Our Obligations to People with Disabilities

An insightful person once remarked, "Difficult situations are thrown in our way, not to stop us,
but to draw forth our courage and fortitude." People who have disabilities are often the most
resilient, daring, and wonderful people you'll ever meet. Most people with disabilities are some
of the bravest, most wonderful people you'll ever meet. It's important to remember that the
world's most influential people have included those who faced significant barriers due to their
physical condition. Paralyzed people like Helen Keller, Stephen Hawking, Albert Einstein, etc.,
have accomplished great things.

Most people don't treat them with positivity and encouragement. Like they don't have any use
for them at all is how they treat them. They make the target feel sorry for themselves and
powerless, as if they are unable to accomplish anything significant in life. Disabled persons, in
reality, have no fewer value than any other human being. The average person is no match for
their abilities.

People with disabilities need to be treated with dignity and respect, just like everyone else. It is
important that they not feel pitied or singled out. The greatest service we can render is to treat
them as we would any other ordinary citizens. We need to cheer them on and back them up so
they can achieve their goals. Our only responsibility is to provide them with the respect and
emotional support they deserve. Any difficulty or adversity they face, they will be able to
overcome it.
