Câu hỏi và câu trả lời mẫu Transportation IELTS Speaking part 2

Describe a method of transport that you enjoy using.

You should say:

what kind of transport it is

how often you use it

where you travel using it

and explain why you enjoy using it.

Regardless of whether it is a public transport or a private vehicle, transportation plays an important role in our lives. Here, I want to talk
about my favorite mode of transportation. Among the modes of transport, I prefer the bus, because taking the bus is very affordable, saves
money on gas and doesn’t have to be annoying to drive in traffic.

I usually go to work from home to the office, about 5 km away, by bus. I believe that commuting in a well-ventilated vehicle driven by a
licensed and well-trained driver seems like a good idea instead of worrying about distracted driving.

There are a number of reasons why I travel by bus and why it is one of my favorites because first, I can complete my pending tasks. Second,
I get to meet new people from all over the city. These encounters will develop into lasting friendships at a later date. In addition, the seats
on the bus are spacious. Besides being low cost and convenient, buses contribute to reducing pollution. Most importantly, buses are a
safer means of transportation as most accidents are caused by the careless driving negligence of an individual.

Overall, the bus is my favorite means of transportation because it offers great comfort and safety at a relatively affordable price.

I don’t have many gadgets… I have a computer, a laptop, and a smartphone, and I can’t imagine my life without them… My laptop, on the
other hand, is the most important technological device in my life… It was a birthday present from my parents a few years ago, and I’ve used
it practically every day since then. Using it felt like rocket science at first, but after a few weeks, I was able to complete all of my chores…
From web browsing to reinstalling an operating system… Furthermore, without my laptop, I would be unable to accomplish my academic
coursework… I also use it to search the Internet for whatever I need, whether it’s a piece of code for my project or a helpful steak-cooking
tip… In general, my laptop has become an indispensable tool for me…
YouTube is the website that I utilize the most. Back when YouTube was in its infancy, I learned about it from my pals. It was not considered
a good idea at the time because the internet was still in its infancy. YouTube is a video-sharing website where users from all over the world
create and post videos for others to view, comment on, and enjoy. Education-related videos are also produced. There are tutorials on a wide
range of subjects. The user interface is straightforward. You simply create a video and publish it to YouTube. You may also utilize analytics
to discover who has viewed it and how many comments have been left. You can also make money from your videos by monetizing them.
It’s beneficial to me since it can offer a unique alternative profession to folks who believe they’re not cut out for traditional jobs. This means
that YouTube videos can help you achieve popularity and money while also informing people about something. This also allows you to work
on something you enjoy.

Do you think we need to know much about computers?

Well, not too much, but there are a few key points that everyone should be aware of. To begin, you must understand how to type a web
URL… how to explore websites… It is critical nowadays to be able to search the internet for information…

What is the most impactful piece of technology in our lives?

The Internet, in my opinion, is the most significant technological advancement of our time… It provides us with a plethora of fresh options
to learn about everything we wish about our environment! All you have to do now is turn on your computer and go online… We can do it
quickly and almost everywhere with wireless networks at home and public Wi-Fi hotspots.

How computers affect our everyday life?

In a positive way, certainly. It shapes the way I learn everything. When I did not have my own computer in the past, I had to dive deep into
many different books to seek for information I needed. But now, I only need to “google” it, you know. It’s so convenient that I can learn
everything in a matter of seconds

How effective is the use of computers in the classroom?

Hmm… in my opinion, using computers in the classroom is not effective at all. First, you can easily be distracted by switching to surf on
social media because it’s way more entertaining than dry lessons. And second, you will not focus on interacting with teachers and other
students which is crucial for easily absorbing knowledge. That’s the two reasons why we should consider whether to use computers in
classroom or not.

Well, saving money is of the most crucial practice that everyone should do to achieve financial stability or to afford to buy something you
really want. For me, I saved money for many items that I’m using at the moment such as my laptop and my airpods but I would like to share
with you the time when I set aside to buy my mother a new dress
It was my mother’s birthday and I, her only son, had not given her anything on that special day. That’s why I decided to surprise my mother
with a new dress which she always dreamed of. I had to cut off my expenses on some routines like having a Starbuck cup of coffee in every
afternoon or eating out regularly. Instead, I made my own coffee and meals at home for 3 weeks. Finally, after my “great” efforts, the money
I set aside was enough for me to purchase a new dress for my mother.
It was a long red dress with some crystals sticked on the chest. My mother really loved it and she gave me a kiss on my cheek right when
she opened the gift. I felt extremely happy and for a moment, I thought I had grown up (:D) I think that everyone should buy something for
their beloved ones because you will definitely have some really good feelings after
Is it important to have a savings account?

