1.1 WARRANTY

installedand rnaintainedproperlyand operatedwithinthe ratingand
sold.

The epicyclicdrive unit is a singlestage,doublereduction, compound


geared,planetaryarrangement. lnput is througha doublehelicalinput

5.1 FORSHIPPING
PREPARATION

CAUTION

Use specialcare to get equal lift on each chain or slingwhen


liftingto avoidpossibility
of distortinghousing.

When handlingor transporting the gear unit, care must bretakento avoid
supportingor liftingin a mannerthat placesexcessivestresson partsthat
are not designedto supportthe unit'sweight.When a gear unit is resting
on the floorit shouldalwaysbe in a normalup-rightpositionwiththe weight
restingon roller pads. A unit should be lifted using onrlythe eye bolts
providedfor this purpose.Slings should be used to distributethe load
evenlybetweenthe liftingeyes. Neverattemptto lift a gear unit by lighter
eyeboltsfixed into covers,or lighterhousingsections.Use only the lifting
meansprovided.

6.1 INITIALSTORAGE

The gear unit iS factorycleaned,preserved, and packagedfor short-term


storage.lt is recommended thatstoragebe indoorsand preferably
in a dry
area having relativelyconstanttemperature. When outdoorstorageis
unavoidable, the gear unit shouldbe raisedoff the groundon skidsand
shouldbe coveredwitha tarpaulin, protective
or an equivalent covering. lt
is alsorecommended thatan overhead coverbe placedoverequipment to
preventdirectsUnlight or rainfromreaching equipment.
