My submission is a collage of champions from the game League of Legends, developed

by Riot Games. While the game itself is certainly worthy of high praise, the lore and background
between each of the characters and regions is truly remarkable.
One of the many conflicts that occur in the League of Legends universe is the battle
between the Shadow Isles and the Sentinels of Light. Viego, the Ruined King, is heartbroken
when his wife dies, and seeks out the power of the Shadow Isles to revive her. There, he falls
into a slumber for hundreds of years before being awakened by Thresh. His fervor for the
search intensifies, and he unleashes Harrowings, catastrophic hordes of undead from the
Shadow Isles, across the land. The Sentinels of Light must band together and attempt to stop
him before it's too late.
In my collage, I chose to depict this conflict, drawing inspiration from this Demon Slayer
poster. The main antagonist, Viego, is placed at the top, looking out past the Sentinels. The
Sentinels are displayed as well. Lucian, who is placed at the centre, is the champion with the
greatest vendetta against Viego, and his wife Senna, also a Sentinel, is just over his shoulder.
Rengar, Akshan and Vayne (from left to right) are three other members of the Sentinels. At the
bottom, I chose to place champions that hail from the Shadow Isles, listed from left to right in the
table below. Finally, I used the Demon Slayer Logo, replacing the original text. Mist Slayer is a
play on the show’s name, as the Mist is an easily recognisable identifier for the Shadow Isles.
“Light should teach us not to fear the Dark'' is one of Senna’s voicelines, which is fitting for the
collage as well as inspirational. It can be taken for its face value, meaning that the Sentinels
should prove that the Shadow Isles are not to be feared; it can also be interpreted as a
metaphor on how the good parts of life are more important than the bad parts, and thus show
that there’s nothing to fear.
