About The Company: Apple was founded as Apple Computer Company on
April 1, 1976, by Steve Wozniak, Steve Jobs and Ronald Wayne to develop and sell
Wozniak's Apple I personal computer. It was incorporated by Jobs and Wozniak as Apple
Computer, Inc. in 1977. The company's second computer, the Apple II, became a best
seller and one of the first mass-produced microcomputers. Apple went public in 1980 to
instant financial success. The company developed computers featuring
innovative graphical user interfaces, including the 1984 original Macintosh, announced
that year in a critically acclaimed advertisement called 1984. By 1985, the high cost of its
products, and power struggles between executives, caused problems. Wozniak stepped
back from Apple amicably and pursued other ventures, while Jobs resigned bitterly and
founded NeXT, taking some Apple employees with him

WHY/NEED BY THE CUSTOMER?

Many people enjoy buying MacBooks because they can handle heavy workloads, such as using video
editing software. The fewer crashes you'll experience will enable you to get your work done quicker.
Plus, you'll have more fun during the creative process. Many people have a strong sense of loyalty to
Apple as a brand, which makes buying the latest MacBook an easy decision for them. Sure, they could
use another brand's computers—but they may also feel like they're missing out when they do so.

Besides its strong branding, Apple also does an excellent job of keeping customers engaged. For
example, the service you get at an official Apple Store is often unmatched. The number of online
threats in existence today, from malware to hacking, makes security a top concern for many customers.
When buying a laptop, you want to ensure that you're less likely to fall victim to a cybersecurity
breach. MacBooks are not 100% foolproof. However, Apple does a pretty good job of mitigating the
potential threats you might face online. macOS itself has excellent security features, and MacBook's
hardware is built with online protection, a key consideration factor.

Mission & Vision

Apple's mission statement, is

"Apple designs Macs, the best personal computers in the world, along with OS X, iLife, iWork, and
professional software. Apple leads the digital music revolution with its iPods and iTunes online
store. Apple has reinvented the mobile phone with its revolutionary iPhone and App Store, and is
defining the future of mobile media and computing devices with iPad." This mission statement
highlights Apple's focus on designing and producing high-quality, innovative hardware and
software products, with a strong emphasis on user experience and design.

Apple's vision statement, also stated on their website, is:

"We believe that we are on the face of the earth to make great products and that's not changing. We
are constantly focusing on innovating. We believe in the simple not the complex. We believe that
we need to own and control the primary technologies behind the products that we make, and
participate only in markets where we can make a significant contribution. We believe in saying no
to thousands of projects, so that we can really focus on the few that are truly important and
6
meaningful to us. We believe in deep collaboration and cross-pollination of our groups, which allow
us to innovate in a way that others cannot. And frankly, we don't settle for anything less than
excellence in every group in the company, and we have the self- honesty to admit when we're
wrong and the courage to change. And I think regardless of who is in what job those values are so
embedded in this company that Apple will do extremely well."

Service: YouTube

YouTube is an American global online video sharing and social media platform headquartered in San
Bruno, California, United States. It was launched on February 14, 2005, by Steve Chen, Chad Hurley,
and Jawed Karim. It is owned by Google and is the second most visited website, after Google Search.
YouTube has more than 2.5 billion monthly users, who collectively watch more than one billion hours
of videos each day. As of May 2019, videos were being uploaded at a rate of more than 500 hours of
content per minute.

In October 2006, YouTube was bought by Google for $1.65 billion. Google's ownership of YouTube
expanded the site's business model, expanding from generating revenue from advertisements alone to
offering paid content such as movies and exclusive content produced by YouTube. It also offers
YouTube Premium, a paid subscription option for watching content without ads. YouTube also
approved creators to participate in Google's AdSense program, which seeks to generate more revenue
for both parties. YouTube reported revenue of $29.2 billion in 2022. In 2021, YouTube's annual
advertising revenue increased to $28.8 billion, an increase in revenue of 9 billion from the previous
year

BUSINESS MODEL OF YOUTUBE

YouTube's main source of revenue is advertising. Additionally, we earn money from our monthly
subscription businesses such as YouTube Premium. We've also developed tools to help eligible
creators earn money in a variety of other ways, such as Super Chat, channel memberships and
merchandise. In most cases, creators and YouTube share revenue generated from these channels.

NEW FEATURES ADDED BY YOUTUBE RECENTLY

• Video Queue

While the ability to queue videos has been available on the desktop version of YouTube, the
feature was unavailable on the mobile app until now. With the recent update, YouTube Premium
users will now be able to add videos to queue on both phones and tablets.

• Watch together

If you are someone who wants to watch videos on YouTube with friends, family or colleagues,
YouTube’s latest Meet Live Sharing feature might come in handy. Available on Android devices,
Premium users can now host Google Meet sessions where all attendees can watch YouTube videos
together. In the coming weeks, YouTube says it will bring the same experience to FaceTime users
on iOS via SharePlay.

9
• 1080p Premium

Available on iOS devices and web version of YouTube in the coming days, Premium members will be
able to watch videos in an enhanced bitrate version of 1080p. If you are someone who watches videos
with lots of detail and motion like sports or gaming, YouTube says the new feature will offer a deeper
visual quality.
