ENGLISH IV DDI012 – SPEAKING TASK
Reading is good for you because it improves your focus, memory, empathy, and communication
skills. It can reduce stress, improve your mental health, and help you live longer. Reading also allows
you to learn new things to help you succeed in your work and relationships.
TASK: Look for a partner in your classroom, create and role-play a conversation in which you are talking
about your favorite books. It can be one you read recently or one you read when you were younger. Tell
the name of the books and who wrote them. Tell what the books are about and details. Finally, tell why
you like them. You two need to interact, ask and answer questions by taking turns. Use proper
expressions and vocabulary studied in class.
• The video must be 3 minutes long. Remember that you have to appear on camera.
• Before starting the speaking, introduce yourselves saying your full name and group. This
is necessary.
• Reading during the video will give you a failing grade. Interaction is necessary.
• You cannot use masks or cover your face during the video.
• You cannot pause or edit the video, remember it is a fluent speaking activity.
• Make sure you record your video in a quiet and illuminated place. Verify the volume.
• Speak fluently and use the right pronunciation of linking sounds and vowel sounds to
develop this task properly.
• Record your video, upload it to Youtube, attach the PDF document with the link in
Atena and submit it individually.
• Make sure your video is available and works perfectly before submitting it.
