Conditioning Cools the World

Cup. But Is It Sustainable?
Summary:
With the deterioration of global climate change, the climate risks
dwarf the benefit of the stadium air-conditioning. Most people
wonder how Qatar, a country that is hot and also the host of the 2022
World Cup, can address the stadium temperature problem. The
government built an air-conditioned outdoor stadium which seemed
prospective for addressing the problem, however, it is
environmentally unsustainable. Although it was an awesome thought
to build an air-conditioned stadium to tackle the hot temperature
problem, the electric grid and circuits still produce chemical
elements that pose a threat to global warming.
Response:
Global warming is constantly destroying our life. It causes a
high temperature and climate anomaly which decrease our quality of
life. Qatar is the host of the World Cup taking place this year. I
admire their effort that tries to be devoted to helping the
deterioration of climate change. But there is still a long way to go to
find a better alternative. Just as the researchers say, “Although the
idea of air-conditioned stadium decreases the effect that climate
change causes, it is still good enough.
