Aspiration in rehabilitation patients: Videofluoroscopy vs bedside clinical assessment, APMR,69.637-40, ‘The Evaluation and Management of Dysphagia Ss Evaluation and Management of Dysphagia-Perspectives of a Speech and Language Pathologist Hsin-I Wang Abstract Swallowing disorder is one of the most important issues in geriatrics. It is estimated that over 30% to 40% resisdents in nursing homes suffer from swallowing disorder. Therefore, we should pay more attention to swallowing physiological mechanism, and aggressively evaluate their swallowing function. In addition to some clinic studies and diagnostic procedures of this problem in this article , the management of swallowing disorder is introduced in detail . Hopefully all the suffered patients will benefit from the team work of the associated medical members.
