4 FAQs
1. Kalindi has a band ?
Yes, it does. Our name is The Eleventh Hour, we’re awesome and we like
to do things last minute, hence the name. Get with the program.
2. What if we wish to audition as both Instrumentalists and Vo-
calists?
You can. Even though the audition process for both differs slightly, there
is no restriction upon applying to both, either individually, or as doing
both in either one’s audition.
3. Are rappers welcome?
Yes! Rappers, beatboxers, acapella artists, yodellers, tibetan throat singers...
if you possess a musical talent, regardless of how obscure and unheard of
it may be - which rap is far from - please do not shy away, You are more
than welcome here.
4. Should a beatboxer apply as an instrumentalist or a vocalist?
A Vocalist.
5. If someone misses these auditions, will it be possible to join the
band afterward?
Yes. Perhaps not immediately, but it is important to remember that there
are several cycles of auditions over the academic session. This is merely
the first one, and if you happen to miss out, keep an eye out for the next
cycle of selections. Or, if you’re really confident in your abilities, reach
out to us directly.
6. I’m not professionally trained, but I’m interested in music and
in joining your band. Is there room for me?
Worry not. Neither are we. We’re all works in progress, anyway, and if
you’re a quick learner and have a natural sense of rhythm and scale, a
little bit of time and effort can go a long way. If you are willing to put in
that time and effort, we would love to have you.
7. I adore music and bands, but have no sense for playing or singing
anything myself. Is there any way I can be a part of this society?
You can. No society runs on talent alone. There are endless duties that
we sweat our backs off managing on our own that require no musical qual-
ifications at all: administrative work, budgeting, secretarial work, social
media management, sound editing, video editing, camera work, and so
much more. If you think you have something to bring to the table, then
mail your resumes to the contact details provided below, and we’ll be in
touch with you.
8. When will the offline auditions happen?
The details of the offline auditions will be shared with the shortlisted
applicants through the contact details provided in the registration forms.
