PBBM: The Man Behind the Mirror

Throughout Bongbong's upbringing, the concept of public service was constant and
prominent. Because he spent his youth and formative years in Malacaang and saw
personally his parents' unwavering commitment to serving their country and people, he
made the decision at a young age to dedicate his life to public service and the welfare of
his people.
During his tenure as governor, the province's agriculture received more attention,
cooperatives that support better market opportunities for local farmers were established
and operated with support, numerous agricultural processing and storage facilities were
built, and a policy environment that encouraged and promoted greater investments in
sustainable development and renewable energy sources was created.
As a lawmaker, hefiled House Bill No. 8617 on the creation of a National Institute for
Clean Energy Research after establishing himself as a steadfast supporter of the
prudent and sustainable use of natural resources and alternative or renewable sources
of energy. The Bill aimed to give Filipino engineers and scientists a setting that would
encourage further study, investigation, and development of native technologies that
harness renewable energy.
His political journey had always been tainted with him, being the son of a dictator,
former President Marcos, yet, he showed his ardent love for his fellowmen an d pursued
being the 18th president of the country. He vowed to bring change , unite the people and
pave a path where a brighter future awaits each and every Filipino.
