Simple Past Information Questions

Practice Exercise

Write questions in the past tense for the following answers. Be sure to use ‘did’ and a
wh- question word (what, where, when, why, who, which, or how) at the beginning of
the question. The short answer in parentheses ( ) helps you know which question
word to use. Follow the example.

EXAMPLE: __ Who did you meet last week? _____

(Louisa) I met Louisa last week.

(pizza) Phillip ate pizza yesterday.

2--_____Where did Glen and jody ride their bikes?

(to Laguna Beach) Glen and Jody rode their bikes to Laguna Beach.

(slowly) Tom ran slowly to the store.

(the thief) The police officers found the thief in the closet.
