Notes

Katy was very busy in our story station. She spent some time looking at the different characters and
making different animal (character) noises. She then decided to use the wooden characters as
balancing blocks. She carefully placed them on top of each other. She was very focused and used her
fine motor skills to ensure they didn't fall.

I observed her trying to hang the toy snake from the table. I asked her if she needed help and asked
her what we could use. We went for a walk around the form looking for appropriate tools to stick it to
the table. She suggested glue. We talked about how glue was better for sticking paper.

I showed her the tape dispenser. I modelled using it safely and Katie decided this would work.
Together we cut a piece of tape and taped it to the snake's tail. She was very happy with the result and
said "now she can eat the plant". She placed the beanstalk under the snake to show me that now the
snake was happy.

Well done for showing iCreate Katie, you looked for solutions around the form and came up with your
own storyline.
