of Tepozán we invite you to envision you are at
home with us, enjoying the purity of the spirit
amongst the agave fields from which it comes.

Please enjoy this gift with celebration,

reflection, and salute for health, prosperity
and your accomplishments, as we do here.

We cheers to you.

Don Carlos,
Farmer and Master Distiller
Our Difference
For the last 10 years, Tepozán has been Jalisco’s
best kept secret.

It is one of the few tequilas in the world that is fully

grown, distilled, and bottled at the source. Truly
farm to glass.

It brings us joy to share with you a tequila that

is handcrafted with certifiable purity, guaranteeing
no additives of any kind are ever used at any stage.

A sipping grade tequila produced to the

highest standards.
Our Story
Over 25 years ago, after a dedicated and purposeful
expedition —using a simple divining rod—
we discovered a volcanic-filtered natural mineral spring
405 meters underground.

This spring has served as a special ingredient

to the distillation process of our tequila - which contains
only water, agave, and naturally occurring yeast from
nearby fruit bearing trees.

Our master distiller, Don Carlos, ensures that only

highest grade blue agave is grown and harvested solely
using sustainable and organic practices.
The Hand and the Butterfly
The Tepozán tree of Mexico attracts and provides safety
to an abundance of butterflies. It represents a sign of
goodwill and prosperity.

According to Nahuatl legend, if a butterfly lands on your

hand, make a wish. Once released, she will fly to see
Xochiquetzal, the goddess of joy and flowers, who will
make your wish come true.

Tepozán is the manifestation of our distiller’s greatest

wish. And so, in this spirit, we wish upon you abundance
and goodwill.
What are Additives?
Most tequilas use additives.
Additives are generally used to change the aroma,
flavor, color, mouthfeel, intensity or sweetness of
tequilas.

Permitted additives include:

1) Glycerin (for mouthfeel)

2) Oak extracts

3) Caramel coloring

4) Sugar-based syrup
(like Vanilla)

These ingredients never appear on the label.

Why Additive Free?
Additive Free means not containing any chemicals.
There are tequilas that go beyond subtle rectification
and instead rely on the use of additives to build their
entire flavor profile.

Only additive free tequila is 100% Tequila.

The only ingredients are agave, water and some
fermenter (e.g. naturally-occurring airborne yeast
from fruit trees). Meanwhile, ‘Tequila’ usually has
all that plus some substitute for agave sugar that is
accepted by the CRT.
