UNI Dorm System Revision

1. Admin Profile image does not change:

After selecting an image and clicking the "Save" button, the image does not update or

change as expected.

2. Add a new Blog and Add a new Dorm pages design requires small changes:
All elements here should be of the same size to look appealing. Same bellow.
3. Home and About pages display same things!
Clicking on the "About" section redirects to the "Home" page, which displays the content

intended for the "About" section. Essentially, both the "Home" and "About" pages have

identical content.

4. Sing in page does not work:

When attempting to sign in, clicking on the "Sign In" button does not initiate the sign-in

process. The button appears unresponsive and fails to register the click.
5. Bug #2: Testimonials not hidden

Description: The testimonials section is visible on the website even though it should
be hidden. Steps to Reproduce:
1. Visit the website.

2. Navigate to the page containing the testimonials section.

3. Observe that the testimonials are visible.

6. FAQs page design should be more appealing:


It can be something like the following:
 Clear and Organized Layout: Please ensure that the FAQs page has a clean and

organized layout that allows users to easily navigate through the content. It should

be divided into categories or sections for better readability.

 Search Functionality: Incorporate a search bar on the FAQs page to enable users to

quickly find specific questions or keywords they are looking for.

 Accordion or Expandable Sections: Implement an accordion or expandable sections

feature that allows users to expand or collapse each question. This will make it

easier for them to navigate through the FAQs.

 Visual Elements: Consider incorporating relevant visual elements, such as icons or

images, to enhance the visual appeal and user engagement. For example, using a

question mark icon next to each question would help users identify frequently

asked questions.

 Contact Information: Make sure to include contact information, such as email,

phone number, or a dedicated support form, so that users can easily reach out for

further assistance or ask questions not covered in the FAQs.

 Mobile-Friendly Design: Optimize the FAQs page for mobile devices, as a significant

portion of our users access the dorm system from their smartphones or tablets. A

responsive design is essential for a seamless mobile experience.


7. Bug #6: Misplacement of "Featured Blogs" section under the Main page

Description: The "Featured Blogs" section is currently not positioned correctly on


the Main page. It should be moved below the Page heading to ensure better
visibility and hierarchy.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Visit the Main page of the website.

2. Observe the current position of the "Featured Blogs" section.


8. Alignment of the page and the review elements are not properly displayed:

As you can see here, the review box is bigger than the blog itself. Same thing for “All

reviews Part”:

Additionally, it is worth noting that the footer section appears to be smaller


in size compared to the rest of the page. Ideally, the footer section should
have the same size and visual consistency as the other sections on the page.

9. Bug #9: Main page requires re-design with suggested icon images

Description: The main page of the website needs to be re-designed, incorporating new icon
images sourced from the provided links to enhance the visual appeal and user experience.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Access the current main page of the website.

2. Evaluate the existing design and icon images used.

3. Review the provided icon image sources:

4. Redesign the main page, replacing the existing icons with the provided
icon images from the respective sources.
5. Ensure that the new icon images are visually appealing and appropriately integrated into
the design

These icons where asked by user in the previous page, yet cannot be seen anywhere in the

system
10. The sign-up page is not working properly, as the "sign up" button is unresponsive and does

not initiate the sign-up process. It neither registers the click nor provides any error

message.

11. Bug #12: Incorrect redirection for normal users after signing in (redirected to profile instead of
the blog page)
Description: When signing in as a normal user, the website is redirecting users to the
profile page instead of the designated blog page. This redirection issue needs to be
addressed to ensure a seamless user experience.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Log in to the website as a normal user using valid credentials.

2. Submit the login form.


3. Observe the page that the user is redirected to after successful sign-in.

Note: Please note that this bug refers to the incorrect redirection of normal users
to the profile page instead of the designated blog page upon signing in.

The image needs to be centered correctly, and the text should be aligned properly. The

"reviews" box should be smaller than the blog section. Furthermore, the white dot

should be positioned beneath the "Blogs" section, not under sign-in . Here is an example

from another website:


13. Bug #26: Lack of features in the review section (reply button, username, profile pic)

Description: The review section lacks essential features such as a reply button, displaying the
username, and showing the reviewer's profile picture. These features enhance engagement
and facilitate better communication.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Navigate to the review section of the website.

2. Observe the available options or features for each review.

3. Notice the absence of a reply button, username, and profile picture.


14. Bug #28: Resetting password not working

Description: The functionality to reset the password for user accounts is not
functioning as expected or is not available.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Visit the password reset page or click on the "Forgot Password" link.

2. Follow the steps to reset the password.

3. Observe if the password reset is successful or if any errors occur.

15. Bug #30: Incorrect error message when trying to sign up with the same email address

Description: When a user attempts to sign up with an email address that is already
registered in the system, the error message displayed is not accurate or does not inform
the user about the issue.
Steps to Reproduce:

1. Go to the sign-up page of the website.

2. Enter an email address that is already associated with an existing account.


3. Submit the sign-up form and observe the error message that appears.

As shown above The current page layout is not aligned as desired, you can see the error

message appears in the top right corner, which is not an appropriate placement for it and it

is very small, cannot be read.

16. Mobile Bugs:


Requires spacing
Trying to add a profile image, it mentions updated successfully but no image uploads.
Icons! It should be password icon.. same in the signup page.
Should be redesigned .

The sign-in and sign-up pages are currently experiencing functionality issues, which require
attention to ensure a smooth user experience. Additionally, the design of the website should
be more compatible and responsive, allowing it to remain unaffected when zooming in or
out, particularly when accessed from a laptop.
17. Blogs editing is so simple, they require more editing functionalities like uploading a

document or editing the texts functionalities (Fonts, paragraphs, inserting) like this one

here:

18. The website is not responsive to other devices.

19. Review section should be more appealing and modern, the one provided is very simple.

Can be something like the following image.


20. Massage for “Invalid password” appears at the top corner which is not user friendly,

such massage needs to be clear to the user:

21. When entering an invalid email format, the massage “User not found” appears instead

of “Wrong email format”


Additionally, when trying to sign up with a wrong email format, it did signed us in??
22. When resetting the password, although email is written an error massage appears saying

that “Enter your email”
