- Cách dùng tính từ đuôi -ing và -ed:


- Tính từ đuô i ing: dù ng để miêu tả về tính chấ t, đặ c trưng củ a ngườ i, sự vậ t,
hiện tượ ng. 
Ví dụ :
The film is very interesting. Lú c nà y, tính từ interesting dù ng để diễn tả tính
chấ t củ a bộ phim.
- Tính từ đuô i ed: dù ng để diễn tả cả m xú c hoặ c nhậ n xét củ a ngườ i hoặ c vậ t về
mộ t sự vậ t, hiện tượ ng hay sự việc nà o đó . 
Ví dụ : 
I’m interested in the film. Lú c nà y, tính từ interested diễn tả cả m xú c củ a chủ
ngữ đố i vớ i bộ phim.
1. Đối với tính từ đuôi ing
- Tính từ ở dạ ng V-ing đượ c sử dụ ng khi danh từ mà nó bổ nghĩa đó ng vai trò
thự c hiện hà nh độ ng hoặ c chịu trá ch nhiệm về hà nh độ ng đang đượ c nhắ c đến.
Độ ng từ trong câ u thườ ng khô ng đi kèm tâ n ngữ và đượ c dù ng ở thì tiếp diễn. 
- Diễn tả bả n chấ t hoặ c tính chấ t củ a sự việc, hiện tượ ng…
Ví dụ :
The movie is thrilling.
The meeting was boring. 
I find French interesting/ fascinating.

Tính từ đuô i ed đượ c sử dụ ng khi danh từ mà nó bổ nghĩa là đố i tượ ng chịu sự
tá c độ ng củ a hà nh độ ng đang đượ c nhắ c đến. Tứ c là nó diễn tả : ai đó đang cả m
thấ y thế nà o về mộ t sự việc/ hiện tượ ng. 
Ví dụ :
Are you interested in buying a house?
Everyone was surprised that he passed the interview.
