LANGUAGE COURSE EXEMPTIONS

Students may be exempted from language courses if they can prove a sufficient level in the
respective language (cf. table below).
Exempted students will receive the ECTS grade “Equivalence” for each exempted language
and the equivalent number of ECTS credits.

In order to be exempted from the respective language course at least one of

the following criteria must be met:
 Toefl iBT - 25 in each section: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking
 Toeic: not applicable
 Ielts - 7 in each section: Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking or 190 points on the
English Cambridge English Scale in any other Cambridge exam
 High school diploma in an English-speaking country (Studies in English)
 University degree in an English-speaking country (Studies in English)
 20/20 in oral entry examination
 DALF C1 (Minimum 75/100) or DALF C2
 TEF 780
 TCF 570
French
 Baccalauréat français
 University degree in a French-speaking country (Studies in French)
 20/20 in oral entry examination
 WiDaF (Minimum 270 in each section)
 Goethe Zertifikat C1 (Minimum 75/100) or C2
