Application: With hotline studs at both
ends of the switch, a recloser needing
maintenance can be easily bypassed
and disconnected. This can be done
economically without disturbing
continuity of service and without the
use of special tools.
Operation: With a hot stick, the switch
blade is removed from its 150° positive
latch and moved to a closed and
positive latched position. The opening
of the recloser and removal of the hot-
line clamps makes the recloser
available for servicing. When returning
the recloser to service, a pryout
mechanism makes opening the switch
easy under any condition.
