When I was young, I often disregarded the need for faith, and viewed it as one of the least

important need for humans. In the first lamppost the Lasallian core value I manifested was the spirit of
faith and zeal of service. It was when I was transferred into a school that strictly followed Christian
values, had Sunday school and had a chapel time every week, in addition to the Christian Education
subject. Every week, I would be very adamant to go, but as it was a requirement, I had to go. Listening to
the pastor every week slowly changed my mind regarding my way of thinking and faith. From then, I
started looking more into it, and I discovered that there was more to it. I realized that we need faith in
our lives, and that faith was to the one and only God. I started to see everything in a different light, and
tried to follow the commands of God.

Aside from that, I also tried helping to others, because my faith made me realize that I should
help the unfortunate, so I decided to join the Community Service Club in our school so that I can help
out people in our community. The Lasallian core values I experienced and manifested can help me
develop myself in nurturing relationship with others. For example, these Lasallian core values can help
me become an effective and able member of society, a member that does not only take, but also gives
and helps others. Aside from this, my faith can guide me on how to act and compose myself with others,
which could be very beneficial in nurturing relationship with others.
