Ashbringer changes the value of dice that show 1. Is that all 1s, any number of 1s, or only a
single 1? And if it's multiple 1s, do you discard a card for each? And can you choose not to apply
this power so you don't have to discard?
Third Eye has a "while displayed" power that involves revealing. How does that work?

The Unveiling has a Craft check to recharge. Should it have a Craft check to acquire?
Storybook
The rules regarding the Base list a few situations when it doesn't count as a
location. Is that list complete?
No. There are many potential situations where it doesn't count as a location, so let's
definitively list the few situations when it does count and then provide a few examples
of when it doesn't.
Resolution: On page 4 of the storybook, replace the paragraph that begins "When a
scenario lists the Base" with the following.
When a scenario lists the Base, set it out with the other locations as usual. When
you build the locations, shuffle all of your rallied supporters into the Base; do not
add story banes to it. The Base cannot be closed while it has cards in it, and can
never have cards in it other than supporters. Characters may start at the Base and
can choose to move to and from it as usual. It counts as a location only for
exploring, examining, and moving; it does not count as a location when counting
locations, randomly choosing locations, or determining if villains can escape to it. If
all other locations are closed, or the Base has neither cards in it nor characters at it,
the Base closes automatically. (A simplified version of these rules appears on the
Base as a reminder; these are the complete rules.)
Same as you do with all the other scenarios: select it yourself or choose it randomly.
In Solve the Mystery scenarios, if you examine a Trigger boon that makes
you encounter it, and you acquire it, the Golden Rules say that I have to
follow the scenario rule and reload it into another location rather than
keep it. Is that right?
No—we want you to keep it.
In Scenario 1B, the Golden Rules say that when I examine and defeat an
Evidence, the storybook rule (which says to put it on top of any location)
trumps the card's power (which has you display it). Is that right?
Resolution: On page 13 of the storybook, in During This Scenario, add the italicized
part to the following sentence: "At the end of your turn, you may examine the top card
of your location, then if you didn't encounter it, put that card on top of a location.
Scenario 2A refers to the location Ship, but I don't have that location. Do
you mean Boat?
Yes.
Resolution: On page 18 of the storybook, in During this Scenario, change "add the new
location Ship" to "add the new location Boat".
In scenario 2A, after the Proxy A cards change to Blood Veil, are they still
closing henchmen?
Yes.
Resolution: On page 18 of the storybook, in During This Scenario, change "All Proxy A
cards are now Blood Veil" to "All Proxy A cards are now the closing henchman Blood
Veil".
Scenario 2D calls for a location called Dungeon, but the location card says
Dungeons. Which is correct?
The location card.
In scenario 7A, doesn't the scenario power prevent me from exploring the
Base? And does the card I encounter count as an exploration?
It shouldn't prevent you from exploring the Base, and it does count as an exploration.
Resolution: On page 48 of the storybook, in During This Scenario, change "When you
would explore, instead encounter the top card of the siege pile as if it were the top card
of your location” to "For your exploration at any location other than the Base,
encounter the top card of the siege pile as if it were the top card of your location”.

He can use it to use Knowledge instead of Acrobatics or Stealth to acquire cards that
have the Finesse trait. He should also be able to first play a Finesse weapon to use
Acrobatics for his combat check, then use his power to switch it to Knowledge, but the
printed wording doesn't allow that.
Resolution: On Quinn's character card and both sides of his role card, change "For
your check that invokes Finesse, you may recharge (□ or reload) a card to use
Knowledge instead of Acrobatics or Stealth, and add the card’s level" to "When you
attempt a check that invokes Finesse, you may recharge (□ or reload) a card to use
Knowledge instead of Acrobatics or Stealth, and add the card’s level".
Resolution: On Varian's role Scion of Cheliax, change "If the card you recharge is a
Diplomacy or Finesse card, add its level" to "If the card you recharge is a Finesse card or
lists Diplomacy in its check to acquire, add its level".

According to the storybook, all the effects that happen when you play your
harrow are optional, yet the Harrow Suit Effects card has the words "you
may" on only one effect. Which is correct?
The storybook.
Resolution: On the Harrow Suit Effects card, the "When You Play Your Harrow" effects
should read as follows:
Adventure 1: You may draw a card and you may give a card.
Adventure 2: You may heal an ally and you may remove 1 of your scourges.
Adventure 3: You may recharge up to 3 cards and you may draw that many cards.
Adventure 4: You may draw a weapon or an armor from your discards.
Adventure 5: You may heal a blessing and/or a Divine card.
Adventure 6: You may draw a random ally from your discards.
Are the "When you explore" powers on the Base and the Fishery in addition
to exploring, or instead of it?
Instead of it.
Resolution: On the locations Base and Fishery, change “When you explore” to “For your
exploration”.
On the location Glade, does "otherwise" mean “if you do not defeat it” or “if
you do not defeat it or do not choose to summon it"?
The former.
Resolution: On the location Glade, change the At This Location power to "When you
would encounter a non-story bane monster or barrier, you may instead summon and
encounter the danger. If you do, and do not defeat it, shuffle the original bane into its
location; if you defeat it, banish the original bane."
The Thug's power says I may either banish a boon or attempt a check that
can result in damage. Why would I want to do either of those things?
No.
Resolution: On the spell False Life, in the first bullet, change "banish to reduce" to "you
may banish to reduce"...
Cards: Level 1
Resolution: On the monster Strangler, change "Instead, bury the 1d4 cards of your
deck" to "Instead, bury the top 1d4 cards of your deck".
Cards: Level 2
No.
Resolution: On the spell Full Pouch, in the first bullet, change "freely banish to let them
recharge the item" to "you may freely banish to let them recharge the item".
Cards: Level 4
When you examine the Emperor Scorpion, how much Poison damage do you
suffer?
1.
Resolution: On the monster Emperor Scorpion, the first power should read "When
examined, suffer 1 Poison damage, then encounter this monster."
Cards: Level 5
Resolution: On the monster Banshee, delete the second occurrence of "When you
discard cards as damage, discard them from the top of your deck."
Yes, it should.
Resolution: On the monster Hordemaster, add "Immune to Mental and Poison" as the
first power.
Resolution: On the barrier Forbiddance, change "When you would explore, first move
to a random other location” to “When you would explore, move to a random other
location and explore it instead”.
Ashbringer changes the value of dice that show 1. Is that all 1s, any number
of 1s, or only a single 1? And if it's multiple 1s, do you discard a card for
each? And can you choose not to apply this power so you don't have to
discard?
It affects all 1s, and you discard a single card. And the power does not say "you may,"
so it is not optional.
Resolution: On the weapon Ashbringer, change "If any die rolled on this check shows
1, count it as a 3 or, if proficient, as a 6, then discard the top card of your deck” to "After
the roll, count each die showing a 1 as 3 or, if proficient, as 6, then discard the top card
of your deck".
Third Eye has a "while displayed" power that involves revealing. How does
that work?
Resolution: On the item Third Eye, change "On your Perception check, you may freely
reveal to add 1d10” to "On your Perception check, you may freely draw this card to add
1d10".
