MAHARASHTRA STATE SKILLS UNIVERSITY Circular No. of 2023 ORDER WHEREAS the Government of Maharashtra has enacted the Maharashtra State Skills University Act, 2021 (hereinafter referred to as “the Act”) to establish and incorporate the Maharashtra State Skills University in the State Government, which has come into force w.e.f. 23" March 2021; AND WHEREAS as per Section 28 (1) of the Act, the University may establish Skill Departments or Schools as may be prescribed by the Statutes; AND WHEREAS Section 29 (1) of the Act provides that there shall be a Board of Studies for every Skill Department prescribed by the Statutes; AND WHEREAS as per Section 45 (b) of the Act, establishment and maintenance of the campuses, regional centres, skill centres, study centres, University departments, institutions, conducted colleges, institutions of higher learning, research or specialized studies and hostels, is one of the subject matters of the Statutes; AND WHEREAS the Governing Council, in its meeting held on 9" December, 2022, have approved the draft of Statute relating to University Schools, Skill Departments, Board of Studies and Courses/ Programmes of Studies;AND WHEREAS it will take some time to complete the process of framing Statutes in this regard as per Section 46 of the Act; AND WHEREAS the matter relating to University Schools, Skill Departments, Board of Studies and Courses/ Programmes of Studies, is required to be regulated by the Statute and no Statute is made in that behalf; THEREFORE, |, Prof. (Dr.) Apoorva Palkar, Vice-Chancellor of the Maharashtra State Skills University, by and under the powers vested in me under Sub-Section (8) of Section 13 of the Maharashtra State Skills University Act, 2021, hereby issue the following directives: (1) University Schools, Skill Departments, Board of Studies and Courses/ Programmes of Studies, shall be as prescribed in the Annexure to this Order; (2) This Order shali come into force with immediate effect.