The importance of having a savings account is easily overlooked. Because you keep the savings account away from spending account, it
will prevent you from irrationally using it. Especially for young people, they should have their own savings account because they are more
likely bad at personal financial management. And for adults, it is of the most crucial pracitice because they have to spend on many big
things like building a new house or buying a new car. I think that it does not depend on how much you will get but how much you will set
aside.

What problems does money cause in your society?

Money causes a lot of problems in Vietnamese society. In the field of politics, leaders become selfish and greedy because of money.
Politicians engage in graft and corruption, which makes them incompetent and ineffecient public servants. It is the society that suffers out
of this. And in the field of relationship, people tend to make friends or have love affairs with those who are rich and can afford to buy them
things they want. I think that kinds of relationship will not last long and leave many side effects.
Should children be encouraged to save money by parents?

I think if we let our children expose to monetary matters in their young ages, they will have more chances to learn how to spend and save
money. So it’s important to teach them from a young age that money isn’t just for spending—they should be saving money regularly, too.
Learning to save isn’t just an essential money habit. Saving teaches discipline and delayed gratification which are crucial for building
children’s personality.

6. NEIGHBOUR

Tổng hợp câu hỏi và câu trả lời IELTS Speaking Neighborhood Part 2

Describe one of your neighbors.

You should say:

o  when you two became neighbors

o  how often you meet him/her
o  whether your neighbor is a good person

and explain why you like/ dislike this neighbor.

Today, I’m going to tell you about one of my neighbors. Her name is Linh. I got to know her a couple of years ago when I first
moved to Ha Noi to study.

At that time, I was living in an apartment building, on the ninth floor, to be specific. Normally, I hardly met any of my neighbors
because I spent most of my day at my university.  However, one day, when I was going to (định làm gì) go up to my floor, a young
girl ran up to me and asked me to hold the elevator door.

Then, when she was in the elevator, she introduced herself a little. She was a first year student at Foreign Trade University, and her
room was on the ninth floor. I couldn’t believe my ears (không tin được những điều mình vừa nghe), she was at the same school and
on the same floor with me. What a coincidence! (Thật là trùng hợp).
We met each other quite often as we shared the same study schedule (có cùng lịch học), and gradually, we became closer. To be
honest, in the first place, from her appearance and style of  clothes, I gathered that she is someone who is active (năng động) and
energetic, but it turned out she is quite bashful. In particular, when she was with me, she was quite talkative, but she would
become tongue-tied (líu lưỡi) when she tried to talk to strangers.

As for me, she was an excellent neighbor. She sometimes invited me for a meal and her food was amazing. I think just her food
can suffice (đủ để làm gì) to melten (làm tan chảy) heart of any man, let alone her beauty.

I find myself so lucky to have a neighbor like her. She totally gave me a sense of community (tinh thần cộng đồng).

Tổng hợp câu hỏi và câu trả lời IELTS Speaking Neighborhood Part 3

Do you think neighbors are important?

From my observation, it really depends on the neighborhood you are living in. Some might say that neighbors are essential to our lives
as they can give us a sense of community (tinh thần cộng đồng), and they even offer help when we are in need (thiếu đồ ăn/ tiền
bạc).

However, I guess, this is only the case (là đúng) when you live in a socially cohesive neighborhood (khu phố gắn kết). Otherwise, it
would be a nightmare if you lived nearby those who are always gossipy (nhiều chuyện) and inquisitive (tọc mạch) about your private
affairs (các chuyện đời tư).

Do you think it's important to teach children how to have good relations with neighbors?

Of course. Getting on well with  (có mối quan hệ tốt) neighbors is the nuts and bolts of (thiết yếu) an excellent neighborhood, so I
guess children should be taught this from an early age.

This, needless to say, is beneficial for the development of the children. They can learn how to communicate and behave
properly (giao tiếp và cư xử đúng mực) with other people, and this is, for sure, a vital skill in their later (sau này) lives. That’s not to
mention, building a good relationship (xây dựng một mối quan hệ tốt) with neighbors can give children a sense of community (tinh
thần cộng đồng) that can make them feel welcome and safe.

What kind of problems can people have with neighbors?

Off the top of my head, there are some problems that can arise (phát sinh) among neighbors.

