Of the above - listed strategies, I felt many struggle with basic two basic
things i.e Wake up early in the morning and Be in the sun.
I felt the need to elaborate on those very crucial two strategies i.e must
needed initial things to start your day with .
Wake up early in the morning
The main reason students fail in their careers are not able to achieve their
full potential . The one and only basic reason is that they are not able to
make use of their extra time . Many of them waste it knowingly or
unknowingly due to ignorance or laziness and unaware of the benefits of
early to rise and early to bed .
Many of the students in their early years don’t cultivate the habit of waking up
early in the morning which starts from “ The Creator's Hour ” (3:40 am to 6:40
am ) because they are unaware of the tremendous possibilities it opens up in
their early stages of their career.
Brahma muhurta is a Sanskrit word that translates to “time of Brahma,” “sacred time,”
“time of divinity,” or “the creator’s time.” Brahma, in Hinduism, is the ‘creator’ of the
universe. Brahma Muhurta is a Sanskrit terminology meaning the time of Brahman
( the Hindu God for Creation). Brahma is derived from the Sanskrit root Bruh/Brih, meaning
expansion, creation, or growth. It is the earliest part of the morning, just before sunrise,
when our prana or life force energy is considered to be strongest. It begins an hour and 36
minutes before sunrise and lasts for 48 minutes.
Brahma muhurta is the time during the early morning that is considered to be especially
auspicious by yogis. This pre-dawn time frame is believed to be the ideal time to start any
important spiritual task and to practice yoga, pranayama, or meditation because it is believed
that the mind and body are in the perfect state of balance at this time.
The air is calm and peaceful, and the silence brings a sense of serenity.
This “divine moment” is beneficial for many reasons, from its ability to enhance
Concentration and creativity to its calming mental effects and its potential to improve
overall health. It is a time of transition and when your mind is most in tune with the subtle
energies of nature. The time is free of Noise and Air pollution.
The Significance of Brahma Muhurta
Brahma Muhurta can be described as a sacred window of opportunity, which sets the
tone for a successful day. Waking up at Brahma Muhurta every day is highly conducive
to mental clarity, peace, and productivity.
As per ancient texts, Brahma Muhurta is the time when Brahma’s energy is most prevalent.
During this time, there is peace and stillness, which makes it highly suitable for meditation,
deep reflection, and inner exploration.
Brahma Muhurta allows you to be in sync with the natural rhythms of the universe. It can
align your mind, body, and soul. This can ensure a harmonious and balanced day.
The tranquil atmosphere boosts your concentration, receptivity, and spiritual connection.
This enables you to tap into your inner wisdom and intuition.
What is the importance of the Brahma Muhurta , or the last quarter of the
night before sunrise
The Creator or Brahma is the ultimate knowledge and Muhurta means time period.
Brahma Muhurta is the time period, perfect to perceive the ultimate knowledge.
This time is also called ‘Amrit Vela’, meaning the Ambrosial Period.
Brahma Muhurta means the time of the creator. You can look at it this way: it is
the time when you can create yourself. You become the Brahman in the morning,
so you can make yourself the way you want yourself to be.
The potential of creation is at its peak during Brahma Muhurta. You can create all
that you want in this period effortlessly. If you want to gain knowledge, you can
create it. If you want to acquire new skills, you can learn them. If you want to build
health, you can develop it, or if you want to find some solutions you can get one
during this time.
The Creator's Hour or Brahmamuhurta is a period (muhurta) that
begins one hour and 36 minutes before sunrise, and ends 48 minutes
before sunrise. It is traditionally the penultimate phase or muhurta of
the night, and is considered an auspicious time for all practices
of yoga and most appropriate for dhyana (meditation) , worship God or
any other religious practice. Spiritual activities or any other activities
like reading , practice Music or learning or exercises performed early in
the morning are said to have a greater effect than in any other part of
the day.
What is a Muhurta?
A muhurta is a Vedic unit of time. Each day is divided into 30 muhurtas
which are approximately 48 minutes long.
The nature of the planet’s relationship with the energies / the interaction of our
planet’s energy with the sun and moon is such that certain physiological changes
happen in the human system at this time. Medical science has even found that
the waste material in your body, such as your urine for example, has certain
qualities at that time which it does not have at any other time of the day.
There is substantial research into this. The entire body is in a certain conducive
atmosphere, and there is a natural production of what is called melatonin, which
is a secretion of the pineal gland. We want to make use of this because the pineal
gland is secreting at its maximum during Brahma Muhurta, which means you can
stabilize.
Melatonin secretion:
It is a secretion of the pineal gland in the brain which is at its peak at midnight and reduces
towards the dawn, i.e., during Brahma Muhurta. It is a hormone that induces sleep.
Melatonin is medically seen as a mood stabilizer. The fall in melatonin is accompanied by
the secretion of cortisol, which is an anti-stress and anti-inflammatory hormone whose levels
are high in the early morning. During Brahma Muhurta, which means 'the Creator's time',
high levels of cortisol keep the mind relaxed and calm.
“ Early to bed and early to rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. ”
Known as the “Creator’s Hour ” or Brahma Muhurta is the time to arise from
sleep for preserving a wholesome lifespan.
Ashtanga Hridayam states;
“To protect his life, a healthy person should get up at the Brahma Muhurta”.
“ Most geniuses are just talented people who get up really early in the
morning”
So get out of bed early and kick start your journey towards becoming a genius !
Scientific research has determined that in Brahma Muhurta, the oxygen level in the
atmosphere is almost 41%, which is beneficial to the lungs and brain, as higher oxygen
levels keep the brain active for a longer time.
There are tangible and intangible forms of pollution during the day and night
time. During Brahma Muhurta, nascent oxygen is available in the atmosphere.
This nascent oxygen can easily mix with your body’s hemoglobin, resulting in
the formation of Oxyhaemoglobin.
Boosts immunity
Increases energy level
Helps maintain the balance of blood pH
Relieves pain, soreness, and cramps
Enhances the absorption of minerals and vitamins
Ayurveda ( ancient Indian science of medicine), says that waking up during Brahma
Muhurta increases one’s lifespan and helps avoid diseases.
According to Ayurveda, The one who wakes up at Brahma Muhurta gains beauty, Lakshmi
wealth, health, intelligence and longevity, just like a fully bloomed lotus. By doing this the
body becomes beautiful like a lotus.
The sacred text specifies the exact time of Brahma Muhurta, one and a half hours before
dawn. It is believed that a significant shift of energy can be felt when this auspicious
time begins.
Due to the presence of nectar particles obtained from the air moon flowing in this time,
nectar is equal to our health, it is called Veeravayu. Traveling at this time brings strength
to the body and the body becomes radiant. When we wake up in the morning, this
amritamayi air touches our body. By this touch, there is a fast, strong power, energy and
intelligence in our body, which makes the mind happy and calm.
Conversely, we do not get this beneficial air by waking up late at night and sleeping till late
in the morning, which damages physical and mental health.
The person who wakes up before sunrise in the morning has good health. That is why
Intelligent people do not waste this time in vain. A person who wakes up early in the
morning is healthy, happy, strong, and has a long life.
According to many researches, our atmosphere is largely pollution free during the Brahma
Muhurta in the morning. At this time, the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere is also higher
than in the day. The atmosphere and air are also clean and the air inhaled during this time will
be very pure and healthy. The early morning pure air fills our body and mind with energy .
The power of lungs increases, which purifies the blood. In such a situation, the worship of God,
meditation, yoga, strengthens the body, mind, and intellect.
Apart from this, the atmosphere of the morning becomes pleasant due to the chirping of the
birds, due to which our body and mind become lively and refreshed.
Routine will be fine, then you will get success
Getting up early in the morning is the most important part of the routine, because getting up
early gives us enough time to make tasks and plans for the day. Neither there is a problem of
late arriving at the office, nor is there a problem of the children leaving the school bus. Every
task is completed in a pre-planned manner, so that there is no tension in the mind, there is
also time to do the tasks of your interest. A person waking up in the Brahma Muhurta can be
happy and prosperous by staying physically and mentally healthy. By getting up early, we will
be able to take time out of our busy lifestyles for our close relatives and friends as well, as a
result, relationships will get stronger.
3 to 5 in the morning – At this time the life force is especially in the lungs. After drinking
some lukewarm water, walking in the open air, and doing pranayama. By taking long
breaths at this time, the efficiency of the lungs develops a lot. By getting them pure air
(oxygen) and negative ions in abundance, the body becomes healthy and energetic.
(Contrary to what their name suggests, negative ions have a positive effect on the air,
human health, and the feeling of well-being. Negative ions are beneficial for the human
body while positive ions are harmful.)
Those who wake up in Brahma Muhurta are intelligent and enthusiastic, and those who
stay asleep become dull.
Have you ever wondered what signals roosters to get up early in the
arrival of dawn?
Brahma Muhurta is a specific time where your biological clock reboots, regulating the
pattern and rhythm of your internal system.
Waking up during Brahma Muhurta helps align your sleep pattern with the natural rhythm
of the day, allowing for a more balanced and restful sleep.
While the spiritual importance of waking up in Brahma Muhurta can be found in
abundance, the significance of waking up at this time has been backed by science
as well. This is hidden in the concept of the circadian rhythm.
The Circadian rhythm is essentially your body biological clock which helps in the
functioning of all your organs as per the master clock in the brain. Much of this rhythm
is established due to the sleep-wake cycle and environmental aspects like light acting
as cues for the body to wake up.
If you have a definitive routine, the circadian rhythm is effectively aligned with your
sleep-wake cycle and gives you the perfect restful and restorative sleep. However,
even a slight disturbance can create major problems and diseases.
Waking up in Brahma Muhurta will let you stay attuned to your body’s clock and reap
the benefits of the activities that the brain performs at this hour.
The brain is said to produce melatonin, which helps to induce sleep during the night.
This is the result of a signal sent by your circadian clock to the m aster clock in the brain.
During the Brahma Muhurta, the pineal gland secretes this hormone at the maximum
and waking will help in stabilizing the sleep cycle. It is also during this time that the
cortisol hormone, which is also like your body alarm, also starts to secrete.
If someone synchronize life style with biological clock, his health would be preserved
against various disorders. In short we can say that Brahma Muhurta is an auspicious time that
promotes physical mental, social and spiritual health as well.”

period in Hinduism. While it is associated with numerous benefits and positive experiences,
it’s important to approach the concept of “miracles” with caution and discernment. The term
“miracle” typically implies extraordinary and supernatural occurrences that may vary in
interpretation and belief.

and increased feelings of connection to the divine or higher consciousness during Brahma
Muhurta. These experiences can be deeply transformative and may be seen as “miraculous”

the most out of this auspicious time.
so, avoid sleeping after Brahma Muhurta to store the accumulated cosmic energy and
Be more productive.
Even Sleeping even after sunrise can cause sluggishness, laziness and carelessness.
A person who is healthy and physically fit is advised to wake up during this auspicious
time period.
Not everyone can wake up during the Brahma Muhurtha Kalam. The Hindu scriptures
bar the below people from waking up during this time.
Ashtanga Hridaya says that only healthy people should wake up during Brahma Muhurta.
It also says that the following categories of people should avoid waking up during
Brahma Muhurta:
The text advises some people against waking up in Brahmamuhurta including:
Pregnant women
Small Children
Old people ( Aged ) people who who don’t have the habit of waking up in this
period from the very beginning
People suffering from any physical and mental illness / problems.

we have started to consider sleeping late and waking up late in
the modern lifestyle, but it has always been said to sleep early at night and wake up early
in the morning to get good health. Sleeping late and getting up late can be harmful to
health. That is why in our ancient traditions, the time to get up in the morning has also
been fixed. This is the ‘Brahma Muhurta’, that is, the last hour of the night or about one
and a half hours before sunrise.
So, instead of hitting that snooze button, and snoring again, throw away your blanket.
Get up, get moving and start your day with some meditation, creating eternal bliss with
your inner self. It’s Brahma Muhurta, time to re establish that lost connection with
yourself.
Practicing yourself to wake up during Brahma Muhurtha

cycle. You might use alarms to wake up on time. Go for a small nap during the afternoon to
compensate for the loss of sleep. After few days, your body and mind will adapt to the
changes in your sleep schedule and cooperate well.
Taking a bath before Brahma Muhurta is adviced as your mind and body become fresh and
it washes away the dullness and fatigue of sleep.

