WORKSHOP CASE: ENVIRONMENTAL INCIDENT

CASE FACTS:
 An estimated 400 Liters of Diesel Oil leaked from ABC Corporation located at
Brgy. Sta. Rita Aplaya, Batangas City on September 9, 2022.
 The Roving Guard (Juan Dela Cruz – Cell # 09192223333) noticed a leak in one of
the fuel storage tanks and reported it to the Shift Charge at around 10:00 AM.
 The discharge valve of the storage tank was left open.
 Strong rain swept the spilled oil from the plant drainage and flowed into the
nearby creek.
 Plant operators and emergency response team deployed spill boom and
contained the oil spill after one (1) hour.
 Spilled oil was recovered using an oil skimmer.
 Traces of oil at the creek were treated using an oil dispersant.
 Recovered oil was stored in empty drums and stored at the hazardous waste
storage area.

Description of Incident:
The Roving Guard (Juan Dela Cruz – Cell # 09192223333) noticed a leak in one of the fuel
