Assignment Description
For these assignments, you’re going to have a little fun with some of the technologies we’ve been
discussing. You will “play” around with them for a few days, share a few screen shots, and write a short
reflection essay on your experiences.

Phase 2: AR Apps
For both apps you experiment with, save, download, or screenshot some of the images you create and
post them in the “Phase 2: AR Apps” discussion board.

Phase 3: Replika
Please ask the following questions to your Replika (you can ask more, but you’re only required to ask
these):
1. What scares you about the future?
 2. What’s your favorite kind of music?
3. Will you tell me a joke?
4. Is AI smarter than humans?
Take a screen shot of these responses and post them in the “Phase 3: Replika” discussion board.

Phase 4: Quick Draw, Blob Opera, Craiyon, TextFX

For all four, save, download, or screenshot the final project and post them in the “Phase 4: Quick Draw,
Blob Opera, Craiyon, TextFX” discussion board.

Reflection Essays
In each reflection essay, you should answer the following questions (you can break it down into these
three categories):
• Before: What were your expectations about this experience before you began?
• During: While you were playing, what surprised you? What was the most unusual aspect? What
was the most interesting aspect?
• After: After you finished, did your experience align with or differ from the expectation you had
before you began?

Grading
As with all assignments in this course, I will use the ENGL 212 rubric to grade your writing. For the
discussion boards, I will be looking for genuine engagement with the apps. If you do not upload your
screen shots, you will not receive credit for that part of the assignment.