method of calculating Brahma Muhurtham, and the ways to adapt to waking up during
this auspicious time. Give a shot, and you will see its positive impact on you.
“Every morning you have two choices: continue to sleep with dreams or wake up and
chase your dreams. The choice is yours.”
― Rumi
Benefits of Wake up early in the morning are : -
Please make use of these above - listed benefits for your own good,
which helps you in moving forward in your career and achieve
tremendous success.
Suggestions for waking up earlier
When the body is positioned horizontally, you can immediately make out that your
pulse rate drops. The body makes this adjustment because if blood is pumped with
the same force, too much will go into your head, causing damage. The blood vessels
which go upward are a finer arrangement compared to those going down. As they go
up into the brain, they become almost hair-like, to a point that they cannot take
an extra drop.
Do Not “Head North”
If you put your head to the north and sleep during the night in a horizontal position,
then slowly the blood will get pulled towards your brain. When there is too much
circulation in the brain, you cannot sleep peacefully
“ If you place your head to the north and stay that way for 5 to 6 hours, the magnetic pull
Will cause pressure on your brain.”
When you sleep, if you place your head towards the north and stay that way for 5 to 6
hours, the magnetic pull of the Earth will cause pressure on your brain because iron is
an important ingredient in your blood. It is not that if you sleep this way you will fall dead.
But if you do this every day, you are asking for trouble.
If you are beyond a certain age and your blood vessels are weak, it can result in
hemorrhages and paralytic strokes.
If your system is sturdy, you may not sleep very well because there is
more circulation in the brain than there should be.
If you have any kind of inherently weak aspects in your brain or if you are of old age,
you could die in your sleep. One can have hemorrhage because extra blood is trying to
enter the brain where the blood vessels are hairlike.
Something extra is being pushed because of the magnetic pull of the planet. When you
are in a vertical position, this is not so. The moment you become horizontal, this pull on
the head is strong. This is true only in the northern hemisphere.
If you are in the northern hemisphere, East is the best direction to keep your head when
you sleep. Northeast is okay. West is alright. South, if you must. North, no.
This is true as long as you are in the northern hemisphere – sleeping with your head
towards any side except north is okay.
If you go to Australia, you should not put your head to the south. If you are in India you
should not put your head to the north. It is okay if you put it any other way.
fruits are easy to digest as they are great for a healthy bowel
movement.
As per a few studies, eating fruits before sleeping can lead to a spike in
the level of sugar, which can further lead to insomnia rather than
inducing sleep and making you feel relaxed.
Therefore if you want to eat fruit at night you must ensure that there is a gap
of at least 30 minutes before you take your meals.
How much sleep your body needs depends on the level of physical activity you perform.
There is no need to fix the quantum of either food or sleep. When your activity levels are low,
you eat less. When they are high, you may eat more. The same goes for sleep. The moment
the body is well rested it will get up, whether at 3 AM or 8 AM. Your body should not wake
up to an alarm bell. Once it feels sufficiently rested, it must come awake.
If you forcefully deny sleep to the body, your physical and mental capabilities and whatever
else you have will drop. You should never do that. You must give the body how much sleep
it needs. But if the body is somehow trying to use the bed as a grave, it won’t want to come
out. Somebody will have to raise you from the dead! It depends on how you are handling
your life. If you are in a mental state where you want to avoid life, you will naturally tend to
eat and sleep more.
Sleep well
Take a Shower
Always shower before you go to bed. It will make a lot of difference. Maybe cold
showers are difficult in cold weather, so take a lukewarm shower, but do not go for
hot showers in the night.
A cold shower will keep you alert. You will sleep twenty minutes or half an hour later,
but you will sleep better because it will take away certain things. When you shower,
it is not just the dirt on the skin that you are taking away.
Have you noticed, if you are very tense and anxious, after taking a shower, you come out
feeling almost like a burden has been taken away from you? It is not just about washing the
skin. A whole lot of things happen when water flows over your body. Taking a shower is a
very rudimentary bhuta shuddhi because over seventy percent of your body is actually water.
If you run water over it, a certain purification happens which is beyond cleaning the skin.
Just do this before you go to bed. In the last three minutes, keep aside everything
that you have gathered – the body, the content of the mind, and the small things.
Do not ignore small things; these small things are big things.
everything that you have gathered – keep it aside and sleep.
If you manage to sleep like that, you will wake up with something else altogether
different. You will wake up with much more light, energy and possibilities than
you have imagined possible. Just sleep as life – not as a man or woman, not as
this and that. Simply keep everything down.
Waking Up On the “Right” Side
One important aspect of your physiology is your heart. It is the pumping station
for your blood, which pumps life across the body. If this one thing does not
happen, nothing happens. This starts from left side In India, the culture has
always said that when you wake up, you must roll to your right side and
get up / get out of bed.
They have told you that if you roll to your left side and get up, bad things will
happen to you. This is because when the body is in a certain state of relaxation,
the metabolic activity is low. When you get up, there is a certain surge of activity.
That is why they told you to roll to your right side.
So you need to roll over to your right side and get up because at a lower level of
metabolic activity, if you suddenly roll to your left, you will put pressure upon
your cardiac system.
In the tradition, they also told you that before you get up in the morning, you must
rub your hands together and place your palms upon your eyes. They said that if you do this,
you will see God. It is not about seeing God.
Before you get up in the morning, you must rub your hands together and place your palms
upon your eyes.
Rub Your Hands Together and Place Them Upon Your Eyes
A whole science of living has been built into your life. They told you that you must
rub your hands together and place them upon your eyes in the morning after you wake up.
There is a heavy concentration of nerve endings in your hands.
If you rub these two palms together, all the nerve endings are activated and the system
comes awake immediately.
If you are feeling sleepy, just do this and everything will come awake. Instantly a whole range
of nerves connected with your eyes and the other aspects of your senses will come awake.
Before you move your body, your body and your brain should be active. You should not get up
dumb. That is the idea. You can do that and then roll over to your right and get up.
The first few days when you succeeded in waking up early in the morning, start your day
with joy so that you will be motivated to wake up the next day or the following days.
Staying awake after getting out of bed and doing productive tasks will motivate and help
bring consistency to waking up early every day.
But present-day lifestyles are disrupting our natural circadian rhythm by changing
how much light we are exposed to. A key difference is the amount of time we now
spend inside. This can disturb our circadian rhythm because although indoor
environments can seem pretty bright, artificial indoor lighting is often much
weaker than we perceive it to be.
While a typical classroom, office or hospital setting provides a light intensity that
is between 150 and 1,000 lux, being outside on a sunny day can mean being
exposed to light that is 10 to 1000 times brighter!
fall asleep.
Sunlight and serotonin
Sunlight helps boost a chemical in your brain called serotonin , and Serotonin is
that can give you more energy , is associated with boosting mood and help keep
you calm, positive, and focused.
Sunlight and darkness trigger the release of hormones in your brain. Exposure to
sunlight is thought to increase the brain’s release of a hormone called serotonin.
At night, darker lighting triggers the brain to make another hormone
called melatonin. This hormone is responsible for helping you sleep.
Without enough sun exposure, your serotonin levels can dip. Low levels of
serotonin are associated with a higher risk of major depression with seasonal
pattern (formerly known as seasonal affective disorder or SAD). This is a form of
depression triggered by the changing seasons.
The Sun Is Your Best Source of Vitamin D
Vitamin D has many roles in the body and is essential for optimal health
Vitamin D is made in the skin when it’s exposed to sunlight. Sun exposure is
by far the best way to boost vitamin D levels, particularly because very few
foods contain significant amounts.
It instructs the cells in your gut to absorb calcium and phosphorus — two
minerals that are essential for maintaining strong and healthy bones
Vitamin D is made in the skin when it’s exposed to sunlight.

