ASSISTANCE FOR NKOSINGIPHILE VILANE

I hereby confirm that Ms. Nkosingiphile Vilane is a 2nd year student (ID No.: 147864) in
our MSc in Midwifery programme. She is currently at proposal development stage for her
thesis titled, Factors associated with stillbirths and barriers faced by women with
stillbirths during the COVID-19 pandemic in four major hospitals in Eswatini: A
mixed-method study. Part of the proposal development process needs her to contextualize
her research problem to Eswatini, hence she needs to do a quick desk review as part of
her literature review. She also needs to ascertain if she will have enough cases (i.e.,
number of stillbirths during the pandemic) for the quantitative component of her study so
that she can confirm the feasibility of the proposed project. We therefore request your
office to assist her with soft and/or hard copy reports or documents with local statistics on
stillbirths during the pandemic which can assist her as she writes her background and
literature review sections.
