Dr. Bagamasbad,

Direct people consultation has been part of the core missions of the Office of the Board Member
Hon. Karla Monica C. Adajar-Lajara. The office firmly believes that our constituents are the
same people who can narrate their experiences and struggles that are in need of interventions
and specific solutions. Moreover, the involvement to solve these problems must come not just
from our office but with the help of other offices and agencies that can partake with us in helping
these people who are in need.

Upon our drafting the ordinance entitled Province of Laguna Mental Health Ordinance of 2023,
we have visited different agencies that concerns and combats mental health problems. We have
consulted offices such as the national office of the Department of Health, the department’s
Regional Office, and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officers.

With that, the Office of the Board Member Hon. Karla Monica C. Adajar-Lajara would like to
have a courtesy visit to your office for us to have some insightful exchange regarding this matter
and our future plans on July 3, 2023, 10:00 AM.

The benefit of this cause will redound to the people in Laguna that struggles with Mental Health
Problems that are one of the pressing concerns in the province.