Importance of nutrition in ones lives – Balanced diet
Good nutrition means your body gets all the nutrients, vitamins, and minerals it needs to
work its best.
Eating a healthy diet is all about feeling great, having more energy, improving your health,
and boosting your mood.
Nutrition is also important for you to boost your immunity and give it the ability to
fight against diseases.
Reasons below that highlight the need of good nutrition
1.Age
2.Gender
3. Lifestyle
4. Physical activity
5. Cultural context
Good nutrition, physical activity, and healthy body weight are essential parts
of a person’s overall health and well- being.
Being physically active manages many health problems and improves mental
health by reducing stress, depression, and pain. Regular exercise helps to prevent
metabolic syndrome, stroke, high blood pressure, arthritis, and anxiety.
A balanced diet includes some specific healthy food groups under it:
2 ) Fruits that include whole fruits, fresh fruits or fruit juices but not
A complex set of factors that vary from person to person and depend on culture, heritage
and up-bringing all influence food choice.
It’s important to note that a healthy diet doesn’t necessarily mean completely avoiding
all types of junk food. Moderation is key. Enjoying occasional treats or indulging in your
favorite junk food in moderation can be a part of a balanced lifestyle. The focus should be
on making nutritious choices the majority of the time and incorporating a variety of healthy
foods into your diet.
Ultimately, the choice between junk food and healthy food depends on individual
preferences, dietary needs, and overall health goals. It’s important to consider the
long-term impact of your food choices on your well-being.
Water Has More Impact On Your Health Than Food
The way you keep and consume water has an immediate and significant impact on your
system.
Water can support and promote health and vitality, and it can also have extremely negative
consequences on our systems.
The Quality Of The Water You Drink Is More Important Than The Quality Of The Food
You Eat.
Out of all physical matter, we are mostly water. Our bodies are more water than we are cells,
bacteria, and space. There is much more social focus on food, and how food nourishes the
body - but food only makes up 12% of the human body. Water represents more than 70% of
who we are. And yet, almost no one is aware that so many variables impact and change how
water will act in the human system.
Yogic sciences have known for thousands of years that the molecular structure of water is far
more complex than modern science recognizes today. It has a tremendous amount of memory,
and can change form even based on thought or emotion of someone nearby. How we treat
water we’re about to drink, therefore has enormous impact on how the water behaves in the
body.
Excessive Consumption Of Water
Drinking too much water can damage the system. Drinking in small sips throughout the day
will lead you to taking in more water than necessary, because the body naturally absorbs
more water than it normally would when a sufficient quantity of water is consumed at one
time.
The sodium levels in the body are very delicately balanced. When you drink too much
water, sodium levels, particularly in the brain, will drop, leading to swelling of the brain.
This swelling happens because the body will notice the sodium levels dropping and then
Send water to the brain to try to re-balance sodium levels .
So you will end up with more water in your brain, which has many negative consequences.
Even a slight swelling of the brain will do many things, including instigate psychological
imbalance.
Drinking not enough water has very serious consequences. If you aren’t thirsty, no need to
drink. But if you are thirsty, drink enough plus 10% more.
If you don’t drink when you need water, it will cause damage to the system, especially the
heart. According to Sadhguru, 50% of heart attacks in the world would come down if people
drank good quality water in sufficient quantity.
When there is an indication of thirst, you must have a substantial quantity of water within
20-30 minutes. Then, the body will choose how much to use and how much to expel.
Avoid drinking amidst physical activity - Ideally not during physical activity
Drink water at least 20 minutes before or after any kind of activity.
If you must drink something due to dehydration, it should be as minimal an amount as
possible, and when you drink it, don’t just guzzle it down. Keep the water in your mouth for
a few moments to fully hydrate the mouth and maximize absorption here first.
Eat foods that are a minimum 70% water content - Eat high water content foods.
You must eat high-water content foods. Fruit have almost 90% water. Vegetables are
over 70%. If the food is less than 70% water content, it will only dehydrate the body.
So this is one reason why vegetables and fruits in a raw or lightly cooked state should be
a part of your diet, or else your system will not be sufficiently balanced and hydrated.
The system heats up when it goes through any kind of physical intensity, activity, or
exertion. In a state of this kind of heat, liquid (or food) is not absorbed well in the
stomach, and as well, its impact on the system as a whole will have negative consequences
in most scenarios.
Drink water at least 20 minutes before or after any kind of activity. If you’re going to be
playing a game or a sport, make sure you hydrate with water and water-rich foods earlier
in the day or the night before. If you must drink something due to dehydration, it should
be as minimal an amount as possible, and when you drink it, don’t just guzzle it down.
Keep the water in your mouth for a few moments to fully hydrate the mouth and
maximize absorption here first.
No ice
To be most compatible with your system, the water you drink should be within 8 degrees
up or down from your current body temperature. Temperatures outside of this range are
not conducive for the human system, and will disturb the water already in your system in
an unfavourable way.
Food and religion
"Religion does not consist in erecting temples, or building churches, or attending public
worship. It is not to be found in books, or in words, or in lectures, or in organisations.
Religion consists in realisation."
According to Vivekananda,
Religion is the manifestation of the Divinity already in man. He also told, religion is the idea
which raises the brute unto man, and man unto God.
Sadhguru:
Bring reverence towards the earth that you walk upon, the air that you breathe, the water
that you drink, the food you eat & the people you come in touch with. This is a way of
ensuring success in every endeavor that you partake in.
Your selection of food and consumption of food also must happen consciously. More than
what you eat, how you eat it is also equally important. When I say how you eat it, these are
all live substances. Every one of them had a life of their own. Whether it’s a plant, animal,
vegetable – every one of them had a life of their own. Now, in some way, you’re making food
out of it, you must consume it with utmost gratitude.
The food on your plate is not just a substance. It is not a material. It is not a commodity.
It is life
If you approach it with a certain sense of gratitude and reverence towards the food that you
eat. When I say reverence, it may feel like too much for you, but I’m asking you… Let’s say we
put you in a room and you had nothing to eat for 5 days. If God appears in front of you, what
will you ask for? Food. So that’s how important it is. You must understand, the food on your
plate is not just a substance. It is not a material. It is not a commodity. It is life. It is the
life-making material for you. So, you must treat it as such.
Right now, when it’s on the plate, when it’s out there it has no value. But the moment you
consume it and it becomes your flesh and blood, now suddenly it’s of immense value. Why do
we live like this? It’s very important, when it comes on your plate itself, you must treat it as a
part of yourself. With great reverence, you must consume. Just the way you consume it, if you
change that, food will behave very differently within you.
This is what consciousness means. If people say your consciousness has no impact on your life,
only chemical structures have impact, I’m very sorry for them. Because that’s not how life
works. Human consciousness has a deep and profound impact on everything that we touch.
Especially the food, that we are making another life as a part of ourselves. When we’re doing
such an act, it’s very very important, we treat it with utmost gratitude and reverence.
Food is not just nourishment – it is something that makes your life. We need to treat it with
utmost love and reverence.
Religion is an inward step, but if it is only about belonging to this group or that group, it is
very unfortunate. That has only brought hatred, conflict, and separation among people.
As long as we are divided in the name of religion, race, caste, gender, and nationality,
there can be no true Success for Humanity.
God is the Creator, not a manager. Humans have the privilege of managing their own lives.
Every aspect of my life is soaked in Devotion. Devotion not for a God above, but for all that
is around me.
Whether you call it God, the Creator, or the source of creation – it is constantly on.
If it withdraws, the whole universe will collapse and disappear in a moment.
The Golden Rule
What is Yoga
“Yoga is not something that you do. Yoga is something that you become. It is not an act, it is a
quality. If you cultivate your body, mind, emotions and energies to a certain level of maturity,
a certain quality arises within you. That is yoga.”
If you thought that yoga was all about bending and twisting your body in odd shapes, it's time
to rethink. Yoga is much more. In very simple words, giving care to your body, mind and breath
is yoga.
"Yoga is a study of life, study of your body, breath, mind, intellect, memory, and ego. Study of
your inner faculties!" - Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar
Yoga is a technique which unites the body, mind and spirit. Yoga relieves you from stress and
tension. It is stress that causes weakness, anger, jealousy and all the negative emotions. When
you get rid of stress using breathing techniques, meditation and some simple exercises, it
helps your body and mind and creates a sense of well-being and happiness from inside.
Yoga is a word derived from the Sankrit word ‘yuj’ which means ‘to unite or integrate’, yoga
is ancient Indian body of knowledge. Yoga is all about harmonizing the body with the mind
and breath through the means of various pranayamas, yoga asanas (yoga poses) and
meditation.
Sadhguru: Yoga is not an exercise form as is commonly misunderstood today. “Yoga” literally
means union. Modern science proves that the whole existence is just one energy – but you are
not experiencing it that way. If you can break this illusion that you are separate, and
experience the oneness of existence, that is yoga. To lead you towards this experience, there
are various methods. Asanas are one aspect.
There are other dimensions to this, but to put it simply, if you observe yourself, when you
are angry, you sit one way. If you are happy, you sit another way. If you are depressed,
another way. For every level of consciousness or mental and emotional situation you go
through, your body tends to take certain postures. The converse of this is the science of
asanas. If you consciously get your body into different postures, you can elevate your
consciousness. Understanding the mechanics of the body, creating a certain atmosphere,
and using the body to drive your energy in specific directions is what yogasanas are about.
Yoga: Finding Ultimate Expression to Life
When we say "yoga," for most people it probably means twisting the body into impossible
postures. That’s not what yoga is about. Among the Yoga Sutras, which form the bedrock of
today’s yoga, only one sutra is dedicated to asanas. All Patanjali said was “Sthiram sukham
asanam” – a posture which is comfortable and firm, that is your asana. Asanas are a very
preparatory step, but unfortunately they are being propagated as the whole of yoga. Yoga
means to be in perfect tune. Your body, mind and spirit and the existence are in absolute
harmony. When you fine-tune yourself to a point where everything functions so beautifully
within you, the best of your abilities will naturally flow out of you.
What religion you belong to has nothing to do with your ability to make use of the yogic
systems, because yoga is a technology. Technology does not make any distinction as to what
you believe in and what you do not believe in. What you may believe in or not is purely a
psychological process – it has got nothing to do with making use of a technology.
Yoga is Hindu just the way gravity is Christian. Just because the law of gravity was
propounded by Isaac Newton, who lived in a Christian culture, does it make gravity
Christian? Yoga is a technology. Anybody who is willing to make use of it can make use of it.
It is ridiculous to even think that there could be a religious tinge to yoga.
The spiritual process and the technology of yoga predates all religion. Before human beings
started thinking of forming religious groups to fracture humanity in a way that you can’t fix
them, the idea that a human being can evolve himself came from Shiva, the Adiyogi.
Why the yogic sciences have gotten labeled as Hindu is because this science and technology
grew in this culture. And because this culture was dialectical in nature, naturally they
delivered the science in a dialectical manner, involving the cultural strengths of the land,
which is essentially the Hindu way of life.
The term and concept of Hinduism was coined only in recent times. Otherwise, there
was really no such thing.
The word “Hindu” has come from the word “Sindhu,” which is a river. Because this culture
grew from the banks of the river Sindhu or Indus, this culture got labeled as Hindu. Anybody
who is born in the land of Indus is a Hindu.
It is a cultural and geographic identity. It is like saying “I am an Indian” but it is a more ancient
identity than being an Indian. “Indian” is only about seventy years old, but this is
an identity that we have always lived with.
It is a geographical identity, which slowly evolved into a cultural identity, and when some
very aggressive religions came into the land and a big “competition” was set up, they
tried organizing themselves as a religion – which has not happened yet.
You still cannot put them together because they don’t have one belief system.
We need to understand this – Hindu is not an “ism;” it is not a religion. Being a Hindu does
not mean having a particular belief system.
Basically, the whole culture was oriented towards realizing one’s full potential.
Whatever you did in this culture was Hindu.
There is no particular god or ideology which you can call as the Hindu way of life. You can
worship a man-god and be a Hindu; you can worship a woman-god and be a Hindu; you can
worship a cow and be a Hindu; you can give up all worship and still be a Hindu. So you are a
Hindu irrespective of what you believe or don't believe.
It is only recently and due to external influences that this geographical and cultural identity
has attempted to transform itself into a religious identity called Hinduism. Hindu was never
an “ism”, and the attempt to organize it as a religion is still not successful because the
Hindu way of life which is referred to as Sanatana Dharma or universal law is all-inclusive
in nature and does not exclude anything. The Hindu way of life is not an organized belief
system but a science of salvation.
Yoga is a tool to find ultimate expression to life. Every human being must explore and
know this.
Yoga needs to be handled in an extremely committed atmosphere because it is a
tremendous tool for transformation. If something has the power to transform, it also has
the power to cause damage if mishandled.
So Learn YOGA under the guidance of a master / any GOOD qualified yoga teacher .
Over 15,000 years ago, predating all religion, Adiyogi, the first Yogi, transmitted the science
of Yoga to his seven disciples, the Saptarishis. He expounded 112 ways through which human
beings can transcend their limitations and reach their ultimate potential. Adiyogi’s offerings
are tools for individual transformation, as individual transformation is the only way to
transform the world. His fundamental message is that “in is the only way out” for human
wellbeing and liberation.
In the yogic culture, Shiva is not known as a god, but as the Adiyogi or the first yogi – the
originator of yoga. He was the one who first put this seed into the human mind. According
to the yogic lore, over fifteen thousand years ago, Shiva attained to his full enlightenment and
abandoned himself in an intense ecstatic dance upon the Himalayas. When his ecstasy allowed
him some movement, he danced wildly. When it became beyond movement, he became
utterly still.
People saw that he was experiencing something that nobody had known before, something
that they were unable to fathom. Interest developed and people came wanting to know what
this was. They came, they waited and they left because the man was oblivious to other
people’s presence. He was either in intense dance or absolute stillness, completely uncaring
of what was happening around him. Soon, everyone left…
These seven people were insistent that they must learn what this man had in him, but Shiva
ignored them. They pleaded and begged him, “Please, we want to know what you know.”
Shiva dismissed them and said, “You fools. The way you are, you are not going to know in a
million years. There is a tremendous amount of preparation needed for this. This is not
entertainment.”
So they started preparing. Day after day, week after week, month after month, year after year,
they prepared. Shiva just chose to ignore them. On a full moon day, after eighty-four years of
sadhana, when the solstice had shifted from the summer solstice to the winter solstice –
which in this tradition is known as Dakshinayana – the Adiyogi looked at these seven people
and saw that they had become shining receptacles of knowing. They were absolutely ripe to
receive. He could not ignore them anymore. They grabbed his attention.
He watched them closely for the next few days and when the next full moon rose, he decided
to become a Guru. The Adiyogi transformed himself into the Adi Guru; the first Guru was born
on that day which is today known as Guru Purnima. On the banks of Kanti Sarovar, a lake that
lies a few kilometers above Kedarnath, he turned South to shed his grace upon the human
race, and the transmission of the yogic science to these seven people began.
The yogic science is not about a yoga class that you go through about how to bend your
body – which every new born infant knows – or how to hold your breath – which every
unborn infant knows.
This is the science of understanding the mechanics of the entire human system.
After many years, when the transmission was complete, it produced seven fully enlightened
beings – the seven celebrated sages who are today known as the Saptarishis, and are
worshipped and admired in Indian culture. Shiva put different aspects of yoga into each of
these seven people, and these aspects became the seven basic forms of yoga. Even today,
yoga has maintained these seven distinct forms.
Transmission of the yogic sciences to the seven rishis
The Saptarishis were sent in seven different directions to different parts of the world to
carry this dimension with which a human being can evolve beyond his present limitations
and compulsions. They became the limbs of Shiva, taking the knowing and technology of how
a human being can exist here as the Creator himself, to the world. Time has ravaged many
things, but when the cultures of those lands are carefully looked at, small strands of these
people’s work can be seen, still alive. It has taken on various colors and forms, and has
changed its complexion in a million different ways, but these strands can still be seen.
The Adiyogi brought this possibility that a human being need not be contained in the defined
limitations of our species. There is a way to be contained in physicality but not to belong to it.
There is a way to inhabit the body but never become the body. There is a way to use your
mind in the highest possible way but still never know the miseries of the mind. Whatever
dimension of existence you are in right now, you can go beyond that – there is another way
to live. He said, “You can evolve beyond your present limitations if you do the necessary work
upon yourself.” That is the significance of the Adiyogi.
Adiyogi - The Source of Yoga
Adiyogi is here to liberate you from disease, discomfort, and poverty – above all, from the
very process of life and death. - Sadhguru
“Yoga is a technology. If you learn to use it, it works – no matter where you come from or
what you believe in or do not believe in.”
Today, yoga is said to be the world's fastest growing wellness regimen because it presents
spirituality as technology. Mahashivratri is a festival that was chosen to honour Shiva, the
Adi Guru, from whom yoga originated. On this night the planetary positions in the northern
hemisphere are such that there is a natural upsurge of energies. If one just stays awake and
keeps one's spine erect throughout the night, it naturally pushes a person towards his
spiritual peak.
Playing modern sports / Traditional sports and games – outdoor and indoor
When a children starts using their parent’s smartphone from an early age, there is an
increased Chance that they will end up getting addicted to using gaming applications which
can work as a distraction towards their education. Even when there are many useful apps
online that are designed to complement elementary education or different subsequent levels,
securing your children from the perilous impact of a smartphone can be a tough task. That’s
the importance of sports can be established in a young child’s life by getting them involved in
physical activities and ensuring that they find a balance between their studies, sports as well
as their time spent of digital gadgets.
When we talk about a student, an image of a child with a heavy school bag with lots of
books immediately pops into our minds. However, many believe that a school's
environment shouldn’t be just confined to academics. Since only reading or studying
makes children bookworm, many other activities have a vital role in the holistic
development of a student, such as sports or games, etc.
But some people, or let’s say some parents, are still struggling with the importance of
sports in students' life. They often doubt,
“What makes sports a worthy investment for students other than education?” Though
studies are important, we can’t deny that sports help in the overall development and
growth of a child.
To some parents, sports & games may appear as wastage of time. However, sports
are essential for complete development of the students. Sports not only keep the
students healthy but these also contribute to their mental development. Sports
allow the students to get rid of their monotonous routine.
These also instill personality traits like confidence, self -esteem, team spirit,
compassion, etc, in the students.
Importance of Games and Sports in Student’s Life
For ages, sports have been viewed as a way to stay healthy and fit, but it goes beyond
that. Today, sports are essential for students' overall growth and development. Playing
various sports helps them teach life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability,
patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges.
Students get a chance to work on their physical and mental abilities to achieve goals in
their life. We can realise the importance of sports in our daily life through a variety of
national and international sports events organised all over the world where different
players represent their countries and showcase their sporting capabilities.
Additionally, the learning of a student starts from the primary level and sports help
students develop a strong mental and physical foundation from an early age. Given below
are the reasons why sports and games are crucial in a student’s life, in addition to their
academic development.
The physical benefits of playing sports are countless for students. Several physical activities
can play a vital role in leading a happy and healthy life; they are as follows:
Overall Fitness
Healthy and Fit Body
Prevent Diseases
Reduces Stress and anxiety
Hormonal Benefits – dopamine , oxytocin ( team games ), endorphins and serotonin
Sports is Directly Proportional to Health
All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy- we all have been familiar with this
proverb.
Mental alertness
For inner harmony & peace of mind
Sports is straightforwardly corresponding to well-being
Helps with Concentration
Social and Personality Benefits of Playing Sports and games
The value of games and sports isn’t limited to physical benefits; rather, it also contributes
to one’s
self-discipline
Enhanced Social Relationships
Develops Life Skills
Time Management and Discipline
Develop Better Values - Skills like patience, teamwork, leadership, discipline,
Learning from failure, Sportsmanship etc.,
Enhances Self-Confidence and Self-Esteem
Emotional Stamina - Games make students emotionally strong.
It helps in building skills.
Students have a great career in Sports - Increases career opportunities in the
Future .
These skills are equally important when it comes to study and management.
They nurture mutual respect, honesty, dedication and gesture of appreciation, etc.
If there is some sports activity included in students’ daily activities, it will contribute
Towards their overall brain as well as physical development.
By giving equal importance to sports at the school level, the students can get early
exposure to sports activities, which would help their overall development. Earlier,
more importance was given to grades rather than extracurricular activities. But since
then, the education system has changed, and more focus is shifted towards the holistic
development of students.
Leads to proper mental growth: Sports help students in their mental growth. They acquire
skills such as decision making, confidence, time management, sense of responsibility, etc.
Indoor games like carom, chess, sudoku, etc. improves mind mapping, strategies, and
the concentration level of students.
Sports are beneficial in teaching punctuality, patience, discipline and in directing the
students towards their goals Students who are involved in sports stay away from the
bones and muscles related diseases like arthritis and joint problems. Such students also
keep obesity at bay.
Several kinds of research have shown that children who are indulged in sports and
physical activities are less likely to be influenced in the direction of Crime. How? Being
engaged in sports lessens the duration of unsupervised free time for them and puts a
stop to apathy. This prevents them from getting engaged in the habit of smoking,
consuming alcohol, and drugs. With the passing time, it’s seen that students who are
involved in sports are better at studies and have adapted certain things such as goal
setting, planning, and strategizing that play an integral role in their overall development.
Develops Life Skills: Perseverance, determination, discipline, and resilience are some
life skills that go a long way. Students develop a positive attitude towards life and learn
to take on challenges, prepared to deal with both outcomes. Achievements teach students
how to handle success with humility and grace, contributing to increased social awareness.
Sports activities teach students ethics and values that shape their mindset toward seeking a
healthy and sound lifestyle.
Sports and Games Promote Creativity: Sports require strategy, critical thinking, and
dedicating time and energy to learning how to play a sport in various ways helps students
hone this ability to think with creativity that they can apply in other areas of life. It makes
them intelligent, spontaneous, and more goal-oriented. Creativity is an essential skill to
live a successful life, and through sports, students will learn about several challenging
situations they would not have encountered otherwise.
Conclusion
Academic studies and athletic capabilities are associated with each other. They work like
the two Sides of the same coin. Along with theory sessions, sports also have a significant
role in education.
No wonder studies are important for a better future, but as parents, we all have to
remember that our children can achieve the same goal despite having an interest in games.
Only one of these two will not lead them to their goal. So, your children should get the
habit of playing from the early school days and carry on this as much as they can.
parents, all we need to do is pick and choose the most deserved school for our little ones
where sports and other curricular activities are given equal importance as studies.
To sum up briefly, the endless list of advantages to students’ physical, mental, and social
development are why sports and games are important. They help build character, discipline,
and life skills that prepare students for success in a competitive and challenging world. We
should understand that academics and athletics are complementary, like a lock and key; one
ceases to exist without the other. For students to achieve their full potential and live a
fulfilling life, it is crucial for them to maintain a balance, and one way to excel in that would
be through sports.

