DYNAMICS USING NEWTON'S LAWS OF MOTION
WHAT IS DYNAMICS? 7
Dynamics is a field of physical science and subdiscipline of mechanics that studies the motion of
materials in relation to the physical forces that influence them : force, mass, momentum and energy.
Dynamics can be subdivided into kinematies , which describe motion, without regards to its causes, in
terms of position, velocity, and acceleration; and kineties, which is concem with the effect of forces and
torques on the motion of bodies having mass.
NEWTONS LAWS OF MOTION.
‘Newton's lavs of motion are three(3) that desoribe the relationships between forces acting on a body and
its motion, and they are comerstone of classical mechanics. They were fist stated by English physicist
and mathematician Isaac newton, Newton's equation are significant because they form the basis of
classical mechanics, which is one of the most fundamental field of science. The study of how object.
‘moves or do not moves when forces apply on them is known as mechanics.
NEWTON FIRST LAW OF MOTION (LAW OF INERTIA)
Newton's first law of motion states that if a body is at rest or moving in a straight path at a
constant speed, it will remain at rest or continue to move in a straight line at a constant speed until
acted upon by a force. In classical Newtonian mechanics, there is no significant between rest and
‘uniform motion in a straight line; they can be considered the same state of motion seen by two observers,
‘one moving at the same speed as the particle and the other moving at constant velocity with respect to the
particle. The aw of inertia is the name given to this concept. It can be said that acceleration is equal to
zer0 (a=).
NOTE: object observed to slowdown are being compelled by frictional force, Friction is retarding force
that seemingly prevent or oppose motion. For the first law of motion to hold there me no or little friction.
NEWTON SECOND LAW OF MOTION
‘Newton second law od motion states that the foree imposed on a body equals the rate of time
‘change of its momentum in both magnitude and direction. the product of a body's mass and it velocity
PUMPED CONCRETE
Pumped conerete isthe concrete which is transported to heights by means of pumping using
fonctete pumps. This method is used where large quantity of concrete workis involved at greater
height, where other means of transporting is not easy to do. Concrete pumps have been known for
‘more than 50 years. In modem times, large quantities of concrete can be transported by means of
pumping through pipelines over appreciable distances, often to locations that ‘may not be easily
accessible by other means of delivery.
The system for pumping concrete essentially consists of a hopper into which the concrete is
