RECOMMENDATIONS
1. GOVERNANCE: Develop an Enabling & Inclusive OS Governance Framework that guides
OS Governance
2. FUNDING & INVESTMENT: Promote multi-stakeholders collaboration and contribution for
provision of OS funding to make the fund accessible for OS cause.
3. TECHNOLOGY & INFRASTRUCTURE: Establish a sustainable model for enabling OS
technology and infrastructure to be identifiable, discoverable, accessible and shared
amongst the stakeholders.
4. CO-OPERATION & COLLABORATION: Cooperation in OS requires a participatory/co-
creation approach (from partnership design → implementation → monitor → evaluation
→ reporting) that leads to transparency and integrity amongst the participating members.
5. CAPACITY BUILDING: A sustainable Capacity Building for OS (CB4OS) Learning and
Training Modules to create, enhance and develop the capacity of different OS actors must
be developed through a co-creation (or co-designed) approach.
6. TRADITIONAL KNOWLEDGE: Incorporate diversity and inclusiveness (the core value of
OS) of knowledge and knowledge systems in every aspect of Open Science
implementation.
WAY FORWARD
OPEN SCIENCE POLICY
IMPLEMENTATION (OSPI)
FRAMEWORK
WAY FORWARD

• Open Science implementation would succeed with a combination of

both approaches, which may be called as Hybrid approach or Top
Down - Bottom Up approach or Centralised Decentralised approach
where Cooperation and Collaboration is initiated through formal
structural establishments at institutional, national and regional levels,
which mobilises the CoPs (practitioners) at each level.
• Out-the-box approach: A HYBRID & EQUITABLE Approach
• HYBRID: Integrate
• Top-Down & Bottom-Up
• Centralised & Decentralised
• Co-create and co-design Capacity Building
• OS Actors: Multi stakeholders
• Ensure Diversity and Inclusivity for Traditional Knowledge