An ancient art form - Considered among the oldest and most scientific martial arts in
Indian and across the world .
Kalaripayattu ( also known simply as Kalari) is an Indian martial art that originated in
modern-day Kerala, a state on the southwestern coast of India. Kalaripayattu is known for
its long-standing history within Indian martial arts, and is one of the oldest surviving martial
arts in India. Ancient Indian martial art that has come to define Kerala .
kalaripayattu is an armed martial art used for self-defence and is indigenous to the
state of Kerala.
Indian martial arts are known to contain customs and sacrileges integral to Hinduism.
Kalaripayattu is no different.
Martial art Kalaripayattu also finds its roots in Ayurveda for curing ailments and the
practice of yoga for leading a healthy life.
The practice of Kalaripayattu has traditionally been passed on to students through vaythari
or the oral commands, but it was only in 1936 that these oral instructions were written down
and published followed by more descriptive writing starting around 1953. Art forms such as
theyyam, parichamuttu, poorakkali, poikali or vela kali, have been inspired by
movements of kalaripayattu.
Kalaripayattu is an amalgamation of two words – ‘kalari’ meaning training ground, and
‘payattu’ meaning training of martial arts. The origins of these words are Malayalam. The
martial art Kalaripayattu is practiced within a specific building that is known as the ‘kalari’.
It is like a gymnasium or training space, and each Kalari is built according to ‘Vaastu Shastra’,
a Hindu practice related to architecture and design of physical spaces.
Kalaripayattu is one of the oldest martial arts practiced to this day and its origins can be
traced back to the ancient times. The very first mention of the Kerala martial art existence
comes from the third century AD Tamil literature. However, it was not until the eleventh
century that Kalaripayattu took the form we know today. It comes from the Malabar coast
of the Ćera kingdom on which the Brahmins, or Hindu monks, have been practicing the
martial arts in shrines called salad and ghatika since ancient times.
Considered among the oldest and most scientific martial arts in the world, Kalaripayattu
was developed in Kerala. Lauded as the pride of Kerala, it is acknowledged and respected
across the world.
The training begins with an oil massage of the entire body until it is agile and supple.
Feats like chattom (jumping), ottam (running) and marichil (somersault) are also integral
parts of the art form. There are also lessons in using weapons like swords, daggers,
spears, maces, and bows and arrows.
The primary aim is the ultimate coordination between mind and body. Another focus of
Kalaripayattu is specialisation in indigenous medicinal practices. Kalaris are also important
centres of religious worship. Once the course is complete, one should engage in oil
massage and practice to maintain shape.
Parashurama - Parasurama was the son of the pious saint, Jamadagni and Renuka Devi .
Lord Shiva, pleased by his devotion and penance awarded him an axe, his super
weapon. ( considered as the greatest warriors of the time )
Lord Parashurama is the 6th Avatar of Lord Vishnu
Existence of Martial arts in India for over 3000 years can be proved by the mention of martial
arts in the Vedas.
According to ancient folklore, Lord Vishnu’s disciple Parasurama who was an avatar of Lord
Vishnu is believed to be the founder of martial arts in India. Kalaripayattu, which is the most
popular amongst many martial arts practiced in India, is believed to have been founded by
Parasurama. Kalaripayattu is probably the oldest form of martial arts in India.
The word kalaripayattu is a combination of two words, namely, ‘kalari’ and ‘payattu’ which
mean training ground and fight. Kalaripayattu is an ancient art form and is considered to be
one of the oldest forms of martial art in Indian and across the world. During the peak of its
popularity, kalaripayattu was used as a code of combat by the South Indian dynasties.
Kalaripayattu reach its zenith during the hundred years of war between the Cholas, Pandyas
and Cheras.
The constant fighting between the princely states helped the fighters in refining the art into
a martial art form.
Many martial arts in India have been forgotten due to neglect and lack of proper
documentation of their existence but kalaripayattu has stood the test of time. During the
13th and 16th centuries, the art gained dominance and was incorporated into many religions
as well. It was customary in Kerala to have all children above the age of seven to obtain
training in kalaripayattu.
Martial arts in India were considered as a code of life for many. However, during the
British occupation, martial arts in India suffered major set backs. The ruling British objected
to the tradition of training with and carrying arms. Laws were passed and were
implemented with zest to prevent the people from practicing and training in kalaripayattu.
These laws were put in place by the British to quell the chances of any form of mutiny
or rebellion among the natives. But the British had underestimated the love of martial
arts in India and kalaripayattu was secretly practiced and kept alive during the colonial
occupation of India by the British. The art was practiced by people in rural areas to avoid
an confrontation with the authorities. Thus, one of the main martial arts of India survived
the dark times where curbs were imposed on its practices. On being declared
independent, martial arts in India were in vogue again as they could now be practiced
without hesitation. Lost glory of kalaripayattu was regained slowly and steadily.
Many movements and postures in the art of kalaripayattu are believed to be inspired by
the raw strength of animals and are also named after them. There is a strong belief that
this art was developed in the forests when hunters had observed the fighting techniques
of different animals.
Today martial arts in India are back in focus. Kalaripayattu is now practiced widely across
Kerala, fringes of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu and also in Sri Lanka. Kalaripayattu is also a
source of living for many people in Kerala as performances are now conducted for
tourists.
Kalaripayattu has been stood the test of time unlike many other martial arts in
India. Historically, kalaripayattu has proven to be one of the most ancient martial arts in
India and is still being practiced by many in Southern India.
Shiva was said to have taught Parasurama, the art of Kalaripayattu, which arised itself
out of Shiva's war with his Father-In-Law Daksha, one of the Prajapatis or
'Lords Of Creation'. Later, Parasurama taught his 21 disciples the art of Kalaripayattu,
and then opened 108 Kalari (school's/gymnasiums) around the Kerala region, Southern
Indian state.
There are no records that chronicle the historical origins of Kalaripayattu, only narrative
accounts formatted as myth and legend. Most of these credit Kalari's origins to Lord Shiva,
one of the three principle Gods of the Hindu pantheon. Shiva has many aspects, he is
depicted as moral and paternal, also called, the Lord of Time(mahakala), the 'Destroyer'
of all things. He is the Yogeshwara who dwells in Kailas, deep in the meditation that
maintains this very existence.
How other Martial Arts derived from Kalaripayattu ?
The ethnic Indian martial art of Kalari Payat (Kalaripayattu) - meaning 'Battleground'
or 'Gymnasium' - (Kalari), 'Method' or 'Art' - (Payatt), has a special significance for
practitioners of the Tibetan and Chinese martial arts. In tradition, the Shaolin Temple
martial art of China was introduced by the Indian Buddhist Patriarch and founder of
Ch'an' (Zen) Buddhism; Bodhidharma (450-523 AD)
The Indian Kalaripayattu Federation (IKF) was established in 1995 to promote the art form
And it conducts state-level competitions, national championships and the National
Kalaripayattu Festival.
Current status
Kalaripayattu is still practised. Most schools can be found in Kerala, the birthplace of this
sport (Calikut, Ernakulam, Wayanad). In addition, we can find sport centers in many large
Indian cities (Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai). The Indian Kalaripayattu Federation has been
operating since 1995 but this sport also gains in popularity in the west (Great Britain,
Germany, France, etc.). In Poland, we find one such a center in Wroclaw.
Importance
Kalaripayattu has been influencing the culture of southern India for centuries.
Kalaripayattu has been an integral part of the culture of Kerala for centuries. As discussed
above, it is not merely a martial art. It is more of a lifestyle – a technique of staying fit,
a method of healing and a mantra for living a more holistic and well-rounded life.
Kalaripayattu is an age-old practice that has been handed down the centuries first by the
Brahmin practitioners and teachers, and later by gurukuls or practitioners in Kerala and the
Malabar region. Such a valuable tradition is important to be preserved and followed in order
to keep it alive.
Conclusion
Kalaripayattu requires no prior training or skills. Anyone can develop the skills if one
consistently follows the training and practice methods taught by a kalari gurukul.
Regular practice will ensure the skills are gained adequately.
Since Kalaripayattu is more of a lifestyle than only a martial art form, it entails following the
rituals that have been handed down the generations to the current practitioners and tutors.
Traditional sports and games like
In fact, Bhima - the second of the five Pandava brothers in the Mahabharata - was
considered the strongest man in the epic and was known as an accomplished wrestler.
Combining raw power with agility and technique to create a fascinating spectacle, wrestling,
as a sport, has constantly grown in popularity in India over the past decade or so.
Wrestling in India was seen as a way to keep fit and strongmen were often accorded great
respect.
India’s first wrestling superstar was Ghulam Mohammad Baksh,
commonly known by the title Rustam-e-Hind ( Champion of India) and by the ring name
Gama Pehlwan or the Great Gama.
‘Great Gama’ (ring name) whose original name is Ghulam Mohammad Baksh, was the greatest
wrestlers of all times during the British Raj.
Where the fame of Bruce Lee is unparalleled, his training was inspired by GAMA’s routine.
Bruce Lee adopted ‘The Cat Stretch’ from the great GAMA which is a push-up based
on yoga.
Bruce Lee
Bruce Lee was considered by many to be one of the greatest martial artists of all time, and
his skills in Kung Fu were a large part of that reputation. Though he didn’t invent the martial
art, his mastery of it was undeniable, and his techniques were copied and studied by martial
artists all over the world. Lee’s speed, power, and precision were unmatched, and he was
able to defeat opponents who were much larger and more physically imposing than he was.
He was also a gifted teacher, and his philosophies on martial arts and life in general have
influenced generations of people.
Bruce Lee was at Kung Fu, but there is no doubt that he was one of the greatest martial artists
of his time, and his legacy continues to influence the world today.
Bruce Lee is famous for several reasons. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest martial
artists of all time, known for his speed, power, and fluidity of movement. He is also known for
his contributions to the development of martial arts, particularly the development
of his own style, Jeet Kune Do.
He starred in several iconic martial arts films, including "Enter the Dragon," "Fist of Fury,"
and "Way of the Dragon." His films introduced martial arts to a wider Western audience
and popularized the genre.
Bruce Lee's philosophy of martial arts and self-improvement has had a lasting impact.
It's important to note that Bruce Lee did not compete in traditional boxing or martial arts
tournaments and therefore did not win any major title fights. However, he did engage in
many sparring matches with other martial artists, and his martial arts abilities were widely
acknowledged by those who knew him and trained with him.
He was also an avid lover of the Indian wrestler. He also incorporated Gama’s exercise
techniques in his techniques.
The Great Gama: Indian wrestling’s undefeated phenom who inspired Bruce lee
Legendary martial artist Bruce Lee later took inspiration from Gama’s training methods and
incorporated several facets of it into his regimen, according to author John Little’s book
titled Bruce Lee: The Art of Expressing the Human Body. The book is a record of Bruce Lee’s
approach to building up his legendary physical prowess based on the icon’s own notes and
records.
Bruce Lee borrowed inspiration from one pioneering Indian wrestler who is now
remembered as one of the finest fighters in the history of the country.
That wrestler was Ghulam Mohammad Baksh Butt who was known in the wrestling ring as
‘The Great Gama’.
Bruce Lee wasn’t just moved by the story of Gama but he also incorporated elements of
Gama’s extensive training routine into his own. While reading about the great wrestler,
Lee decided that he wanted to build up his strength just like Gama had and did multiple
repetitions of fundamental exercises such as “the squat” and “the cat stretch”.
( known as "baithak", and "deep-knee bend") are from Gama.
If seeing Bruce Lee’s ‘The Cat Stretch’ on television makes you crazy as a Lee fan, you need to
know that it wasn’t Lee’s original move. He imbibed it from Gama Pehalwan’s training routine.
Lee’s famous squats aka baithaks were also from the exercise routine of the great wrestler.
Born In A Wrestler’s Family
Ghulam Mohammad was born in an ethnic Kashmiri Muslim family in Punjab region of India.
After the partition of India, Gama migrated to Pakistan, where he died in the city of Lahore on
23 May 1960.
Gama 'The Undefeated' Pehalwan was also considered a national hero as he was
responsible for saving the lives of many Hindus during the partition of India in 1947.
He lived in Mohini Road where also a Hindu community lived. He stayed in Pakistan for the
rest of his life. He is said to save several Hindu people who lived at the same locality where
he lived.
Like all other true champions and icons of sports, Gama Pehalwan too was far above the
petty concerns of religion, caste, creed and all the things that divide human beings. And the
example of it came in the thick of the riots that marked the partition of British India into India
and Pakistan. Gama, a Muslim by faith saved hundreds of Hindus of his colony in Lahore from
the bloodthirsty mob. When the mobs came to attack the Hindus, Gama along with other
wrestlers fought with them to protect the Hindu community. He also helped them reach the
border, gave them food so that they can reach India safely.
The Great Gama, was a pehlwani wrestler and strongman in British India.
With his strength and hard work, Gama became famous all over India for his wrestling skills.
According to reports, during his daily training, Gama used to grapple with 40 of his fellow
wrestlers in the court. Gama also used to do 5000 Baithaks (squats) and 3000 Dands (pushups)
in a day.
In the early 20th century, he was an undefeated wrestling champion of British India.
Undefeated in a career spanning more than 52 years, he is considered one of the greatest
wrestlers of all time. Although Gama did not retire until 1952, he failed to find any other
opponents.
Gama Pehlwan has been a household name in India since the early 20th century and has been
used when a person's strength is being remarked.
Gama has beaten all in the subcontinent, and can't even find opponents anymore, so he
started issuing challenges to individual famous wrestlers saying he would beat them or "pay
them the prize money and leave for home"
Died undefeated
The Great Gama is known for being an undefeated streak till his death. Gama started playing
matches at the age of 10 and never got defeated. In his life, he conquered prominent
wrestlers such as Stanislaus Zbyszko, Frank Gotch, and Benjamin Roller.
There are many stories famous about Gama Pehlwan. However, a story of him lifting a stone
weighing 1200 kg and carrying it for some distance is the most known story about him. He
completed the task as he wanted to show his strength to avid sports lover Maharaja of Baroda
in Gujarat.
'This stone weighing 1,200kg was lifted by the Great Ghulam Mohammad, known as ‘Gama
Pehlwan’, on December 23, 1902, at the age of 22, who lifted it up to his chest and walked
around over a fair distance. In his life he remained undefeated and is acknowledged as the
greatest wrestler ever born.'
Research shows Gama was only 5’7” tall and weighed around 250 pounds or around 115kgs
at his peak.
The stone is now kept at the museum of Baroda that can only be moved by
hydraulic machine.
Gama earned many awards during his career, notably the Indian versions of the World
Heavyweight Championship (1910) and the World Wrestling Championship (1927) where he
was bestowed with the title of “Tiger” after the tournament.
Reportedly, Gama has won over 5000 fights and In his 50 years of bouts, he lost 0 times.

