B. CLASS POLICY
Prompt and regular attendance of learners are required. Total unexcused absences shall not exceed
twenty (20) percent of the maximum number of school days required per course per Semester. A
semester has a total of 18 weeks—16 weeks are intended for lessons and task completions, and the
remaining 2 weeks are intended for co-curricular activities..

MISSED ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTS


Learners who failed to take the academic requirement during the scheduled date can be given special
considerations provided that he/she has a valid reason. For health reason, he/she should provide the
faculty with the medical certificate signed by the attending Physician. Other reasons shall be assessed
first by the faculty to determine its validity.
ACADEMIC DISHONESTY
Academic dishonesty includes acts such as cheating during examinations or plagiarism in connection
with any academic work. Such acts are considered major offenses and will be dealt with according to
the University’s Student Norms of Conduct.
DROPPING
Dropping must be made official by accomplishing a dropping form and submitting it to the Registrar’s
Office before the second half of the term. Learners who officially drop out of class shall be marked
“Dropped” whether he/she take the first quarter academic requirements or not and irrespective of their
initial grades. A learner who unofficially drops out of class shall be given a mark of 60 by the teacher.

C. OTHER COURSE POLICIES AND REQUIREMENTS
The course is composed of 4 Written Works, 4 Performance Tasks, 1 Teacher’s Evaluation, 1 Quarterly
Assessment each quarter. The Written Works comprise of quizzes, formative assessments, essays,
writing activities, and worksheets. Activities are usually done before/after the topic is discussed,
otherwise the activity is confirmatory in purpose. Performance Tasks may be done individually or by
group as the teacher see it fits.

Utilization of Google Classroom


The Learning Management System to be utilized is Google Classroom that is accessed through the G-
Suite account. The Classroom will be composed of 14 topics with learning materials.
Learners are expected to check the classroom from time to time for announcements, materials, activities,
and tasks to keep them updated and be able to meet all the course requirements. Learners shall use their
GSuite accounts when submitting the requirements and during synchronous meetings.

Students shall observe the following while on synchronous discussion:


1. Be punctual. Being on time or ahead of time is showing your commitments and respect to
others.
2. Choose your words carefully. Avoid sarcasm and humor as you can be misinterpreted easily.
3. Report offensive behavior directly to the subject teacher via e-mail or online consultation.
The offensive behavior will be investigated and cleared up by the adviser.
4. Stay on the topic. Chat box shall not be used for idle conversations, jokes, or other non-class
related discussions.
5. Keep your microphone muted. Unmute microphone when you want to speak.
6. Use the hand raise button or ask permission to speak. Use these facilities if there is a question
or clarification related to the topic.
7. Turning on your cameras. It is highly encouraged for more active learning engagement.
8. Maximum participation is highly encouraged and expected. The student's level of
participation in the class activities and discussion is considered in giving the Teacher's
Evaluation.
9. Maintain high academic integrity. In tasks where you are required to attach a draft of
solutions, do not forget to sign on it as proof of ownership.
10. Dress and be groomed respectfully and appropriately.
11. Individual online consultation could be done. If necessary, considering the teacher’s
academic affairs and availability, do not hesitate to communicate with your teacher.
12. Be respectful and courteous all the time.
13. Stay seated and stay preset.
