2. PHUONG PHAP
2.1. BS tri cae thi nghigm
Thi nghiém 1 dude tién hanh tai Trai chan
nudi thyc nghiém Trusng Bai hoc Can Tho
trén ba bd duc lai Sind khoang 24 thang tui,
TL tis 160 dén 180kg. BO duoc nudi theo
phuong thu ca thé va thiét ké theo hinh vudng
la tinh gém 3 bd « 3 giai doan. MOi giai doan
thi nghiém trong 40 ngay. Tir ngay 1 dén 19
‘nu6i thich nghi, sau d6 bd sé dugc uéng déu
dau nanh hoae mé ca vdi liéu 6 milkg TL co
thé véi liéu duy nhét 1 ln vao dau thi nghiém
qua dudng thyc quan. Mau duge thu thap theo
giai doan, mdi giai doan la 7 ngay.

Téng thdi gian thi nghiém la 40 ngay: gdm
49 ngay mudi thich nghi va 21 ngay nudi thi
raghiém, trong 66, chia 3 giai doan nho méi giai

3. KET QUA VA THAO LUAN
3.4. Thi nghigm 4
3.1.1. Thanh phn va gid tri dinh dung cuia
thu an trong thi nghiém
Qua Bang 1 cho thay ham lugng vat chat
hd trong rom la 91,71%, cao hon od léng tay
(19,21%) nhung vé lugng protein théivat chat
khé thi cé ling tay (Brachiaria mutica) la
12.44% cao hon rom (4,59%). Ham wong ADF
NDF va khoang téng sé cla rom cé gia tri lan
lot la: 35,94: 65,07 va 15.52% cao han so véi
6 long tay 31,54; 62.71 va 11,56%.

Cé thé cho ung 6 ml déu dau nanh hoac

C6 thé phé bién ky thuat cho bd uéng dau

SUMMARY
Effects of drenching soybean oil and fish oil on intake, digestibility and
performance of cattle fattening in the Mekong Delta, Vietnam

Three Sindhi-Yellow caltle were fed a basal diet of rice straw and para grass (1.1 DM basis)
and given a single drench of 6 ml/kg LW of either soybean oil or fish oil The experiment was
carried out according to a 3°3 Latin square design, beginning with 20 days of adaptation followed
by 21 days of data collection, in which three sub-periods of 7-days were divided to measure feed
intake and digestibity. In a second experiment, 16 Sindhi-Yellow growing cattle (136-143 kg) at a
cooperative farm were arranged into 3 treatments with 5 replicates, The cattle were fed on the
same diets as in experiment 1 and kept for 90 days after being given a single dose 6 milkg LW of
soybean oil or fish oil
In both oil treatments, apparent digestibility was improved from 54.4 (control) to 613 and
60.9% for soybean and fish oils. In the on-farm trial, growth rate increased to 388 and 390g/day in
cattle given the oil drench compared to the control animals (339 g/day). Feed conversion ratio
tended to be better in cattle given the oll drench. There were no differences between fish ail and
soybean oil in the degree of beneficial effects on the cattle. Both can be applied for fattening cattle
under farm conditions.