( For children )
India has several traditional games and sports, some of which have been played
for thousands of years. Many of these games do not require much equipment or
playing space. Some traditional Indian games are only played in certain regions
of India, or may be known by different names and played under different rules
and regulations in different regions of the country. Many Indian games are also
similar to other traditional South Asian games.
Any sport or game should be given a significant position in a child's daily schedule and
education. Sports aid in the development of a player's physical and mental toughness.
However, the largest benefit of traditional games is their ad hoc nature. It doesn't call for
pricey infrastructure or specialised instruction. Even though the most well-known games,
like kabaddi and kho kho, do have worldwide competitions, the other games are largely
regionalised. These games' genuine flavours are hidden in their simplicity and accessibility.
Additionally, they may be seen from a traditional, social, and cultural perspective. In their
leisure time, children get together and develop a camaraderie that aids in the development
of their social and cultural ties. These kids come from various socioeconomic, religious, and
familial backgrounds. However, they discover a shared philosophy and game plan when they
come together to play these games. These games don't ask kids to be anything other than
themselves, whether they live in rural or metropolitan settings or any income stratum. Not
to mention how modest traditional games frequently foster true team spirit inadvertently.
Benefits Of Playing Traditional Indian Games
Including any sport or game in a child's daily routine significantly impacts the personality
development and maturation of that youngster. By engaging in sports and physical activities,
a kid develops resilience as well as mental and physical strength. Similar to how they aid in a
child's general development, traditional Indian games.

Traditional games are not just for children. Many of the indoor games are enjoyed by
women and may be played by families. For instance, young girls frequently play hopscotch.
An excellent game that can be played with teams of different eras is antakshari. These
games' primary goals are to unite players and encourage positive interactions. Finally, the
methods and tactics used in traditional games of India have a rustic and regional flavour.
Their names and playing style are deeply ingrained in the local, regional, and cultural quirks
of their environment. As a result, these frequently evolve into much more than simply pass
time activities. They develop into a tool for creating groups, personalities, tactics, and a
greater comprehension of real underlying beliefs.
RECENT - MODERN DAY VIDEO GAMES ARE VERY ADDICTIVE
Most adolescents like to spend at least part of their free time playing video games. But for some, what
starts out as innocent recreation can become an addiction.
Soon, friends, family, school, and even personal hygiene are neglected as nearly every spare
moment is spent playing the game.
Indeed, even in online games that produce a clear victor by the end, it need only be a matter
of seconds until the player joins the next game. Because each game presents a new challenge
and new opponents, boredom is unlikely to set in as quickly as it would if you simply repeated
the same scripted levels over and over.
Video game addiction is a real mental health condition affecting millions of people around the
world.
Video game addiction is defined as the steady and repetitive use of the Internet to play
games frequently with different gamers, potentially leading to negative consequences in
many aspects of life. As recent technological development has given easy access to gaming
on many devices, video game addiction has become a serious public health issue with
increased prevalence. Many studies have shown that video game addiction leads to changes
in the brain that are similar to those that occur in substance addiction and gambling.
Evidence has also shown that there is an association between video game addiction and
depression, as well as other psychological and social problems.
A growing body of evidence, however, shows that video gaming can affect the brain and,
furthermore, cause changes in many regions of the brain.
Too much video game can lead to poor social skills, time away from family, school work and
other hobbies, lower grades, reading less, exercising less, becoming overweight, and having
aggressive thoughts and behaviors.
video game addiction / Spending excessive time playing these games can lead to:
Many experts believe that video games can have a negative effect on mental health.
This includes symptoms like:
The most common vision problem is eye strain, which can lead to headaches and
poor concentration.
3) Miracle Power ( Energy ) hidden within you to achieve
unknowingly
The vital energy, the Veerya that supports your life, which is the Prana of
Pranas, which shines in your sparkling eyes, which beams in your shining
cheeks, is a great treasure for you. Remember this point well. Veerya is the
quintessence of blood. One drop of semen is manufactured out of forty
drops of blood. Mark here how valuable this fluid is!
Dhanvantari replied: “ This seminal energy is verily the Atman. The secret of
health lies in preservation of this vital force. He who wastes this vital and
precious energy cannot have physical, mental, moral and spiritual
development. ”
" I tell you that semen is truly a precious jewel. It is the one most effective
medicine-nectar indeed. The sexual energy is transmuted into Ojas or spiritual
energy by pure thoughts."
Veerya (seminal energy) is God in motion. Veerya is dynamic will. Veerya is
soul-force. Veerya is the essence of life, thought, intelligence and
consciousness. Always remember this.
Virya or semen is a very precious constituent of the body. The formation of semen
from food is a very lengthy process.
semen is the last Dhatu that is formed out of food. Out of food is manufactured
chyle. Out of chyle comes blood. Out of blood comes flesh. Out of flesh comes fat.
Out of fat comes bone. Out of bone comes marrow. Out of marrow comes semen.
These are the Sapta Dhatus or the seven Dhatus that support this life and body.
Mark here how precious is semen! It is the last essence. It is the Essence of
essences. The Veerya comes out of the very marrow that lies concealed inside
the bones.
semen retention is considered important for maintaining overall health and vitality.
It is believed that semen contains vital energy / power or "ojas" which is responsible
for physical and mental strength.
Western medicine says that Semen has over 200 different proteins, vitamins,
minerals and amino acids. It’s a treasure chest of nutrients that the body and
mind need to perform at its best. By this measure, semen is even more precious
than blood!
Semen nourishes the physical body, the heart and the intellect.
Why do people try semen retention? Where does the idea come from?
Judaism has fasts throughout the year, Hinduism encourages awareness and
control over the senses, and some denominations of Christianity forbid sex before
marriage. All of these practices aim to direct energy away from immediate
gratification and towards spiritual, mental, and physical growth

2) Swami Vivekananda
Indian Hindu monk, philosopher, author, religious teacher, and the chief
He was a key figure in the introduction of Vedanta and Yoga to the Western world
and is credited with raising interfaith awareness, and bringing Hinduism to the status
of a major world religion.
Vivekananda was one of the most influential philosophers and social reformers in his
contemporary India, and the most successful missionaries of Vedanta to the Western
world. He was also a major force in contemporary Hindu reform movements, and
contributed to the concept of nationalism in colonial India. He is now widely regarded
as one of the most influential people of modern India and a patriotic saint.
His birthday in India is celebrated as National Youth Day.
Swamiji's memory power
It is well known that Swami Vivekananda during the World Parliament of Religions
held at Chicago in 1893, addressed the gathering as Brothers and Sisters of
America. Many other speakers before Swami Vivekananda had also addressed the
gathering as Brothers and Sisters….but when Swami Vivekananda addressed the
gathering as Brothers and Sisters of America, all the seven thousand odd people
got up and clapped for two minutes…non-stop!

