GLOBAL MEDIA CULTURE

Activity 1. WORLD of MULTIMEDIA (30 points)

1. Analyze how various latest media technology drive globalization and so explain
responsible media consumption; and compare the social impacts of different media on the
process of globalization.

The role of media, particularly electronic communications, on friendly change is

considered as vitally important in both insightful work and public conversation on
globalization. Satellite TV, the Internet, PCs, cell phones, and other media are usually
believed to be among the main powers underlying present restructuration’s of social and

media facilitate amicable contact by allowing for greater connection across vast distances
and global flexibility. Furthermore, advancement, colonialism, and globalization are three
concepts that have been used to understand and affect the world.

They are typically seen concentrating on shoulders dialogues of global sociological

inquiries, but what they indicate to each other is frequently anything but evident. Since
the fall of socialism, the concept of globalization has become one of the most hotly
debated topics. The majority of discussion about globalization acknowledges that it is a
'lopsided' process. Its properties and outcomes are not consistently felt around the world,
and there is a 'power math' of globalization in which 'certain individuals are more
accountable for than others; some start streams and development, while others don't;
some are more on the less than desirable end of it than others; some are successfully
detained by it, and there will be a lopsidedness of force when managing two countries.'
Globalization's rapid acceleration has long been linked to technological advancement and
the global market. From one point of view, there is the

GLOBALIZATION AND RELIGION

Activity 2-Essay (20 points)

Direction: Explain how globalization affects religious practices and beliefs.

1.) What is Globalization?

Globalization is defined as the network and growth of previously local products, beliefs, and
practices into universal products, beliefs, and practices, often via the use of technology.

2.) What is Religion?

Religion is a set of cultural systems, belief systems, and worldviews that establish symbols that
connect humans to spirituality and moral principles.

3.) Are Globalization and Religion interconnected?

Globalization fosters a pluralistic culture, in which religions "with overlapping but separate
ethics and agendas" interact. As a result of this, globalization highlights the reality that, because
faiths share similar principles, none of them is "right" and hence changeable.

4.) How does Globalization affect religion?

Religion and globalization have always had a tense and tumultuous relationship. Globalization
means more frequent and daily communication, and religions are growing more self-aware of
their status as world faiths.

5. Why the Globalization of Religion important?

Religions that were formerly isolated from one another can now have regular and unavoidable
