I: Ned Harlin’s Curse

Your camping trip weekend sounded like so much fun and perfect time to show off your new dirt bikes. When the five of you stopped by
the “General Store” for some more beverages, one of your friends injured old man Ned Harlin’s little boy while showing off on the bikes.
The look in Ned’s eyes spelled trouble. Even as you raced away from the shop, he was screaming curses at you. The last thing you heard
was something about vengeance… You get to the cabin and argue if you should go to the police or not. Then Maggie wandered outside,
saying she heard a voice calling her name. She must have been in shock. Then you hear her screams! Where is she?

Table Setup: Set up the table as a thick woodland with lots of trees areas and rocky outcroppings. Place a cabin in the center of table
section A. Place a shed 6” from the outer corner edge in table section B. Leave the area at outer corner of table section D empty for
now. Table section D is considered dense terrain. Players start inside the cabin.

Points of Interest: Place 2 Point of Interest tokens in the house, one on the main floor and one upstairs. Place a point of Interest token in
Section B on the Shed and a point of interest token in the center of section C.
- If a character successfully investigates a POI token in the house, roll on the Supplies table.
- If a character successfully investigates the Shed point of interest token, roll on the table below and add one for each previously
successful investigation roll. If the friend is not found after the third roll, use result 10 on the chart on the third roll.
1-3: Nothing interesting, just old rusty tools and junk.
4: A rusty knife, dull but still can stab with it.
5: A machete, likely used to clear the weeds. Could be useful.
6: A dusty batteries. Maybe it still has some juice?
7: An old flashlight, might still work if you could a battery.
8: You find Maggie’s jacket, torn and bloody. Gain a Terror token.
9: You find one of Maggie’s shoes. Is that a foot inside? Gain a Terror Token
10: Maggie’s body is hanging from a nearby tree by the feet. Claw marks cover the body. Gain a Terror token.
Characters may now attempt to get away per the Objective section.

- If a character successfully investigates the point of interest token on table section C, they find a path that will lead them to a
local’s house. Place a small shanty house on the outer corner of table section D. Table section D no longer counts as dense
terrain. Characters in contact with the door of the house may make an awareness test to try to get someone to help them. If
successful place the Local Boy supporting character token in contact with the house.

Number of Turns: 12

Special Rules:
- Mounting Terror: once a character leaves board section A, at the start of each turn they gain +1 Terror

Lights: Place one light token in contact with the front of the cabin.

Objective: Players must find out what happened to their friend. Once found they must find help by getting at least 2 characters to the
shanty house and successfully getting the Local Boy to come out.

Themed Killer: Pumpkin Demon

When a witch agrees to help one with vengeance for kin slain, she warns him that vengeance comes with a terrible price. The man must
go to an old graveyard and dig up a particular corpse and brings it back to the witch's home. The witch uses blood from parent and child
to resurrect the corpse, which rises as a gigantic, spindly demonic monster named Pumpkin Demon. The Demon avenges the one who was
wronged. If anyone tries to stop it or help his victims, that person becomes marked, too.
M.O. – Stalking
Visage – Mutilated
Traits – Whispers, Relentless, Supernatural

Note: This scenario is the first of three linked scenarios featuring the vengeance of Ned Harlin, the owner of the shop and father of the injured boy.
Characters who survive this scenario may continue in the next scenario. They also keep any equipment they may have found in the Shed or house as well
as the local boy supporting character.
II: Hallowed Ground

You killed that little boy and this creature is seeking vengeance for Ned Harlin! With your car destroyed by the monster, you ran to the
neighbor’s house, begging for help. They shouted for us to go away, they wouldn’t help! Then a dirty face teen climbed out a window!
Runt, the neighbor’s son, relates the legend of the monster Pumpkin Demon, explaining that the monster avenges one who was wronged.
If anyone tries to stop Pumpkin Demon or help his victims, that person becomes marked, too. Pumpkin Demon? What sort of made up
hillbilly story is that, you thought! Then again nothing makes sense now. Runt says there might be a safe place to hide, an old abandoned
church. Perhaps demons cannot come onto holy ground or there’s a cross or something that will scare it?

Table Setup: Set up the table as a thick woodland with lots of trees areas and hilly areas. Place a dirt road horizontally across the center
of table sections C and D. Place a burned-out church (dimensions approximately 6”x6”) in the center of the table. Players start within 4”
of the outer corner of table section A. Place a fright token in the center of each table section.

Points of Interest: Place 4 point of Interest tokens in the burned-out church, one in the center of each wall and a point of interest token
on the road in the center of both section C and section D.
- Remove a POI token at the church once it’s been investigated. If a character successfully investigates a point of interest token
in the church, they have found the church’s holy cross. If not found after the third token is investigated the fourth token will be
the holy cross.
- Once the holy cross is found, the characters may then investigate the other POI tokens. If a character successfully investigates a
point of interest token on table section C or D, they see a truck coming up the road…Ned Harlin himself! Replace the
investigated point of interest token with a Truck scenic item. Once all characters are in contact with it, the token and
characters will move 8” along the road towards the table edge in the section opposite where he was found. I.e. if found at
table section C he will move towards table edge D.

removed when 6 damage is done to it. Once removed the Demon may move as normal into the church area.
- Holy Cross: Once a character finds the cross, each character in the church may remove 2 terror tokens. Once the holy cross is
found, the Pumpkin Demon loses the Supernatural Trait.
- Runt, the local boy Supporting Character – Runt will it will begin the game in contact with the character with the lowest amount
of Terror tokens at the start of this scenario. He will move when that character does and stay in contact. If separated he will
move to get into base contact as soon as he can. If the character runt is attached to dies, Runt will attach to the next character
with the lowest amount of terror tokens. If Runt dies, the players lose the game.
- Ned Harlin Supporting character – Once all characters are in contact with the truck, Ned moves with his truck 8” down the road.
If Ned dies before leaving table, the players lose.

Lights: No light tokens are placed on the board until Ned Harlin is discovered. Then place a light token in contact with the front of Ned
Harlin’s truck.

road and look for Ned Harlin’s truck. Then at least one character and Runt must leave the board edge with Ned Harlin.