Nikola Tesla is regarded as one of history's most influential inventors, with discoveries
in the area of electricity that were far ahead of their time and continue to have an
impact on technology today.
Nikola Tesla was a visionary that changed the history of humanity with his
inventions.
Few characters in science history have around themselves an aura of a legend
like the inventor Nikola Tesla (1856-1943).
In a 1935 interview, he was asked why he doesn’t engage in sexual activity and his
response was this;
“I recognize the importance that sex plays in the life of man. Nature has made its
attraction irresistible to insure the perpetuity of the race. As for myself, I have
found that the thinker is confronted with the problem of perpetuating either the
species or mind. Before I produced the rotating magnetic field, I concentrated all
my powers upon my experiment. The strain would have killed a hundred oxen. I
certainly could not have survived it if I had permitted my energies to be diverted
into the channels of sex.”
4 ) Mahatma Gandhi
Due to his stature, he is now referred to as Mahatma, meaning “great soul.” World
civil rights leaders—from Martin Luther King, Jr. to Nelson Mandela—have credited
Gandhi as a source of inspiration in their struggles to achieve equal rights for their
people.
Born in 1869 in Gujarat, India, Gandhi studied law at the Inner Temple in London.
He pursued Law as his profession and went to London at 18.
After unsuccessfully attempting to practise in India, he moved to South Africa in
1893, where he stayed for 21 years. It was in South Africa that Gandhi first used
tactics of non-violent resistance to campaign for civil rights. This activism gained
Gandhi the title Mahatma, meaning ‘great soul’.
Mahatma Gandhi is the most acknowledged figure of the Indian National Movement as he
specifically led non-violent civil revolts. He initially operated his approach in South Africa
where he was working as a non-native lawyer. Gandhi spent more than 20 years in South
Africa. Gandhiji was hurt and enraged when he noticed prejudices and exploitation of
colored people under Whites’ authority.
After completing his graduation, he returned to India in 1915 and made non-violent
protests and movements for the growth and development of the country.
He started a peaceful agitation against the discrimination faced by the Indians.
Mahatma Gandhi came into the limelight when he arranged non-violent marches in the
country which earned him fame and support from South African citizens. The Role of
Mahatma Gandhi in Indian National Movement is unforgettable as his services gave us
independence, which includes The Satyagraha Movement, Khilafat Movement,
The Non-Cooperation Movement, the Civil Disobedience Movement, etc.
Mahatma Gandhi Contribution in Freedom Struggle
Mahatma Gandhi made significant contributions to the expansion and prosperity of India.
He employed non-violent resistance to lead a successful campaign for the country’s
independence from British rule.
Became an inspiration for the masses. He demanded a greater voice for Indians
in the British government and administration. He moved forward with his brand
of Satyagraha and started the movement at Champaran, Bihar, which later spread
throughout the country.
Mahatma Gandhi is the most persuasive leader and an esteemed individual who
participated in India’s struggle for independence from British Raj.
Gandhi moved millions of people just like that. Not only in India, anywhere in the world
you take the name of the Mahatma and there is a sense of respect.
Incredible things are done in the world simply out of commitment. A great example is
that of Mahatma Gandhi.
" Be the change - you want to see in others / that you wish to see in the world "
-- Mahatma Gandhiji
In 1906, Gandhi took an oath of Brahmacharya. And for 36 years,
he practiced Brahmacharya in the hope to reach enlightenment and the realization
of God.
In his book Key to Health, this is what Mahatma Gandhi had to say about the
abridged version of Brahmacharya (semen retention):
“The sexual glands are all the time secreting the semen. This secretion should be
utilized for enhancing one’s mental, physical, and spiritual energy. He, who would
learn to utilize it thus, will find that he requires very little food to keep his body in
a fit condition. And yet he will be as capable as any of undertaking physical labor.
Mental exertion will not tire him easily nor will he show the ordinary signs of old
age. Just as a ripe fruit or an old leave falls off naturally, so will such a
brahmachari when his time comes to pass away with all his faculties intact.
Although with the passage of time the effects of the natural wear and tear must
be manifest in his body, his intellects instead of showing signs of decay should
show progressive clarity. If all this is correct, the real key to health lies in the
conservancy of vital (semen) energy.”
5 ) Sadhguru ( Jagadish Vasudev )
Founder and head of the Isha Foundation, based in Coimbatore, India. The
foundation, establishedin 1992, operates an ashram and yoga centre that
carries out educational and spiritual activities. Sadhguru has been teaching
yoga since 1982. He is the author of the New York Times bestsellers Inner
Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy and Karma: A Yogi's Guide to Crafting Your
Destiny, and a frequent speaker at international forums.
Sadhguru also advocates for protecting the environment against climate change,
leading many initiatives like Project GreenHands (PGH), Rally for Rivers, Cauvery
Calling, and the Journey to Save Soil. In 2017, he received the Padma Vibhushan,
India's second-highest civilian award, for his contributions to spirituality and
humanitarian services. Also in 2017, Sadhguru unveiled the Adiyogi Shiva
statue, the worlds largest bust, in Coimbatore, India.
This life for me is an endeavor to help people experience and express their divinity.
May you know the bliss of the Divine.
“As there is a science and technology to create external wellbeing, there is a whole science
and technology for inner wellbeing.”
– Sadhguru
a man whose passion spills into everything he encounters. Named one of India's 50
most influential people, Sadhguru's work has touched the lives of millions worldwide
through his transformational programs. Sadhguru has a unique ability to make the ancient
yogic sciences relevant to contemporary minds, acting as a bridge to the deeper dimensions
of life. His approach does not ascribe to any belief system, but offers methods for self-
transformation that are both proven and powerful.
An author, poet, visionary,
Dedicated to the physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing of humanity and gifted with utter
clarity of perception, Sadhguru possesses a perspective on life and living that never fails to
intrigue, challenge and surprise all those he encounters.
A book that empowers you to explore your spiritual self and could well change your life.
"More Than a Life" is the extraordinary story of Sadhguru – a young agnostic who turned
yogi, a wild motorcyclist who turned mystic, a skeptic who turned spiritual guide.
Pulsating with his razor-sharp intelligence, bracing wit and modern-day vocabulary, the book
empowers you to explore your spiritual self and could well change your life. In his early
years, Jaggi Vasudev (or Sadhguru as he is now known) was a chronic truant, a boisterous
prankster, and later a lover of motorbikes and fast cars. It is evident that the same urgency,
passion and vitality echo in his spiritual pursuits to this day, from his creation of the historic
Dhyanalinga - the mission of three lifetimes - to his approach as a guru. In Sadhguru's view,
faith and reason, spirituality and science, the sacred and the material, cannot be divided into
easy binaries. He sees people as "spiritual beings dabbling with the material rather than the
reverse", and liberation as the fundamental longing in every form of life. Truth for him is
a living experience instead of a destination, a conclusion, or a matter of metaphysical
speculation. The possibility of self-realization, he strongly believes, is available to all.
Drawing upon extended conversations with Sadhguru, interviews with Isha colleagues and
fellow meditators, poet Arundhathi Subramaniam presents an evocative portrait of a
contemporary mystic and guru – a man who seems to pack the intensity and adventure of
several lifetimes into a single one.
In an interview when he was asked about
Sadhguru:
He is best known for his book Think and Grow Rich (1937), which is among the
10 best-selling self-help books of all timeHill's works insisted that fervid
expectations are essential to improving one's life. Most of his books were
promoted as expounding principles to achieve "success".
1) Think and Grow Rich
The book is considered a classic in the personal development genre and has been widely
influential in shaping the way people think about success and wealth.
is a work of non-fiction that was written in 1938 by Napoleon Hill, which was considered
too controversial to be published in its era.The book is written as an interview between
Hill (Mr. Earthbound) and the devil (our inner dark self), wherein Hill attempts to uncover
the secrets to freedom and success by evaluating the greatest obstacles that humans face
in order to attain their personal goals in life. Outwitting the Devil was released by Sterling
Publishing in June, 2011, with annotations by Sharon Lechter.
After the release of Think and Grow Rich, Hill began writing Outwitting the Devil as an
explanation of why some were still seeing failure after following all of the steps in Think
and Grow Rich. His wife, Annie Lou, did not want the book published because of the role
the Devil played in it. When Hill died in 1970, the manuscript went into the possession of
Annie Lou, who died in 1984. After her death, the manuscript went into the hands of
Dr. Charles Johnson, who was Annie Lou’s nephew and president of the Napoleon Hill
Foundation. While Dr. Johnson believed the book’s message to be powerful, his wife,
Frankie Johnson, shared Annie Lou’s feelings and told Dr. Johnson that she did not want
the manuscript published while she was alive. After Frankie’s death, Dr. Johnson passed
the manuscript to Don Green, CEO of the Napoleon Hill Foundation. Sharon Lechter was
then asked to edit the manuscript, and after several years of annotations and reviews,
it was released in June, 2011.
Think and Grow Rich
'Think and Grow Rich,' then you have heard of Napoleon Hill. He is the man
responsible for coining the phrase and writing one of the bestselling books in
history, titled as such.
His astounding book 'Think and Grow Rich,' has consistently achieved incredible
success and is a highly sought after wealth of wisdom, for many; even 70 years on,
it still remains in the top six 'best-selling business paperbacks.'
“Sex desire is the most powerful of human desires. When driven by this desire,
men develop keenness of imagination, courage, will-power, persistence, and
creative ability unknown to them at other times. So strong and impelling is the
desire for sexual contact, that men freely run the risk of life and reputation to
indulge it. When harnessed, and redirected along other lines, this motivating force
maintains all of its attributes of keenness of imagination, courage, etc., which may
be used as powerful creative forces in literature, art, or in any other profession or
calling, including, of course, the accumulation of riches”
Transmutation of sex energy calls for more will power than the average person cares
To Use for this purpose. Those who find it difficult to summon will- power sufficient
for transmutation, may gradually acquire this ability. Though this requires
will-power, the reward for the practice is more than worth the effort.
By the simple process of transmuting that emotion into some form of activity other than
copulation. Sex is one of the greatest of all forces which motivate human beings.
Because of this fact it is also one of the most dangerous forces. If humans would
control their sex desires and transmute them into a driving force with which to carry on
their occupation—that is, if they spent on their work one half the time they dissipate in
pursuit of sex, they would never know poverty.
The meaning of the word "transmute" is, in simple language, "the changing, or transferring
of one element, or form of energy, into another."
Sex transmutation is simple and easily explained. It means the switching of the mind
from thoughts of physical expression, to thoughts of some other nature.
The emotion of sex brings into being a state of mind. Because of ignorance on the subject,
this state of mind is generally associated with the physical, and because of improper
influences, to which most people have been subjected, in acquiring knowledge of sex,
things essentially physical have highly biased the mind.
Teach children the true nature and function of the emotion of sex, and above all, teach
them that it can be transmuted into a driving force capable of lifting one to great heights
of achievement.
Sex transmutation will lift one to the status of a genius.
The mere possession of this energy is not sufficient to produce a genius. The energy must
be transmuted from desire for physical contact, into some other form of desire and action,
before it will lift one to the status of a genius.
One major reason why the majority of men who succeed do not begin to do so before the
age of forty to fifty, is their tendency to DISSIPATE their energies through over indulgence in
physical expression of the emotion of sex. The majority of men never learn that the urge
of sex has other possibilities, which far transcend in importance, that of mere physical
expression. The majority of those who make this discovery, do so after having wasted many
years at a period when the sex energy is at its height, prior to the age of forty-five to fifty.
The desire for sexual expression is by far the strongest and most impelling of all the human
emotions, and for this very reason this desire, when harnessed and transmuted into action,
other than that of physical expression, may raise one to the status of a genius.
Do you mean, by your statement, that one should not indulge the desire
for sex?
No, I mean that sex, like all other forces available to man, should be understood,
mastered, and made to serve man. The desire for sex expression is as natural as the
desire for food. The desire can no more be killed than one can entirely stop a river
from flowing. If the emotion of sex is shut off from the natural mode of expression,
it will break out in some other less desirable form, just as a river will, if dammed,
break through and flow around the dam. The person who has self-discipline
understands the emotion of sex, respects it, and learns to control and transmute it
into constructive activities.

into a world leader in telecommunications. Widely considered a visionary and a genius,
To trace why he’s so creative and so energetic, it’s known that Jobs is an adept

Steve Jobs is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of our time, and his legend
continues to live on through Apple. He was known for his commitment to excellence,
passion, and high standards for himself and everyone around him.
In the book: The Bite in the Apple — a memoir written by Chrisann Brennan who
was Steve Jobs’ girlfriend at a point.
Here’s what she said about Steve Jobs and Semen retention :
“Our birth control method up to that point was Steve’s coitus interruptus (semen
retention), also called the pull-out method, which for him was about his
conserving his energy for work. Not reaching climax is a practice from the eastern
traditions of India and Japan that is passed between teacher and male student for
the purpose of building focus and power—presumably for spiritual growth. But it
is also a practice taught in the 1937 motivational book inspired by Andrew
Carnegie, Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, which speaks to building power
and wealth by conserving one’s vital energies. I knew that coitus interruptus was a
bogus form of birth control, but until then I’d suspended my better judgment and
watched my cycles.”
“ Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped
by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the
noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important,
have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know
what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary,”
“ You can’t connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking
backwards. So you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.
You have to trust in something—your gut, destiny, life, karma, whatever.
This approach has never let me down, and it has made all the difference in my life.”
“ Being the richest man in the cemetery doesn’t matter to me. Going to bed at night
saying we’ve done something wonderful...that’s what matters to me. ”

people look forward to coming to work in the morning and enjoy working.”

