Operative Instructions for periodical maintenance of autoclave
«service 1000 / service 2000 cycles»
ATTENTION: follow the «SERVICE FLOWCHART»
1, CHECK THE SAFETY VALVE
Check and test the safety valve by following the instructions in the “maintenance and
use” manual supplied with autoclave documents for and related to the safety valve.
2. CHECK THE PIN
Check the pin to understand if it must be changed. See the following pictures:
2.4: the pin is damaged
Pin with deformations (see the red
circles and the arrows):
THIS PIN MUST BE CHANGED
2.2 : regular pin
Pin with no deformations, safe and
regular.
This pin is good: no change required.
IMPORTANT:
NO!
The Door Pin MUST NEVER be filed or
amended in any way!!!
Page 13. CHECK THE DOOR PLATE
3.1 The door plate is GOOD (no change required) in the following instances:
3.1.1 When the door plate is cast, like in the picture.
Internal view External view
3.1.2 When the door plate is constructed of an aluminum plate and the bush is
exactly the same as outlined below.
Internal view External view
al
1. The bush is perfectly
in line with the door
plate.
2. There is nothing
between the bush and
the door plate.
3.2 The door plate MUST BE
CHANGED in all other situations.
NOTE: in case, also the filling connector
must be changed (the original will be too
long).
Page 24. CHANGE THE PIN
4.1 — Unscrew the 4 screws shown in the picture
~ New holder (TYPE:
. Universal spare
4.2 — unscrew the screw
indicated in the picture.
Note: the Universal
spare part (TYPE-B) can
replace the TYPE-A
holder.
4.3 —replace the pin. Note: all of three pieces shown in the picture must be replaced
ATTENTION:
Check the presence of the
~ pin groove in the new pin. —_,
- bush When changing the pin, it will
- holder be mandatory to re-calibrate
the microswitches.
4.4 — Tighten nut “B” and screw “A” ensuring there is still slight movement of the pin,
which will enable self-centering of the pin during closing phase of the door.
Page 35. DISMOUNTING OF THE MICROSWITCH PLATE
- Unplug the electrical connections "A"
and unscrew the screws "B".
- Remove the microswitch plate.
6, CHECK THE MOTOR DOOR CLOSURE
Identify the closure group, as shown in the following pictures. Determine if itis a
cast closure system or a welded frame construction.
=
If the door pin requires changing on a
cast closure system, fit the new door
pin (degreasing and adjustment of the
microswitches must be done following
the flowchart indication)
If the door pin requires changing of a
fabricated closure group system, then
THE ENTIRE ASSEMBLY MUST BE
REPLACED
Page 47. CHANGE MOTOR CLOSURE GROUP
7.1 —To easly reach the motor closure assembly.
7.2 — Viewed from the bottom:
Unscrew the locknuts “C” and remove the
two bolts “B”.
7.3 — Viewed from the top:
Remove the bolts “B”.
7.4 — Remove the closure system and replace with the cast design version.
Place the new motor closure group in the same position, then replace the bolts “B”
and tighten the locknuts “C”.
Reconnect the motor connection on the power board.
Page 58. DEGREASING and TESTING OF THE MOTOR CLOSURE SYSTEM
ATTENTION:
THE DEGREASING OPERATION IS VERY IMPORTANT.
FOR THE PERFECT MAINTENANCE OF THE MOTOR,
CLOSURE SYSTEM. THE MANUFACTURER SUGGESTS
THE FOLLOWING PRODUCTS FOR A PROPER,
MAINTENANCE:
- or SVITOL Arexons, cod.4104
- or WD-40 Multi Use, cod. NSN8030-01-418-9007
Note: the use of the SPOUT is required.
IN ANY CASE DON’T USE
LUBRICANTS AND/OR HIGH TEMPERATURE OILS !

8.3 - Viewed from the inside:
Insert the spout in the buttonhole and Spray on the line-bearing and the
spray the REAR of the internal thread roller-bearing
NOTE:
for each degreasing points, spray the product for at least 2 sec. continuously

8.4 — Viewed from front | 8.5 — Viewed fron the front:
Insert the spout into the housing and _nsert the spout, as far as possible, and
spray on the 3 spheres. spray on the rear of the locking pin housing.
8.6 — Activate the motor. Turn on the autoclave and wait for the “OPEN the DOOR"
message to disappear from the screen. Leave the door open and press the external
microswitch.
NOTE:
If the motor doesn’t start,
repeat the operation by also
pressing the DOOR button
(this instruction is for old
models of autoclaves).

8.7 — repeat the degreasing process once again, following the instruction from
8.1 to 8.6.
At the end of that process, leave the motor in OPEN position (picture on the right).
Page 79. CHANGE THE BLUE DOOR GASKET

9.8 — It is normal to have a small
movement in the front plate.
9.9 —- Remember to regulate
hinges when running the Vacuum
Test.
9.10 — Replace the plastic cover and check the correct closure of the motorized door.
Page 910. FITTING, SETTING AND TESTING OF MICROSWITCHES
10.1 - Mount the microswitch plate so that the segment "A" is at a tangent to the
curve "B" of the slot, as shown in the picture. Use the screws "C" to secure the plate.
10.2 — Plug the electrical connections
10.3 — Turn on the autoclave and close the
door. When the door is closed, the screen will
display the “door locked” icon.
BE SURE THE DOOR IS CORRECTLY
CLOSED
Page 10 CONTINUE...10.4 — unscrew the, nut, shown in the picture (1), the microswitch-button (2) slides
automatically inwards to the autoclave (3). As soon as the “DOOR LOCKED” icon
(4) disappears, stop unscrewing the nut.
10.5 — As soon the “DOOR LOCKED"|
icon disappears, mark a reference on
the nut.
Page 11 CONTINUE...10.6 — by using the reference mark,
screw the nut for 2 complete turns
clockwise (720°).
10.7 — Lock the rear nut to set the
position
10.8 — check the new position of the microswitch, activating the motorized system.
Repeat 10 times, closing and opening the motorized door.

The arrows (or the numbers) MUST match the previous solenoid valves, even if
the models supplied are not the same. They are interchangeable.
The pictures above are for sample, only.
13.3 — For each solenoid valve:
- unscrew the 2 connections and clean the male threads
before reusing the connections;
- use a PTFE tape to avoid any leaks form the threads
Page 1514. CHANGE WATER FILTERS
14.1 — Replace the filter inside the autoclave.

Clean all outer sourfaces and remove any stains or scratches if possible
Check the steam generator (change if connection inside of the chamber is white)
Check all internal connections for signs of any leakage (rebuild connection if required)
Check the operation of the flow switches of the clean and used water tanks
Clean the inside of the chamber (only use water and sponge)
Check the tray holder for damage and corrosion (do no clean trays)
Check the pipe work and wiring for any signs of damage or wear
