GR.I 251/441 filtration units

The GR.I 251/441 is a new double-bag straddle filtration unit specially designed
to replace the injected GR.I 250 and rotomoulded F44 units, and is the latest
addition to Desjoyaux's range of filtration units.
With an innovative design and a superb finish, this new filtration unit benefits
from all the technical know-how developed for the latest Desjoyaux technical
products. It is available in two different versions: the GR.I 251 version for private
pools; and a second version for public pools, with the code GR.I 441.

This solid-coloured unit features several body elements in the blue of the
Desjoyaux logo, instantly identifying it as a Desjoyaux-branded item.

> The GR.I 251/441 was created in partnership with our
designer, and introduces a new stylish look. Its distinctive
shape, combined with the use of flat PVC pipes, has reduced
its overhang in relation to the pool deck and also meant that
the stair handrails can be removed.

The various elements of the GR.I 251/441 are injection moulded in
a white polypropylene, containing 20% calcium carbonate, and
benefiting from an anti-UV treatment (this material is identical to
that used in the R176 and R276 staircases, the PF.I 180 filtering
panel and the GR.I 181 filtration unit). This guarantees reduced part
wear and prevents porosity in the long term. Special pipework
elements are injected with rigid anti-UV PVC, already used by
Desjoyaux for numerous other applications (wall feedthroughs,
adapter fittings, etc.).

a number of optional pipes:
- Bypass piping,
- Adaptation piping for an electric heater,
- Piping for JD Sel Sea (adaptation of the standard discharge
piping).

It is no longer necessary to drill a hole in the technical
compartment to connect the optional bypass piping: it can now
be connected through hermetic feedthroughs located in the
bottom of the technical compartment.
 The GR.I 441 Version
This unit is intended for use in public pools, and features several
notable differences in comparison with the GR.I 251. It is
equipped with a frontal discharge nozzle and two side discharge
nozzles. The filtration system is still fitted with two removable
filtration bowls. However, this version of the injected unit has
two P25 pumps, to ensure that the quality of the filtered water
meets current legal standards.

Adapted pool covers

The various pool covers (safety covers or otherwise) have been modified to accommodate this new filtration unit:
• Bubble cover
A specific cut-out has been created to accommodate the new filtration unit

This version of safety cover will partially cover the unit and will be supplied with a
reinforcement above the unit in order to protect the upper section of the filtration
compartment.

• Filecopaque cover
This type of safety cover does not cover the filtration unit completely, and does not include

• Bar cover
The cover will be fitted with side flaps to the left and right of the filtration unit GR.I 251/441,
held taut by 4 catches. The bar cover storage area must be situated opposite the filtration
unit when it is folded out. The code of filtration cut-out is the same as for the other units

• Immersed or above-ground cover (fold-out)
A specific "filtration cut-out" forms a tight fit around the filtration unit immersed in the pool

 Adapted shelters
The three types of shelter that exist currently have been carefully analysed in order to approve the integration of the GR.I
251/441 unit.
• Low-line shelter
No modification is scheduled for this type of shelter, as the gate is located on the front of its foremost facade, and is already
high and wide enough to allow the installation of the GR.I 251/441 unit.
• Mid-high shelter
A technical solution is currently being examined to adapt this type of shelter for the new model of filtration unit
• Residential shelter
There are no restrictions for this type of shelter as it is accessed by sliding frontal doors.

Availability
The new GR.I 251/441 filtration unit will be available for purchase during April 2008.

Certification
Like all the filtration units in the Desjoyaux range, the GR.I 251/441 has been thoroughly examined by a laboratory with
accreditation from an appropriate certification body.
This official approval guarantees compliance with current European electrical standards, particularly mandatory safety
requirements, and enables us to label each GR.I 251 filtration unit with the CE mark.
CE approval means that the supplier, the quality or the quantity of electrical components (connection box, transformer, pump,
etc.) in the GR.I 251 filtration unit cannot be changed without their prior authorisation.
The installation of this filtration unit, when carried out in accordance with the recommendations in the technical instructions,
also complies with the requirements of French standard NF C 15-100, dating from 2002.

The "eco-participation" environmental tax

Since 15 November 2006, European directive 2002/96/CE concerning the obligation to collect and process certain waste
electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) has been implemented in France's national legislature by decree 2005/829. This
directive applies to both mainland France and its overseas départements.
The legal obligations of eco-participation legislature concern:
• Forez Piscines, as the manufacturer of filtration units, pumps, control panels, etc.
• Desjoyaux dealerships, as points of sales for these products to end-customers.
The GR.I 251/441 filtration unit is considered a piece of electrical and electronic equipment (EEE).

Once assembled, the GR.I 251/441 filtration unit is packed in a specially designed box (outside dimensions: 1,610 x 888 x 1,300 mm).

The box is then strapped to a special pallet to ensure optimum transit conditions for the GR.I 251/441 (pallet dimensions: 1,610 x
900 mm).
Total weight of the packed GR.I 251/441 unit, without pump and without control panel: 105 kg