First, they can have a fight over late night noise (tiếng ồn ban đêm). The noise from late parties can be a nuisance  (nỗi phiền toái) to
people, especially elderly people, as they might find it hard to fall asleep. What’s more, if this happens continually, it comes as no
surprise that (không có gì ngạc nhiên) the noise would drive them crazy (khiến họ tức điên lên) and it might be hard for them
to keep their tempers (giữ bình tĩnh).

Another neighborhood conflict (xung đột với hàng xóm) I could think of is over pets. Some might have a dislike for (không
thích) pets, like dogs or cats, because they can make a mess (gây bẩn) everywhere. That’s not to mention, if the owners of these pets
do not have the common sense (ý thức chung) to clean up after their pets  (dọn phân thú nuôi), their neighbors would have to do it,
and this, of course, might be root of a dispute between the neighbors and the pets’ owners.

drug abuse and so on, and police have reported a staggering increase in the number of acts of mindless vandalism. It is time the party in
power did something.”

institution, e.g. She robbed an elderly person / a bank. Steal is often used in the passive, e.g. My car was stolen.

production. James King, in particular, gave an outstanding performance. Of course, the cast cannot take full credit for its success;
we must also warmly congratulate the director. He has received critical acclaim many times in the past. He justly deserves all
the rave reviews he will undoubtedly receive from many others as well as myself. We must also give credit to the productionʼs
wardrobe department. I am sure they will also win a lot of praise for their original and exciting costumes.

11. MEMORY

When I first met my new boss, I had/got the impression that he might be a difficult person to work for. I sensed some tension between us.
Now I have a feeling that he is trying to make things difficult for me. I don’t know whether I should trust my intuition and hand in my
resignation. Or am I just being ridiculously over-sensitive?
For the last few weeks I’ve been much more sensitive to heat and sensitive to light than I used to be. I’ve always had sensitive
skin and sensitive teeth but this is much worse than ever before. My hands have also started going numb if I get at all cold. I used to have
an acute sense of smell and acute hearing but I don’t any more.

Notice all the memory collocations in this dialogue between two old school friends.

Beth: I saw Terry last night. Do you remember her? We were at school together.

Emma: No, my long-term memory is terrible these days. Come to think of it, my short-term memory isn’t that brilliant either. And I used
to have such a good
memory! Anyway, give me a clue.
Beth: She was the one with long black hair and glasses. You always used to say that she reminded you strongly of that singer you used to
like.
Emma: Oh, yes. I vaguely remember her now. She used to be friends with Jo, didn’t she?
Beth: Yes. I’d clean forgotten about her too. She ran over to me in the street and said hello. My mind went blank. I could remember her
face but I’d completely forgotten her name. But once we started talking, the memories came flooding back. My earliest memory of her is
that we all went to the beach with her parents one weekend when we were about 12.
Emma: Oh yes. Now you’re stirring up memories for me. I can distinctly remember being stung by a jellyfish in the water.
Beth: I can see why you wanted to blot out that memory!
Emma: I can vividly remember it now though. Actually, the whole weekend was an unforgettable experience. We told ghost stories all
night if I remember rightly.
Beth: Oh yes, that’s right. Now I remember it well. It’s terrible how memories fade as time passes, isn’t it! Mind you, I’m happy to lose some
of my more painful memories of school.

I’m going to talk about one of my favourite educational TV programmes, which is a  documentary called ‘Planet Earth’. There are several
episodes in this programme, and each one features a different habitat on Earth, such as mountains, caves, deserts and jungles. It also
showed us how the Earth was formed way back then.
I first saw ‘Planet Earth’ on television when it was broadcast years ago. At first, I didn’t pay much attention to the show. However the
trailers were really eye-catching because they showed stunning images of nature. These trailers persuaded me to watch the first episode.
After the first episode, I was so interested that I continued to watch the whole series.
What I liked most about the ‘Planet Earth’ series was the photography, and by that I mean the epic scenes. They tell the story of the planet
from when it was created from ash and rocks to now when it is a beautiful habitat for all living creatures. I was amazed at how they
had managed to film in so many locations. I enjoyed learning about strange animal species, and the programme opened my eyes
to the wonders of our planet. I would definitely watch more programmes similar to this in the future.

