CYBERBULLYING

The effects of Cyberbullying have a massive impact on teenagers’ mental state. Cyberbullying
occurs in different social media and the dark web. Nowadays, teenagers spend most of their free
time in these internet-based communications. Based on the survey conducted by
AACAP(American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry), about 90% of teens ages 13-
17 have used social media. With this percentage, 38% of them have experienced cyberbullying.
It is true that cyberbullying can have serious negative effects on the mental health of teenagers.
Victims may experience a decrease in self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and even suicidal
thoughts as a result of the harassment.

decrease in self-esteem, depression, anxiety, and even suicidal thoughts as a result of the
harassment. It's essential to keep in mind that bullying is never acceptable and that both the
victim and the aggressor risk suffering terrible consequences. Combating and avoiding
bullying requires seeking out support and assistance.
