Clinic Observation Hours

COMPETENCIES COVERED:
Collaborator:
 Use the appropriate patient/client care pathway(s) to facilitate interprofessional medical
care.
 Contribute as a valuable team member on an athletic therapy staff.
 Work collaboratively with organization administrators and staff members regarding the
operation of athletic therapy programs and services.

 Detect, interpret, and respond appropriately to the patient’s verbal and non-verbal cues

development plan that promotes lifelong learning.

FORMAT:
Complete a minimum of 3 observational hours at the AET Clinic. Please see D2L with
instructions on how to sign up for hours. Based on these hours, complete a 1 page reflection
(~350words) on your experience. Consider the following questions in your reflection:
1. Summarize your clinic experience. What did you observe?
2. What was your biggest take away from your experience?
3. Did you observe a new initial assessment or a re-assessment? What important
information did you learn from this? How will this influence your experience in
the field/in your current assessment course?
4. What do you feel you need to do in order to feel confident in beginning clinical
placement next year? Can you set goals to achieve this?
