Way before we discuss the beginning of working with

the inside of mechanical watches, we need to discuss
the types of tools needed and how to use these to fix
watches.

One of the first tools you will need is a narrow tipped

tweezer. You will also need a horse hair brush, a
goose neck pliers, an oil pot with cover, a two inch vice
grip pliers, oil stone, oiler, pedwood, miniature eye
glasses that are both high power and medium power, a
miniature eye glass screw driver, a flat file, a narrow
radius circular file and a miniature hand vise.

This is not to mention a white tray, a white piece of

filter paper and an exacto knife with replacement
blades.

All of the above mentioned tools and items are

prerequisites to doing any type of watch or clock
repair work. More will be discussed about further
tools that will prove helpful in the process of repairing
watches and clocks.
