your dog's diet, or using new
supplements, please check
with your vet first.

What I'm sharing with you are

recipes that have worked for
us that I've formulated based
off the last 5 years of endless
research and our own personal
experience.
About Noah & His Diet
Noah was adopted in September of
2014. Upon making the decision to
adopt a dog, I went into it with the
intentions as if I was adopting a child.

I was going through drastic changes

during that time with how my diet
alone was changing my life and health,
so Noah's diet was also going to be an
area of importance.
Canned and overly-processed dog foods
with fillers and additives was out of the
question. Within the first couple months
of getting Noah, he was eating a raw meat
diet.

I noticed how whenever I'd be juicing,

he'd go crazy for greens and vegetables.
I also started noticing how people online
were talking about their dogs being vegan
and how it improved their health as well
as allergies.

This inspired me to dive deeper and

question if dogs can truly survive on a
vegan diet. After months of research and
gaining education on this matter, not only
are dogs omnivores, but they can survive
and thrive on a plant-based diet.

We decided to give it a try. It was a very

smooth transition and it may have helped
he was young when we switched him to a
plant-based diet. We started with simple
recipes we found online as well as
youtube videos.

Over the years, his meals have evolved

through trial and error, and incorporating
supplements and superfoods.

Noah is about to hit his fifth year being

vegan and his blood work at the vet
always comes back great. Our vet praises
Noah for his beautiful coat, energy and
personality.

I thank you for investing in this e-book

and your fur child's health. I hope you
enjoy the information shared, the tasty
plant-based recipes and consider steering
clear of conventional pet food (junk food)
full of animal by-products, preservatives,
fillers and other chemicals.

What NOT
To Feed
Your
Dogs
With so much emphasis on
recipes and foods to give your
fur child, I think it's also
important to know what NOT to
feed them as certain foods can
be very toxic to them. Below is a
list of toxic foods you should
NOT feed your dog:

Grapes Corn on Cob

Onion Table Salt
Chocolate Xylitol
Garlic
Alcohol
Apple Seeds
Coffee/Caffeine
Candy
Macadamia Nuts
Mushrooms
Foods To
Consider
Incorporating
There are many superfoods, herbs and
supplements that I incorporate into
Noah's diet that add an extra boost to his
meals.

Since Noah has gone vegan, he still eats

vegan dry food (currently Wild Earth),
but his main home cooked meals are
prepared for him a couple times a week.

If I make too much, I will freeze the

leftovers and give it to Noah when he
finishes the current batch of food. I like
to switch it up and incorporate different
things into his food so he doesn't get
bored of the same meal.

Some dogs may need to supplement

Taurine an amino acid found in animals,
although it's also found in many vegan
dry food brands like Vdog and Wild Earth.
If you decide to transition your dog to a
plant-based diet, make sure to get your
dog's blood tested 3 months in to make
sure they are getting the necessary
nutrients to thrive on a plant-based diet.

Below are some powders and

supplements Noah loves and can be
beneficial to any diet you have your dog
on.

Spirulina Nutritional Yeast

Chlorella  Chia Seeds
Sea Moss Flax Meal
Dulse Hemp Seeds
Green Mush Hemp or Flax Oil
(Healthfoce Pumpkin Seeds
Superfoods) Sunflower Seeds
Barley Grass Morniga
Turmeric Coconut Meat
Powder
Noah's Favorite
Snacks & Treats
Raw Veggies
As seen on my Instagram, Noah is a huge
fan of raw veggies. He loves carrots for
example, which are great for their teeth.
Below are some great veggies options to
give as treats or to incorporate in their
meals!

Carrots Cucumbers
Bell Peppers Split Peas
Asparagus Spinach
Green Beans zucchini
Broccoli
Fresh Fruits
Fruits are another food Noah loves and
dogs can enjoy as a snack or mixed in
their meals. Here are some of Noah's
favorites and ones you can share with
your pup.

Papaya Melons
Mango Pears
Banana Peaches
Berries Pineapple
Apples Orange
Dehydrated
Sweet Potatoes
Ingredients

2 organic sweet potatoes

Instructions
Start by peeling the skin off the sweet
potatoes and slice them into 1/4" thick
round pieces, preferably with a mandoline
slicer if you have one.

