Abstract
Organic inorganic perovskite have received considerable attention due to their interesting
properties such as optical, electronic, magnetic, thermal, easy structural tenability and
currently the unprecedentedly rapid rise in energy conversion efficiency seen in photovoltaic
devices based on based on PbI3CH3NH3. Recently, perovskite layered system based on
cooper metal has intensively been investigated. The polycrystalline powder of [NH3-(CH2)8-
NH3]2CuCl4 compound was synthesized by slow evaporation voice at room temperature.

The analysis by powder X-ray diffraction XRD indicates the formation of layered perovskite
structure. The Electron paramagnetic resonance EPR at room temperature shows a resonance
signal at g = 2.175 has been attributed to Cu2+ anion centers in an octahedral symmetry with
the presence of Jan teller effect distortion. The UV‐visible spectroscopy measurement was
performed and exhibits large band due to photo-induced exciton formed in the two-
dimensional inorganic layers sandwiched between organic layers.
