Iszebille Steenbeeke has a Compensation Trust held by the NSW Trustee and Guardian Service and would like to
extract a total of $4153 to pay for such expenses.
Iszebille's laptop battery had recently reported it need replacing and we have discovered that Toshiba no longer
makes the battery required for replacement and thus the 3 year old computer itself must be replaced. She is still in
possession of a 6 year old Nokia 6300 handset that has been gradually falling apart more and more over the past 2
years and the battery of which has swollen irreparably and must be recharged every night so as to prevent a loss of
contact between herself and her family. Photographs of the phone's degradation can be provided if necessary.
It has been established that her laptop and phone could be replaced substantially and better by the purchase of a new
smart phone for use of applications such as GPS and internet access to 131 500 for public transport, a portable tablet
for school documentation when at the library, and a desktop computer of significant program capability (such as
Adobe Photoshop as it is problematic on her laptop) and so as to avoid laptop battery issues in the future. A monitor,
speakers, and a new keyboard and mouse set are also required for this set up.
Iszebille has also acquired a quote for a new bicycle and accessories (helmet and bike rack carrier) to aid in progressive
physical activity which has been scientifically proven to reduce stress and depression levels as well as period pain. She
has also taken interest in getting jogging shoes with arch support inner soles for when it is unsuitable weather in
which to cycle or for when she is annoyed and requires a jog around the block to calm down, something which does
occasionally happen.
Iszebille's room is currently quite a bit problematic with her lack of wardrobe or anywhere properly organised to put
her clothes and she also lacks a desk and organisation for her school work that is not in the family room. We have
found an Ikea wardrobe that suits her needs perfectly, an Ikea cabinet that would fit where she needs it to go, and she
has found a cheap and easy desk solution of a moderately deep wood panel supported on heavy duty brackets which
is able to support her computer choice. She will also require finances for underwear and has found bras and bottoms
listed in the table following this page listing and minor detailing the products requested and their costs.
Iszebille did look around and come up with the lowest prices for the products she needs and from physical stores to
which we can go and purchase them instead of running risks of shipping issues (excepting the computer hardware).
