2.1 Composition
Bisphenol 50 – 70%
Health Hazardous Effect : May irritation to upper respiratory tract. Skin or eye irritation on
prolonged or repeated exposure.
Inhalation : Remove the victim to the fresh air area. If rapid recovery does not occur perform
artificial respiration and obtain medical attention.
Skin Contact : Remove contaminated clothing. Wash skin immediately with plenty of water and
soap. If persistent irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.
Eye Contact : Immediately flush the eye with running water for at least 15 minutes. If persistent
irritation occurs, obtain medical attention.
Ingestion : If the patient conscious, give plenty of water to drink. Do not induce vomiting. If
rapid recovery does not occur, obtain medical attention
Fire Fighting Instruction : Shut off fuel to fire if it is possible to do so without hazard. Avoid
flushing spilled material into sewers, streams and other bodies of water.
For small outdoor fires, portable fire extinguishers maybe used.
Respiratory and eye protection are required for fire fighting personnel.
Environmental Precaution Do not contaminate the soil and surface water. Do not allow material to
enter
sewers.
Cleaning Procedure Absorb with sand or other suitable absorbent, sweep up and put it into a
container for disposal
Storage Keep in original, well closed container in well ventilated place. Keep
away from direct sunlight and other sources of heat or ignition. Do not
smoke in storage area.
Handling Do not eat, drink and smoke. Do not breathe vapor. Use local exhaust
extraction. Avoid contact with skin and eye. See section 9 for Personal Protection
Equipment.
Eye and Skin Protection : Safety glasses, uniform, apron, glove (neoprene or nitril rubber are
recommended)
Use general local exhaust extraction ventilation to meet exposure limit requirement.
Ingestion : Swallowing can result in nausea, vomiting and central nervous system
depression.
Effects of overexpose : Respiratory exposure to the solvents may lead to dizziness, headache,
vomiting and drowsiness
Exhaust without treatment may damage wastewater drainage and biological decomposability.
Waste disposal to be in accordance with the Environmental Quality (Schedule Wastes) Regulation 1989
and other Guidelines issued by the department of Environmental and Local Authorities
General Regulations do not apply to this product. Enclose MSDS while delivering.
