DOCUMENTARY – THE VILLAGES OF

VILLAVICENCIO, ABOUT A FOCUS OF
POLLUTION

1. Who do we empathize with?

We interviewed residents, tourists, workers, shopkeepers and young athletes
from the villages of Carmen, Argentina and Buenos Aires. The people who
have lived there for more than 15 years share with us their sadness about the
environmental pollution problem that is evident near their homes. They also
tell us that among those responsible for this problem are the merchants,
tourists and people who practice sports. The most popular sports in these
places are athletics and cycling.

2. What do they need to do?

They need to organize as a community. Find efficient ways to reduce
pollution. Contact the environmental authorities. Have a greater knowledge
about the impact of environmental pollution on their quality of life. Learn to
use recycling techniques and garbage collection.

3. What do they see?

They see garbage dumped on the street, leftover food, and the packaging of
the products, bottles, remains of tire, rubble, and dirty things, shoes, clothes.
4. What do they say?
Pollution is damaging our earth.

They say what this situation is attributed to the lack of education. Know
what is recyclable and what is not. It is quite a complex reality, lack of
empathy. There is no culture of caring for the environment. That recycling
is a great idea. They have to take action must be taken beyond containers,
create awareness of environmental care. The responsibility starts from the
citizenry and reaches the state. Is very important take first place in
government laws.

5. What do they do?

We have to take steps to prevent air pollution.

Buy products that have recyclable or biodegradable packaging, and in

places where they have waste management waste responsibly. It is
important that we all take care of the environment. That the garbage carts
go up to the sidewalks. Look for alternatives, to have ecological points of
garbage.

6. What do they hear?

How to deal with environmental pollution is a serious matter.

They have heard that countries have a technology, and environmental

protection policies, an environmentally conscious society; that their cities are
very clean. They are very beautiful and quiet cities to live. That there are
discussions at the level of all the governments of the world.
