Instructions:
Students solve each math problem and write their
answer in the small square. Then they use the key to
find which letter their answer matches. They write that
letter in the blank above that problem. When all
problems are solved, they can read the answer to
the joke!

Ideas for the Classroom:

• Use as Morning Work, a seatwork assignment for
Centers, or Independent Practice after a math
lesson.
• Send home as a fun homework activity.
• Staple a copy of each page together and make a
joke-book for each student to keep at their desk.
They can pull it out and use as a fast finisher
whenever they need to.
• Print on cardstock, laminate, and bind for a re-
useable class joke-book! Stick in the classroom
library or use as a math center. Let students use
dry-erase markers to solve the problems. You can
put the answer key in the back or make a separate
book for students to check their answers.