9 ) Muhammad Ali
born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr ;( January 17, 1942 – June 3, 2016) was an
American professional boxer and activist. Nicknamed "The Greatest", he
is regarded as one of the most significant sports figures of the 20th
century, and is frequently ranked as the greatest heavyweight boxer of
all time. In 1999, he was named Sportsman of the Century by Sports
Illustrated and the Sports Personality of the Century by the BBC.
And it’s common knowledge that Muhammad Ali goes for up to 2 months without
ejaculation when preparing for a fight.
Ali is arguably the greatest fighter that the world has ever seen.
Muhammad Ali achieved renown as a boxer through his speed, superb footwork,
ability to take a punch, and tremendous courage.but the quality of his opponents and
his overwhelming success during his prime placed him among boxing’s immortals.
He believed that retaining his sexual energy can give him the energy and the
“There’s a kid just come down here named Cassius Clay (Muhammad Ali). If you
bet on him every time he fights, you’ll be a rich man, ‘cause he won’t lose a single
fight. I believe his thing is sexual control. And he’s got it. . . Any kid who can
control [it] can win the title. I believe it.”
10 ) Mike Tyson
Michael Gerard Tyson (born June 30, 1966) is an American former professional boxer
who competed from 1985 to 2005. Nicknamed "Iron Mike" and "Kid Dynamite" in his
early career, and later known as "The Baddest Man on the Planet",
Tyson was known for his ferocious and intimidating boxing style
With a knockout-to-win percentage of 88%,he was ranked 16th on The Ring magazine's
list of 100 greatest punchers of all time, and first on ESPN's list of "The Hardest Hitters
in Heavyweight History".
He reigned as the undisputed world heavyweight champion from 1987 to 1990.
His sexual energy helped him become the youngest and best heavyweight boxer
in the world.
" I never knew that conquering so many women takes so much from you more than adds
so much to you. I always read that the great fighters never had sex before fights and
I was a young kid and I wanted to be the youngest heavyweight champion in the world,
so I restrained myself from sex for around five years.”
“ Yes Not because it totally helped me because others great fighters did it
And I wanted to be able to be like them , if they can do it and it made them great.
I have to do that too . ”
11 ) David Haye
Great boxer that used semen retention to harness energy, tension, and
aggression is David Haye
When asked about where he gets the drive that made him the greatest boxer of
his time, David attributed the success to his ability to practice semen retention.
“I don’t [climax] for six weeks before the fight. . . It releases too much tension. It
releases a lot of minerals and nutrients that your body needs, and it releases them
cheaply. Releasing weakens the knees and your legs. Find a lion that hasn’t had
some food for a while, and you’ve got a dangerous cat. So there won’t be a drip
from me. Even in my sleep — if there are girls all over me in my dream, I say to
them, “I’ve got a fight next week, I can’t do anything. I can’t do it.” That’s control.
I’ve been doing that since I was fifteen and it’s part and parcel of my preparation
now. That’s why I am who I am today — it’s down to all those little sacrifices. Find
me another boxer who makes that sacrifice, and you’ll find another champion.”
12 ) Manny Pacquiao
(born December 17, 1978) is a Filipino politician and former professional boxer.
Nicknamed "PacMan", he is regarded as one of the greatest professional boxers
of all time.
He previously served as a Senator of the Philippines from 2016 to 2022.
Pacquiao is the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing and
has won twelve major world titles. He was the first boxer to win the lineal
championship in five different weight classes, the first boxer to win major world
titles in four of the eight "glamour divisions"
(flyweight, featherweight, lightweight, and welterweight), and is the only boxer
to hold world championships across four decades (1990s, 2000s, 2010s, and
2020s).
Manny Pacquiao believes in harnessing the power of his sexual energy through
semen retention that he has a ‘no wife’ policy in the weeks leading up to his fight.
“We’ve talked to doctors about it. Sex lowers your testosterone, so you’re not as
mean. Most boxers abstain for a week or more before a bout. I ask my guys for 10
days. Of course, Pacquiao beats the others even when it comes to abstinence. He
stays chaste for 21 days before a bout, husbanding his energies for post-fight
festivities.”
13 ) Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson
50 Cent has sold over 30 million albums worldwide and won several awards,
Including a Grammy Award, a Primetime Emmy Award, thirteen Billboard
Music Awards, six World Music Awards, three American Music Awards and
four BET Awards .
In 2012 , he openly came on Twitter one day and advised guys to stop
masturbating. And he even gave simple steps to help you stop masturbation:
Masturbation is a sin you stop right now fool!!! Lol. God is watching you!
— 50cent (@50cent) September 26, 2012
Once, he was asked where he gets his energy and his drive from, he replied:
“I have, like, nuclear power, like a superhero, like Cyclops when he puts his glasses
on. . . People ask me a lot about my drive. I think it comes from, like, having a
sexual addiction at a really young age. Look at the drive that people have to get
sex—to dress like this and get a haircut and be in the club in the freezing cold at 3
a.m., the places they go to pick up a girl. If you can focus the energy into
something valuable, put that into work ethic. . .”
In an interview with Zane Lowe, he opened up about his addiction to porn and the
“Like for me, Playboy was my gateway into full-on pornography addiction. My dad
had a Playboy left out at age 5 and it’s affected almost every choice I made for the
rest of my life. From age five till now having to kick the habit.”
“And it just presents itself in the open like it’s okay and I stand up and say, ‘No, it’s
not okay.’”
15 ) Sigmund Freud
Sigmund Freud believed that masturbation caused anxiety. He also believed that
sexual activity doesn’t mix with achieving great work.
So, at the age of 40, he told his wife that he wanted to take a path of celibacy
(and no masturbation) so that he can achieve great things in the field of
psychology.
"Prana is the purifying fire that cleans the scoria which plugs the nadis. The veils
of Rajas [passion] and Tamas [darkness] are dissipated with the sexual
transmutation in Pranayama. The mind of the student is prepared for Dharana,
Dhyana, and Samadhi with the practice of Pranayama. The disciple should
practice Pranayama ten minutes daily. The disciple should drink a glass of milk or
eat any light food after he finishes the practice. The disciples can also practice
while standing firm on their feet. The disciple should slowly inhale and exhale
with his mind very well concentrated in his practice of Pranayama."
"Prana is the Great Breath. It is the Cosmic Christ. Prana is the life that palpitates
within every atom, as it palpitates in every sun. Fire burns because of Prana.
Water flows because of Prana. Wind blows because of Prana. The sun exists
because of Prana; the life we have is Prana. Nothing can exist in the Universe
without Prana. It is impossible for the most insignificant insect to be born, or for
the smallest flower to bloom without Prana. Prana exists in the food that we eat,
in the air that we breathe, and in the water that we drink. Prana exists within
everything. When seminal energy is refined and totally transformed, the nervous
system is provided with the richest type of Prana. This rich Prana is deposited
within the brain in the form of pure Christic energy, the Wine of Light. An intimate
connection exists between the mind, the Prana and the semen. We can gain
dominion over the mind and Prana by controlling the seminal energy with the
force of willpower. Those people who spill the semen can never gain control over
their mind, let alone Prana. Their efforts to gain control over their mind and over
Prana will undoubtedly fail. People who gain sexual control, also gain control of
their minds and control of their Prana. These types of human beings reach true
liberation."
That is the most potent way to do it but it will demand a certain dimension of
discipline and focus, which your regular lives will not allow. If you do that kind of
yoga, it will dismantle your outside life instantly .
So many people have lost their mental balance and physical capabilities because
they tried to do Kundalini Yoga without the necessary guidance and assistance. )
In classical yogic traditions, there is a certain type of yoga for people who live in
family situations. There is a certain other type of yoga for ascetics.
Hatha Yoga asanas are considered to be among the easiest and safest
Sir Isaac Newton (25 December 1642 – 20 March 1726/27) was an English mathematician,
physicist, astronomer, alchemist, theologian, and author (described in his time as
a "natural philosopher"), widely recognised as one of the greatest mathematicians and
physicist and among the most influential scientistsof all time. He was a key figure in the
philosophical revolution known as the Enlightenment.
Isaac Newton was the greatest English mathematician of his generation.
Isaac Newton is famous for his discovery of gravity and his description of
the three laws of motion, however, this English scientist and mathematician
did even more to advance science and math.
Apart from discovering the cause of the fall of an apple from a tree, that is,
the laws of gravity, Sir Isaac Newton was perhaps one of the most brilliant
and greatest physicists of all time.
He laid the foundation for differential and integral calculus. His work on optics
and gravitation make him one of the greatest scientists the world has known.
He said “ The way to chastity is not to struggle directly with incontinent thoughts,
but to avert your thoughts with some other employment, by reading or
meditating on other things, or by converse, for he who is always thinking of
chastity will always be thinking of women.”
18) Pythagoras
The ancient Greek philosopher was credited with many mathematical and
scientific discoveries and was the man behind Pythagorean theorem.
The other famous Greek philosophers such as Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle, also
shared similar views on sexuality.
19) Prince (musician)
Prince Rogers Nelson (June 7, 1958 – April 21, 2016), more commonly
known mononymously as Prince, was an American singer-songwriter, musician,
and record producer. The recipient of numerous awards and nominations, he is
widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of his generation. He was
known for his flamboyant, androgynous persona; his wide vocal range, which
included a far-reaching falsetto and high-pitched screams; and his skill as a
multi- instrumentalist, often preferring to play all or most of the instruments on
his recordings. Prince produced his albums himself, pioneering the Minneapolis
sound. His music incorporated a wide variety of styles,
including funk, R&B, rock, new wave, soul, synth-pop, pop, jazz, and hip hop.
"Yeah, I'm celibate. Well, it's all physical; all of that then turns into other things.
Libido is energy. I go back and forth. It's like fasting: it's a practice and you get
better at it over time, you know, but no one is perfect … With fasting, after four
days, you don't want food anymore. You've got this thing that says ‘feed me, feed
me,’ and then when it realizes it's not going to get fed, it goes away."
20) Miles Davis
Miles Dewey Davis III (May 26, 1926 – September 28, 1991) was an
American trumpeter, bandleader, and composer. He is among the most
influential and acclaimed figures in the history of jazz and 20th-century music.
Davis adopted a variety of musical directions in a five-decade career that kept
him at the forefront of many major stylistic developments in jazz.
“You can't come [cum], then fight or play. You can't do it. When I get ready to
come, I come. But I do not come and play (jazz). You give up all your energy when
you come. I mean, you give up all of it!”
21) Winston Churchill
Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill (30 November 1874 – 24 January 1965) was a
British statesman, soldier, and writer who served as Prime Minister of the United
Kingdom twice, from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War, and again from
1951 to 1955. Apart from two years between 1922 and 1924, he was a Member of
Parliament (MP) from 1900 to 1964 and represented a total of five constituencies.
Britain’s most famous Prime Minister and acclaimed writer (winner of Nobel Prize in
Literature) exclaimed that “The reason that I can write so much is that I don't waste
my essence(semen) in the bedroom."
22) Sarvesh shashi
Sarvesh Shashi is the brain behind SARVA, a consumer health platform built on the authentic
foundations of yoga to solve 6 primary health goals. Having seen the benefits of yoga and
mindfulness first hand since the age of 6, Sarvesh wanted to help others in their quest for a
healthier lifestyle. He started SARVA when he was 21 with a vision to connect seven billion
breaths.
Sarvesh wants to make yoga-based wellness a part of the modern lifestyle, to combat global
epidemics like stress, anxiety, depression, sleeplessness, and obesity.
Sarvesh describes his life in two parts. A life he had before he was 17 which he describes by
the 4A’s (Anger, Anxiety, Arrogance and Attitude) and a life after 17. The story after 17 is one