Place them on a dehydrator tray, set

dehydrator to 121 degrees and dehydrate
for 8 hours. Take out and serve when ready!

(See below for oven instructions)

Heat oven to 250 degrees and place sliced

sweet potatoes on a baking tray with
parchment paper in oven for 1 1/2 hours.

Remove the tray from the oven and flip the

sweet potatoes and place back in oven to
bake for an additional 1 1/2 hours.

Remove from oven and let it cool down

before serving. Total cooking time will be 3
hours.
Noah's Raw Energy
Balls
This recipe is one of my personal
favorite raw snack recipes for myself, but
your pups will love it too! It's perfect for
when you take your dog to the park or on a
hike to give them a boost of energy!

Ingredients
1/2 cup of ground chia and flax
1/2 cup of pumpkin seeds
1 cup dried dates
1 cup shredded coconut flakes

Instructions
Add dates, pumkin seeds, ground
chia/flax and coconut flakes in the
blender and pulse until ingredients are
well combined.

Scoop ingredients out with a tablespoon

then roll between your hands to form a
ball and serve! You can store the balls in a
sealed container in the fridge for up to a
week or in the freezer for longer shelf life.
Juice Pulp Dog
Treats
This is a fun & creative way to make dog
treats using juice pulp from your juicer.
You can use this recipe, but you can
also add whatever other spices or
ingredients your pup may like!
Ingredients
3 cups of juice pulp
2 cups of almond flour
3 tblspoons of ground flax seed
1/4 cup coconut oil
Splash of water

Instructions
Mix all ingredients in a bowl. You can use
a food processor to make it smoother.

Spread the mixture flat on a dehydrator

sheet and use a knife to lightly cut into
squares.

Place in the dehydrator and dehydrate at

120 degrees for 10 hours or overnight.

Take out and serve when ready!

Noah's Favorite
Drinks
Young Thai Coconut Water
Coconut water is one of my favorite
drinks and I quickly realized it's Noah's
as well. Like with humans, coconut
water is super hydrating being high in
essential electrolytes and potassium.
1/4 - 1/2 cup of coconut water

Make sure you are using water from a fresh

coconut and not processed from a bottle.
Carrot Juice
I share fresh juices quite frequently with
Noah. You can give them pure juice or
dilute it in a little water.

1/4 - 1/2 cup of carrot juice

(3-4 carrots)
Celery Juice
I normally dilute the celery juice with
a little bit of distilled water but if your
pup likes it straight, that works too!

1/4 - 1/2 cup celery juice

(3-4 celery ribs)
Cucumber & Coconut
Water
You can also use straight cucumber juice
but this is Noah's favorite juice mix!

1/4 cup of coconut water

1/4 cup of cucumber juice
Noah's Green Smoothie

1/2 cup filtered or distilled water (or fresh

coconut water)
1/2 banana
Teaspoon of hemp or chia seeds
1/4 cup of spinach

Place all the ingredients in a blender, and

serve once smoothly blended together!
Noah's Dinners
Noah has been getting meals
prepared for him for about 5 1/2
years. The base is always some type
of quinoa/brown rice/wild rice,
followed by some type of bean (he
loves garbanzo beans), lentils
(green or red) and sweet potatoes.

The ingredients listed above are

boiled on the stove in distilled water
for about 20 minutes. Once the base
ingredients are fully cooked, I mix in
the raw ingredients, as well as the
other supplements I mentioned in
the "Foods to Consider Adding"
page earlier in this e-book.

The meals I make last about 3 days

in the fridge and you can also freeze
it if you make too much for a later
time.
Noah gets 1 heaping cup of food in
the morning and 1 heaping cup for
dinner. As stated earlier, he also has
his vegan dry food in his bowl if he's
still hungry.

I will list 3 examples below of

prepared meals I make for Noah. You
can also incorporate digestive
enzymes to their food or even throw
the food (once cooked) in the food
processor to help break it down for
them so it's easier for them to digest.

You can always modify the meals

however you'd like depending on
your dog's preferences. These are
just some of Noah's favorite
prepared meals!