My hometown is the city of Hanoi. Hanoi is the capital of Vietnam and the country’s second-largest city. Hanoi’s now the country’s center
of economy, politics and culture. Hanoi’s also well known for the typical tropical climate with four seasons. The scenery in Hanoi in fall is
very romantic, which attracts many tourists during that time of the year.
In Hanoi, food is everywhere that you look and it is an important part of the livelihoods of many locals. Street food can be found on the

CRIME

1. Is your country a safe country?

Các bạn hãy sử dụng các từ vựng gợi ý để trả lời các câu hỏi dưới đây trước nhé!
Từ vựng gợi ý:
compared to (the US): so sánh với
mass shootings: những vụ xả súng hàng loạt
frequently (adv): thường xuyên
without worrying about sth: không phải lo lắng về cái gì
to be shot: bị bắn
terrorism (n): khủng bố
blessing (n): điều may mắn
Các bạn hãy nhấn vào đây để xem câu trả lời mẫu nhé!
I suppose so. Compared to the US, where mass shootings happen rather frequently, in Vietnam people can go out without worrying
about being shot by a random guy on the street. Besides, as far as I know, there is almost no terrorism in my country, so it’s such
a blessing to live here.
2. Is shoplifting common in your country?
Từ vựng gợi ý:
petty crimes: tội vặt, tội nhỏ
occur (v): xảy ra
regularly (adv): thường xuyên
shop owners: chủ cửa hàng
have sth stolen: bị ăn trộm
install security cameras: lắp đặt máy quay an ninh
live abroad: sống ở nước ngoài
commit minor crimes: phạm các tội vặt
damage (v): phá hủy
reputation (n): danh tiếng
offender (n): kẻ vi phạm
be sent to prison: bị tống vào tù
good behaviour: cách cư xử tốt
Các bạn hãy nhấn vào đây để xem câu trả lời mẫu nhé!
Admittedly, although major crimes are not a serious problem in Vietnam, petty ones do occur regularly, and shoplifting is not an
exception. Shop owners may easily have their goods stolen if they do not install security cameras in their stores. Besides, some
Vietnamese people living abroad still commit such minor crimes, which damages the reputation of our country. I think
those offenders should be sent to prison for several months so that they can learn good behaviour.
3. Have you ever seen a crime?
Từ vựng gợi ý:
luckily (adv): may mắn thay
crime documentaries: các phim tư liệu tội phạm
murder case: vụ giết người
terrible (adj): tồi tệ
murderer (n): kẻ giết người
the death penalty: án tử hình
Các bạn hãy nhấn vào đây để xem câu trả lời mẫu nhé!
Luckily, no. But I’ve seen several crime documentaries on TV, and I would say that there were some murder cases which were
really terrible and such murderers must be given the death penalty.
II. Luyện nói Part 3
1. Do you think that young criminals should be sent to prison for serious crimes?
Từ vựng gợi ý:
young offender: tội phạm trẻ
to be tempted: bị dụ dỗ
go back to their old ways: quay lại con đường cũ (thường là xấu)
to be set free: được thả tự do
rehabilitate (v): cải tạo
organize (v): tổ chức
program (n): chương trình
educate (v): giáo dục
law-abiding citizen: công dân tuân thủ pháp luật
participate in: tham gia vào
community service: hoạt động công ích
make up for sth: bù đắp
Các bạn hãy nhấn vào đây để xem câu trả lời mẫu nhé!
I don’t think so. The most important reason is that young offenders being put into prison might be tempted to go back to their old
ways after they are set free. You know, I simply think that they can’t be rehabilitated in this way. Instead, the government ought
to organize some programs to educate young criminals and turn them into law-abiding citizens. Those criminals also have to participate
in community service to make up for their crimes.
2. What qualities should a police officer have?
Từ vựng gợi ý:
say no to any kind of bribes: nói không với bất cứ hình thức hối lộ nào
get involved in: liên quan tới
corruption (n): tham nhũng
lose trust in sb: mất niềm tin
physical fitness: sự khỏe mạnh về mặt thể chất
chase after: đuổi theo
fight with: đánh nhau với
remain calm: duy trì sự bình tĩnh
dangerous situation: tình huống nguy hiểm
wise decision: quyết định sáng suốt
Các bạn hãy nhấn vào đây để xem câu trả lời mẫu nhé!
I guess the very first one is that they have to say no to any kind of bribes. I mean, they must not get involved in any corruption. Otherwise,
people will lose trust in them. Apart from that, physical fitness is another essential quality of policemen because without it, they
can’t chase after or fight with criminals. Last but not least, police officers should also be able to remain calm in dangerous situations so
that they can make wise decisions.
