SOCI/CRIM 1F90 Introduction to Sociology

Online Quizzes (on Sakai) – Schedule/Instructions for the Winter

The table below provides the schedule for the quizzes for the Winter Term. Note that the first
three quizzes will cover three topics each. Quiz four will cover the last two topics. All quizzes
will have 10 questions (multiple choice, fill-in-the-blanks, or matching) for each topic. Thus,
quizzes one, two, and three will have 30 questions. Quiz four will have 20 questions.

1. Opens Jan 29 at 8:00 AM and closes Weeks 1 through 3: Sexualities; Families; and
Feb 1 at 4:30 pm. Health, Aging and Disabilities.
2. Opens Feb 26 at 8:00 AM and closes Weeks 4 through 6: Religion; Education;
Mar 1 at 4:30 PM. Media
3. Opens Mar 19 at 8:00 AM and closes Weeks 7 through 9: Work and Political
Mar 22 at 4:30 PM. Economy; Globalisation; Society and the
Natural Environment
4. Opens April 9 at 8:00 AM and closes Weeks 10 and 11: Crime, Law and
April 12 at 4:30 PM. Regulation; Social Change and Collective
Bahaviour
As stated on the syllabus, quizzes will open at 8:00 AM of the Friday of the week and close the
following Monday at 4:30 PM.

Unless, you have an approved academic accommodation, you will have one hour to complete
quizzes one, two, and three. You will have 40 minutes to complete quiz four. For students with
approved academic accommodations, the length of the quizzes will be altered as per the
approved accommodation. No assessment will be allowed after the system closes, unless
permission is granted (see late submissions policy and special accommodations on syllabus).
Once you begin the quiz, you cannot cycle back to previous questions.
