A pleasant morning everyone. Especially to our great English teacher in Grade 10, Mr. Edmund
G. Rentotar. This is Ms. Lara your student teacher and your host for this debate. We are here
gathered to witness the much awaited debate of Grade 10- (SECTION).

We have a two set of groups to battle in our debate and the topics are, BANNING OF
MOBILE DEVICES (SMART/CELLULAR PHONES) AT SCHOOL and the other one is
SHOULD PARENTS DECIDE ON WHICH CAREER THEIR CHILDREN WILL
PURSUE.

We are having Mr. Edmund G. Rentotar, your subject teacher in English to be our judge.

I will call here in front the participants in our debate later as I have some rules for you.

RULES IN DEBATE:
1. Speeches shall not be less than 1 minute and not more than 1 minute. A point shall be
deducted for each ten seconds or in over or under the time limit.
2. Wait for the host/mc to call for your turn before you start defending your stand.

racial stereotypes are unsuitable or not allowed in the debate.

Now I see that all participants are ready to come here in front and share their views about the
