Chapter I
Introduction
Sierra Leone is a country located in the African western coast, it counts with
many natural resources, between them diamonds, gold, platinum, iron, and
other minerals. Despite the value of the diamonds, the income of Sierra Leone´s
is extremely low. Its situation is very alarming, many people have died, and all
of this is because of a corrupt government that had taken them to civil war.
In spite of its wealth Sierra Leone is still a poor country where war has killed
thousands of people bringing nothing but poverty, corruption and misfortune to
the citizens of this nation.

Final Exam
You need to write your personal reflection regarding the research we have
been developing along this term. You need to express the learning you have
got based on the research experience as well as how your perspective
about this topic has changed along the term. Finally, it is necessary to
compare the main problems as well as their reasons with our country
situation analyzing their similarities and differences.
Despite being a country full of natural resources, Sierra Leone is one of the
poorest countries around the world, its corruption is to high that it had let a civil
war. Corruption is one of the biggest problems that the world has, it involves
many countries and brings hopeless to citizens. In my opinion Sierra Leone´s
situation is terrible, corruption has been affecting citizens since 1990, they had
tried to make a solution, but it led them to a civil war. Citizens had lost hope,
they are bored and tired of the situation. Fortunately, popular organizations are
helping them, they are fighting for reaching equality. Colombia’s situation can
be similar, but thanks god poverty rates are not similar to Sierra Leones one.
Corruption had also affected Colombia, hope has been lost from citizens, they
do not believe in their government. Someday a solution will come true,
corruption will be less, and citizens will have the life they were expecting for.
