I. Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:
1. Define the term “assessment” and;
2. Explain its importance to students, teacher and in education
3. Create or design a sample summative assessment (e.g., quiz or short test) for a
specific topics
III. Background Knowledge: According to what we read in this book, the lesson is
about understanding how to gather information about what students know and can do,
using various methods like tests, quizzes, and projects. It helps teachers understand
how well students grasp the material and where they might need help. It also involves
using different methods like tests, assignments, to gather information and make sure
teaching is effective. The goal in this lesson is to help the student and learn and
succeed.
