UNIFIED HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

1.0 INTRODUCTION
Unified Human Resource Management is a suite of software applications used to manage
human resources and related processes throughout the employee lifecycle. An UHRMS enables a
company to fully understand its workforce while staying compliant with labor regulations.
A UHRMS is used to perform business processes and HR functions, from managing employee
data and payroll to attendance management, performance evaluations and the monitoring of
training, as well as supporting strategic business decisions. A UHR Management System
automates a lot of the traditionally time-consuming HR administrative tasks.

1.0.1 Who uses it?


Any company with employees will have a UHR Management System in some form or another,
ranging from manual documents and spreadsheets to comprehensive cloud-based HR
Management Systems designed to handle all HR processes.
A UHR Management System is used by HR professionals, managers and employees.
 
1.1 Functions of an UHRMS
When considering which HRMS is right for your company, it’s helpful to think in terms of
functional components. Generally, modern systems cover seven areas, with varying levels of
focus.

Employee management
There’s a reason this function is often referred to as “core HR.” Delivers a central portal to
support analysis, reporting and compliance processes. It’s where you structure your workforce
into organizational units, like departments or locations; define reporting relationships between
managers and employees; and align payroll to accounting cost centers. It’s here where personal
information is recorded and maintained, and this function is the cornerstone of efforts to offer
employee self-service, maximize reporting and improve HR service delivery.

Optimization
Gleaning information from the UHRMS to develop a vision for the future workforce is a
primary selling point. It’s also the least-utilized function of a typical HRMS. The real value of
this function usually comes to the fore with a merger or acquisition, sharp economic swings in
either direction or when executives exit. Companies that take a proactive approach to optimizing
the workforce are more resilient to change, have higher retention of top talent and better
employee engagement.

Payroll
This is also a primary function of the UHRMS—calculating earnings from gross to net or net
to gross and withholding individual deductions and issuing payments can be made just as routine

as paying the rent. Payroll functions comprise benefit elections and both employee and employer
costs. Full-service payroll solutions also automate tax filing and deposits. Self-service functions
allow employees to make changes to elective deductions, direct deposit accounts and tax
withholdings and retrieve copies of earning statements without HR assistance.

UHRM management
This is where HR teams track employee development, manager evaluations and disciplinary
actions; and ensure the company is providing a healthy and safe work environment. This is also
where compensation planning, performance management, learning and incident recording
functions reside. HR can develop timesheet structures, overtime rules, time-off policies and
approval chains in a way that maximizes automation, control and efficiency. The employee
performance review process, complete with goal management, is set up in this function as well.

The main objective of this paper is to reduce the effort of administrator to keep the daily events such as
payroll,
employee performance, and employees’ details. It consists of six modules.

Employee Details module is used to maintain the employees’ details such as
adding new employee,

modifying the existing employee and deleting the existing employee. When a new
employee is selected from the
resume tracking, all the details are to be entered and maintained in the database.

The employee details contain three kind of information.


1. Personal Information
2. Contact Information
3. Employee Status
In the personal information, it consists of the information about the employee name,
employee id,
nationality, etc. In the contact information, it consists of the information about the employee
address, phone
numbers, etc,
In the employee status, it consists of the information about the status of the employee,
supervisor name,
department, etc

PAYROLL
In the payroll module, it consists of the information about the employee salary details such as
basic

pay, allowances, deductions and calculate the gross pay and net pay from the given allowances
and deductions.

All the employees’ pay details are maintained by the HR manager. The main function of this
payroll module is to maintain the employee pay information.

PERFORMANCE
This performance module contains information about the employee’s current position in the
organization. This module has the information such as employee name, employee ID, Division,
work group, evaluation date, evaluator, and evaluation period

This module is used to monitor the employees, their work performance and the involvement of
them in the organization

Resignation
This module contains the information about the ex-employees who have worked for the
organization.
The information is such as department, position, their supervisor, current contact information,
joining date and
Resigning date.

This information is used to contact the ex-employees in case of emergency in which project
they have
already involved.

Leave Management
This module contains the information about the employees leave details. There are three kinds of
leave which are sick leave, vacation, and holiday.

There are fixed amount of days that are allocated for each type of leave and the database of
leave details are maintained by the organization. The details include number of days, period,

total number of leave taken by that employee up to that date and number of days that are
remaining

Projects
This module contains the information about the projects of the company. The information is such
as projects task list field visit and perderms

Loan
This module contains the information about the employee’s loan details All the employees’ loan
details are maintained by the HR manager. The main function of this loan module is to maintain
the employee loan information

Assets
in the assets field contain all the information about assets and properties of a company

employee is rolled to the system as an employee

Conclusion

In conclusion I would like to tell that this Human Resource Management Systems has achieved
its purpose. It has taken a huge task for this project to be completed. It has given a huge lift to the
company’s operations. Whatever that has done manually has been completely shifted to the
computerized process and this has enabled the company to carry out its operation more quickly.
This has also given a wider spectrum of Human Resource Management System communication
to the users. Since whatever that has so far been done manually has been changed to a
computerized. It has resulted in more efficient processing of data.
The new system has resulted in giving numeric advantages to the company in many ways.
Some of them are given below State of negligible paper work is almost reduced. Accessing and
getting data can be done at a single click. Data manipulation has become simpler and the cost
factor has been reduced. It is faster and more efficient processing of data. It is less time
consuming. Operations are more transparency. Communications
