    OPINION ESSAY

    TOPIC: Do mobile phones have a positive or a negative impact on peoples' lives?

    Write a text of 120-150 words.

    This is the rubric that will be used to correct the term test essays:

    TERM TEST TOPICS

    Can digital detoxes improve our mental health?


    Is education in Spain old-fashioned?

    You can practise and prepare both topics, I will choose ONE on the 7 th December

    TIPS

    Choose the topic and read about it online.

    Organise your ideas in paragraphs before you start writing.

    Think about the logical relations that link your ideas and use connectors.

    Don't forget to use vocabulary related with your topic, not just general vocabulary.

    GRAMMAR

    Remember to always write a subject and respect word order:


    subject + verb + direct or indirect object + other complements

    Don't forget to be precise and finish your sentences.

    Maybe demonstratives can help you make references without being repetitive:
    this, that, these, those
    or
    this idea, that kind of devices, these arguments, those who say that...
