SYLLABUS OF IDC IN

Botany Sem 1, 2 & 3 Integrative palynology deals with the study of pollens and their importance in human lives. Morphological
and physiological characteristics of pollen will be discussed. Significance of pollen characteristics in
(same syllabus) pollination, apiculture, reconstruction of paleo vegetation, human health and forensic science will be
covered. Recent trends in pollen biotechnology consist of strategies to overcome social and environmental
problems such as food security and gene pollution. Practical syllabus includes study of pollen morphology
and viability. Experiments on application of palynology involving allergens, honey samples and sediments
will be performed.

relativity (No mathematical derivation beyond simple algebra and qualitative ideas only)
Women's Studies Sem 1, 2 & 3 Understanding the Basic Concepts of Women's Studies, concepts of Women's Studies, Schools of
(same syllabus) Feminism, Domestic violence, women's education, law, empowerment, and workplace.
