Skill level: Intermediate

Size: 3-6 months: 10 cm / 4" inner length
MATERIALS:
Yarn Original: SINFONIA Omega (100% mercerized cotton, 100 gram ball | 3.52 oz | 200 meters | 218 yards)
Shade: white – 11 yds, red – 66 yds and black - 66 yds.
Alternative: Use any mercerized cotton in approx. yardage.
Hook: Crochet hook: 1.75 mm
Notions: measurement tape, scissors, stitch markers, tapestry needle, textile glue.
Gauge: 22 sc* 24 rnds = 4’’ (10cm). Always use a crochet hook size that will result in the correct gauge after
blocking.

 Abbreviations (US)

• beg – beginning • PM - put marker

• blo - back loop only • rep – repeat
• ch – chain
• rnd(s) – round(s)
• dc – double crochet
• sc – single crochet
• dec - 2 dc tog: *yarn over, insert hook through stitch to
be worked, yarn over and draw back through stitch, • sl st – slip stitch
now 3 loops on hook, yarn over and draw back through
first 2 loops only* rep to the next st, yarn over and draw • st(s) – stitch(es)
back through the last 3 loops on hook
• (…) – number of sts in total
• flo - front loop only

1 Sole/Bottom (make 2)
Ch 18, join for working in the round. PM to indicate the beginning of a round.
Rnd 1: ch 2, 2dc in the 18th ch last round, 16 dc, 5 dc in the last ch; turn around
and work onto the backside of the foundation chain: 16 dc, 2dc in the last ch, sl st.
Rnd 2: ch 1, 2 inc , 7sc, 2hdc, 7dc, 2dc in each of the next 5 ch, 7dc, 2 hdc, 7sc, 2
inc, 1 sc, sl st.

Rnd 3: ch 2, 2dc in the next ch from hook, 2dc in each of the next 3 ch, 16 dc, 2dc
in each of the next 10 ch, 16 dc, 2dc in each of the next 4 ch, 1dc, sl st.

Rnd 4: ch 1, 1sc, 1 sc in each ch by the end of rnd. Invisible join in the round.

Note: Measure the length of the sole after crochet the 3rd row. It should be not
smaller than 10 cm (4"). If the length smaller than 4", to adjust the size of the sole
up to 2-3 mm, work hdc instead of sc in Rnd 4.

2 Sides of the sole

PM the middle of the heel to indicate the beginning of a
round.

Take white yarn.

Rnd 1: crochet blo: ch 1, 69 sc, sl st under the beg of rnd. (70)

Rnd 2: ch 1, 1 sc in the same ch, 68 sc, sl st under the beg of

rnd. (70)

Rnds 3-4: rep Rnd 2. Cut the yarn, invisible join in the round.

Take black yarn.

Rnd 5: continue from the middle of the heel: ch 1, 69 sc, sl st

under the beg of rnd. (70). Don`t cut the yarn! PM on the sl st.

3 Toe (red part) Second stich from the hook

Work back and forth.

PM1 to indicate 4th st from the middle of the front of shoe to the left,

PM2 to indicate 4th st from the middle of the front of shoe to the right [8 sts].

Take red yarn.

Row 1: Crochet blo: ch 1, 7 sc, 2 sc after M2, turn.

Row 2: 1 sc in the second st from the hook, 7 sc, flo: 2 sc, turn.

Row 3: 1 sc in the second st, 8 sc, blo: 2 sc, turn. Third stich from the hook
Row 4: 1 sc in the second st, 9 sc, flo : 2 sc, turn.

Row 5: 1 sc in the second st, 10 sc, blo: 2 sc, turn.

Row 6: 1 sc in the second st, 11 sc, flo : 2 sc, turn.

Row 7: 1 sc in the second st, 12 sc, blo: 2 sc, turn.

Row 8: 1 sc in the second st, 13 sc, flo : 2 sc, turn.

Continue crochet toe.

Go back to the heel, remove the marker and insert the hook into the loop. Take black yarn.

Rnd 1: ch1, (sc)*till the beginning toe, flo: (2 dc tog, 1dc) *10, flo: 2 dc tog, (sc)* till end the row,
sl st.

Cut the yarn, invisible join in the round.

4 Tongue of sneakers
Work back and forth. Take black yarn. Turn the booties
to face you and begin to knit on the right side of the
toe, in the second loop from the edge.

Row 1: 1 ch, 14 sc, ch 2, turn.

Row 2: 1 dc in the same st, 13 dc, ch 1, turn.

Rows 3 - 8: rep Rnds 1-2.

Row 9: 1 sl st, 1 sc, 2 hdc, 6 dc, 2 hdc, 1sc, sl st.

Cut the thread, fasten off.

Work back and forth. Take black yarn.
Turn the booties with the side towards you. Find the place
where sc and dc meet, count 2 loops to the right and insert
a hook there.

8 Lace (make 2)
You can take ready-made laces and insert them into crocheted sneakers
or crochet yourself.
The length of the laces should be 52-55 cm (20-21”)

Option 1
Take white yarn.
Make a chain of 105 – 115. Cut the thread, fasten off.
Take time to make these look as neat as possible.

Option 2
Take white yarn.
Use a 1,75 mm hook and worked with 2 strands approx. 52-55 cm /20 -
21” as it is shown in the Video.
Cut the thread, fasten off.

Attach the logo and the red back red stripes with textile glue. How to do
this, see the video.
Slip on the laces and the fashion baby sneakers are ready!