Brahmacharya – Student
A time of education in preparation for family life, a profession, for religious duties
or other responsibilities
The first stage of life focuses on celibacy, study and respect.
The word brahmacharya is composed of two Sanskrit words: Brahman and
acharanam, together they translate as 'practice that directs us to the knowledge
of Brahman '.
which promotes disciplines like celibacy, study and respect.
Relevance today
Gender attraction is a major distraction during the student stage of life and a celibate
lifestyle is the best way to counter this challenge. The ideals of celibacy and showing
respect for teachers may be outdated but modern educationalists are now beginning
to recognise their true importance and are seeking to reinstall them into modern
teaching methods.
NEED FOR CELIBACY
What do we see these days? Boys and girls, men and women are drowned in the
ocean of impure thoughts, lustful desires and little sensual pleasures. Why do you
lose the energy that has taken many weeks and months to gain forthe sake of a
little, momentary sensual pleasure?
5. Because of practicing celibacy one can endowed the whole life with
strength,complexion, and continuous growth.
9. By practicing celibacy, one can get to know about own self energy (Atma virya).
10. It decreases the bad qualities in a person like anger, pride, deceit and greed.
11. It helps in keeping different vows and commitments in life.
15. One can get indriya jaya (conquer over senses) through practicing celibacy
Even Lord Krishna was forced to threaten the use of weapons against Bhishma.
In Mahabharata Bishma Pitamah was so powerful and menacing that he almost made Lord
Krishna break his promise of not participating in the war .
Bhishma was the greatest central character of Mahabharata. Having a boon of choosing the
time of his death, he was close to immortal. As a warrior also, he was formidable. He was
one of the greatest warriors of the entire Indian epic history.
How Bhisma Pitama Conquered Death through Brahmacharya
The seed of life (semen) that is in a man if he’s willing to transform this into a tremendous
possibility can make that man incredibly powerful ,Not in terms of physical strength but into
a Person of tremendous will power and Great Possibility.
“You might have heard especially in INDIA that at various times people say that we cannot
fight with a HIM because he’s a brahmachari, this doesn’t mean that he is just willing to die
just that”
NO!, it is Just that they can not kill him because every seed in his body is transformed into a
fresh life and the nature of his life is so big that it is no more as mortal life is generally .
So it is from this context it is being said that Bhishma (One of the most powerful warrior in
the battle of Mahabharata) had the power to choose his time of Death.
Not because he just took the a vow and deny himself something, Instead he made use of this
opportunity to transform the seed within himself into a life force through which he almost
became mortal by choice.
which is partially as good as immortality because Immortality can only happen to you if
you’re cursed.
IMMORTALITY IS A CURSE
~ Sadhguru
Respected and loved by all he was able to defeat even the great Parsuram. A whole life full
of sacrifice and he lived to see his kingdom safe and prosper.
He is also one of the most prominent and revered figures in Hindu mythology, best known
for his unwavering loyalty and devotion to his family and kingdom.
Indian mythology often brings us stories that are not only educative, but are also relevant
through time, in each and every era. Such is the tale of Bhishma Pitamah, the Grand Old
Man of the epic Mahabharata. His life is a veritable example of selfless service, loyalty
and paropakara (sacrificing his own life for others' benefit).
In the Mahabharata, Bhishma was the eighth son of the Kuru King Shantanu who was the
ruler of Hastinapura and Mother Goddess Ganga. Well known for his Bhishma Pratigya or
pledge of lifelong celibacy, he was one of the very few characters in Indian mythology to be
blessed with icchamrityu or the ability to decide his time of death at will. An unparalleled
archer and warrior of his time, his strength was considered to be equal to that of 4 maharathi
warriors. The great Bhishma, the grandfather of the Pandavas and the Kauravas, conquered
death by Brahmacharya.
So devoted was he to Lord Vishnu, that he handed down the Vishnu Sahasranama (1000
names of Vishnu) to Yudhishthira even when he was spending his last days on his
Sharashaiya (bed of arrows), during the Great Battle of Kurukshetra.
Etymology
The word "Bhishma" in Sanskrit means the "One who undertakes a terrible vow and also
fulfills it". Bhishma was famous for his Bhishma Pratigya or vow of remaining a celibate
lifelong (Brahmachari ) .
Bhishma was very firm, in his principles. He was absolutely free from the slightest tinge of
selfishness. He was an embodiment of self-denial and self-sacrifice. His power of endurance
and patience in all the difficult trials he met with, were marvellous and unprecedented.
He was matchless in fortitude and courage. All men honoured him. All the Kshatriya chiefs
paid their homage to him. He was a mighty Yogi and a sage. He was above body
consciousness. He rested in his own Satchidananda Svarupa. That is the reason why he was
peaceful and serene even though he was pierced by sharp arrows all over his body. Lying on
the bed of sharp arrows which was as soft as a bed of flowers to him, he gave wonderful
discourses on political, philosophical, religious, social and moral subjects to Yudhishthira.
Have you ever heard of anyone, save Bhishma, in the history of the world, who was able to
give lofty and sublime discourses on his deathbed? Bhishma laid his life for others. He lived
to serve and elevate others. The noble life led by the high-souled Bhishma of mighty
will-force still inspires sterling virtues in those who study his discourses in the Santi Parva.
Bhishma died long, long ago, but his voice in the Santi Parva and his ideal and exalted life
awaken slumbering people to action, righteousness, duty and enquiry, rigorous Tapas and
meditation, to this day.
Glory to Bhishma, whose exemplary life of Brahmacharya inspires our hearts even today
and elevates our minds to magnanimous heights of divine glory and splendour.
One of the main heroes in the Mahabharata, Bhishma Pitamah, is renowned for his
intelligence, knowledge, and morals. Below are some of his well-known quotes along with
the Sanskrit verse number and book title:
1. "The secret of happiness is to accept where you are in life and make the most out of
everyday" (Mahabharata, Anushasana Parva 113.8)
2. "A wise man should never take an oath that he cannot fulfill, or promise a gift that he
cannot give" (Mahabharata, Shanti Parva 109.12)
3. "The man who speaks the truth is always righteous, even if he suffers pain and loss by
doing so" (Mahabharata, Shanti Parva 178.16)
4. "The real power lies in knowledge, not in physical strength or wealth" (Mahabharata,
Shanti Parva 65.13)
5. "The true measure of a man's character is in his ability to forgive" (Mahabharata,
Anushasana Parva 98.8)
6. "One should not hate anyone, even an enemy. Hatred only brings misery and suffering"
(Mahabharata, Shanti Parva 52.10)
7. "The greatest wealth is the wealth of wisdom, and the greatest poverty is the poverty of
ignorance" (Mahabharata, Shanti Parva 148.14)
These are only a handful of instances of Bhishma Pitamah's sage advice and lessons from the
Mahabharata. There are many more motivational sayings and verses scattered throughout the
epic The Mahabharata, which is filled with a wide variety of heroes, events, and truths.
Divine weapons were invoked by Two great warriors - Lord Parshurama and Mahamahim
Bhishma during their fight .
He was a skilled warrior and an expert in the use of all weapons, including the bow, the sword,
and the mace.
He was also trained in the use of divine weapons, such as the Brahmastra, which is considered
the one of the most powerful weapon in Hindu mythology.
Bhishma learnt much of his warfare from Lord Parashurama, who was considered an
incarnation of Mahavishnu.
The stalemate in a battle between Bhishma and Parshurama – teacher and disciple
As per the epic, Amba earlier reached Parshurama and requested him to teach Bhishma
a lesson. Parshurama, who also was the teacher of Bhishma, decided to fight him in order
to have justice for Amba. The fight ensued for a long time and nobody could be beaten.
The reason, Parshurama was Akhand Chiranjeevi, which means one who could not die and
Bhishma had a boon from his father, Shantanu, that he would be able to choose the time of
his death.
Power of Bhishma Pitamah: - Most powerful warrior of Mahabharata
1. Immortality: Bhishma was granted the boon of choosing his own time of death. As a
result, he had the power to control the moment of his passing, which made him virtually
immortal on the battlefield until he chose to leave his mortal body.
3. Expertise in Weapons: Bhishma was a master of various weapons, including swords, bows
and arrows, maces, and more. He had extensive knowledge of warfare techniques and
battle strategies.
4. Divine Blessings: Bhishma was a recipient of divine blessings from gods such as Lord Shiva,
Lord Vishnu, and Goddess Saraswati. These blessings enhanced his prowess and made
him invincible in battle.
5. Vow of Celibacy: Bhishma had taken a vow of celibacy, which bestowed him with divine
powers. His celibacy granted him exceptional control over his senses and emotions,
enabling him to focus solely on his duties as a warrior.
6. Indestructibility: Bhishma had a divine boon that made him nearly invincible in battle.
He could choose his own time of death, and until then, he could not be killed by any
mortal weapon or in regular combat.
7. Wisdom and Knowledge: Bhishma was known for his immense wisdom and knowledge.
He was a scholar and had studied various scriptures and disciplines, making him a
respected advisor and strategist.
8. Unmatched Archery Skills: Bhishma was unparalleled in archery and was considered one
of the greatest archers of his time. His accuracy, precision, and speed in shooting arrows
were extraordinary.
Overall, Bhishma Pitamah's power and abilities were legendary. He was a formidable
warrior, possessing incredible physical strength, divine blessings, exceptional combat skills,
and immense wisdom. His character in the Mahabharata is revered for his unwavering
commitment to righteousness and his pivotal role in the epic tale.
And Bheeshma the celibate is the ideal character, come along with Sri Krishna to assist Him
in the cosmic work and to show in himself, what an ideal man ought to be.
Bheeshma came into world not in search of any- thing as the ordinary Jivas do. He came
fully endowed with everything sacred and secular. The purpose of his coming was to serve
and not to seek. The parents, public, brothers and grandchildren, righteous and the
wicked-all received his help according to their worth and deserts. While giving liberally, the
idea of giver was not in him, for ego pollutes charity. He was ever free from every shade of
selfishness and was always shining in service.
That is his spiritual attainment and that is Dharma. Therefore, his life is an explanation of
Dharma. Rather, Dharma reveals itself in him. It is Dharma that has its roots in selflessness,
growth in love of humanity and the fruit in service and Bliss.
Bheeshma is a rare and successful combination of the three - hand, heart, and head, a man
of strength, devotion and wisdom. His life on earth may be divided into four phases with
the underlying equanimity all through.
He has been all active until Yudhishthira is made the crown prince. His complete stoicism
and silence to the developments of the events till the Mahabharata war can he considered
the second part. His display of valour and chivalrous participation in the war with
equanimity at heart are the third phase.
His discourse on Dharma in Santi and Anusasana Parvas is the matchless wisdom that he
bequeathes to posterity is the fourth, which is the fruition of life. And in the fifth he merges
with the Source.
In the epic, Bheeshma is next only to Sri Krishna in many respects. In spite of Sri Krishna's
grace, Pandavas suffered a lot. Despite Bheeshma's help, Duryodhana was defeated and
killed. Both Pandavas and Kauravas received Sri Krishna's help according to their deserts.
Similarly Panda vas received Bheeshma's wisdom and Kauravas got his valeur. If Sri Krishna
has dispelled the despondency of Arjuna, Bheeshma has driven away the despair of
Yudhishthira. If Bhagavad Gita is Sri Krishna's boon to society, Santi and Anusasana Parvas
are the gift of Bheeshma to humanity. If the war is preceded by Sri Krishna's Gita, it is
succeeded by Bheeshma's Santi and Anusasana Parvas. If Sri Krishna has declared in Gita
that he is the all consuming Kala, Bheeshma has displayed his Kalaswaroopa in the battle
and has been instrumental in the destruction of many. If Sri Krishna's is the word,
Bheeshma's is the deed. If Sri Krishna's is the plan of destruction, Bheeshma's is the
execution of destruction. If Sri Krishna's is the Upanishad, Bheeshma's is the commentary.
While Sri Siva Sahasranama is Sri Krishna's contribution, Sri Vishnu Sahasranama is
Bheeshma's contribution to Bhakti literature.
The way of Bheeshma is like that of Siva. ,If Siva hag reduced Manmatha to ashes,
Bheeshma has burnt lust and cremated desire in the fire of celibacy and sacrifice, If Siva
is a Tapasvi in a Samsara, Bheeshma is a yati in royal robes, hermit in the palace and'a
recluse in the capital. And finally while churning the ocean of milk the world helped itself
to all the bounties forthcoming from it, but when death the poison came, it ran to Siva for
help. In order to save the world, Siva consumed poison. Likewise, Bheeshma willingly
accepted the bed of arrows for having served the world. Bed of roses was always at his
disposal. But he denied himself of it for the welfare of others. He is Siva, embodied as the
human in the act of self- sacrifice, which is for the good of the world.
The Mahābhārata is one of the two major Sanskrit epics of ancient India in Hinduism, the
other being the Rāmāyaṇa. It narrates the struggle between two groups of cousins in the
Kurukshetra War and the fates of the Kaurava and the Pāṇḍava princes and their successors.
The sponsoring direction behind all these subtleties and their expressions on the arena of
action is that of the ageless Paramatma embodied as Sri Krishna.
Lord Krishna was a Gnani (embodiment of Self-knowledge). He became enlightened.
He became a Gnani Purush (Narayan) from an ordinary human being (nara).”
He is the god of protection, compassion, tenderness, and love; and is one of the most
popular and widely revered among Hinduism divinities.
The name Krishna means "all-pervading", which refers to Lord Krishna's status as the
supreme being. He is also known as Bhagavan (the benevolent one).
Krishna is an incarnation of Lord Vishnu, who is considered to be the preserver and protector
of this world. In addition to being a part of creation, he also has many other roles in society
such as teacher, friend and husband.
As and when the Paramatma chooses to come on earth in an incarnation, there will be
simultaneously an exemplary character brought along with, to be a model to humanity,
When Sri Rama, the incarnation of Divinity came on earth, "He brought Sri Anjaneya a
model, worthy of emulation.
“ He is a perfect brahmachari ”
Lord Hanuman is called Bajrang Bali because of his immense strength and power.
The world has not yet seen, and will not see in the future also, a mighty hero like Sri
Hanuman. During his lifetime he worked wonders and exhibited superhuman feats of
strength and valour. He has left behind him a name which, as long as the world lasts,
will continue to wield a mighty influence over the minds of millions of people.
Hanuman is one of the seven Chiranjivis. He is the only learned scholar who knows the
nine Vyakaranas or sciences of granunar. He learnt the Sastras from the sun-god. He is the
personification of Brahmacharya. He is the wisest of the wise, the strongest of the strong
and the bravest of the brave. He is the Sakti or energy of Rudra. He who meditates on
Hanuman and repeats his name attains power, strength, glory, prosperity and success in
life. Hanuman is worshipped in all parts of India, particularly in Maharashtra.
Hanuman had the power to assume any form he liked, to swell his body to an enormous
extent and to reduce it to the length of a thumb-nail. His strength was superhuman. He
was the terror of the Rakshasas or demons. He was well-versed in the four Vedas and
other sacred book’s. His valour, wisdom, knowledge of the scriptures and superhuman
strength attracted everybody who came near him. He had extraordinary skill in warfare.
Hanuman was the chosen messenger, warrior and servant of Sri Rama. He was a votary
and devotee of Lord Rama. Rama was his all-in-all. He lived to serve Rama. He lived in
Rama. He lived for Rama. He was a minister and intimate friend of Sugriva.
A Rishi pronounced a curse on. Hanuman for his wrong action that he would remain
unconscious of his great strength and prowess till he met Sri Rama and served Him with
devotion. Hanuman saw Sri Rama for the first time in Kishkinda. Sri Rama and Lakshmana
came there in the course of their search for Sita whom Ravana had carried away. As soon
as Hanuman beheld Sri Rama, he became quite conscious of his own strength and power.
Hanuman burnt the whole of Lanka and brought news of Sita to Rama. In the great war
between Rama and Ravana, Hanuman killed many heroes of the Rakshasa army. He did
many superhuman acts. Carrying a big mountain and other great activities were nothing
for Hanuman. All those were due to the power of Brahmacharya.
When the great war was over, Vibhishana was installed on the throne of Lanka. The time
of banishment was over. Sri Rama, Lakshmana, Sita and Hanuman sat on the Pushpaka
Vimana or aeroplane and reached Ayodhya in time. The coronation ceremony of Lord Rama
was celebrated with great eclat and pomp. Sita presented a necklace of pearls to Hanuman.
Glory to Hanuman, the blessed devotee of Lord Rama. Glory, glory to Sri Anjaneya, the
mighty hero, undaunted warrior and learned Brahmachari, the like of whom the world
has not yet seen and will not see in all time to come.
He was well versed in all the Hindu texts including Vedas, Tantra and so on. Tantriks believe
Lord Hanuman was mighty accomplished in this field as the Lord had had supremacy in eight
occult powers, those being:
In the Mahabharata period, Pandu and Kunti son Bhima have also been called as brother of
Hanuman Ji.
It is hardly unbelievable with the agility and strength Lord Hanuman poses to acknowledge
the fact that the Lord was a Yogi. He was the inventor of Surya Namaskar (sun salutation)
which was a way of greeting his teacher, Surya Devta.
Hanuman also invented an idea for the Surya Namaskara (salutation in the direction of the
Sun / salutation to the sun ) to express his gratitude to his teacher Suryadev (Sun God).
Surya Namaskar is a significant yoga practice that was first introduced during the Vedic
period. At that time, Suryopasana was performed as an extremely powerful symbol for
spiritual awakening.
Pranayama is the ability to control one's breath. Vayu, the god of air and wind, first taught
pranayama to his son Hanuman. And the Lord was the first to teach Pranayama to the
mankind.
Hanuman is one of the most popular deities in India. He is pictured with Rama and Laksmana,
whom he helps in the Ramayana with the "big leap to the Himalayas to bring back the healing
herb from the Medicine Mountain to save Lakshman's life. he wrapped his arms around the
whole mountain, pulled it out of the ground and lifted it onto the palms of his hand. He then
flew with the mountain back to Lanka. The healing herb was picked and given to Lakshman
Lakshman was healed and filled with energy.
If yoga is the ability to control one's mind then Hanuman is the quintessential yogi having a
perfect mastery over his senses, achieved through a disciplined lifestyle.
He is also a perfect karma yogi since he performs his actions with detachment, acting as an
instrument of destiny rather than being impelled by any selfish motive.
He's also the 1st PRANA DEV and the first YOGA TEACHER as PRANA MANAGEMENT.
Pranayama is the ability to control one's breath so that the inhalation and exhalation of air is
rhythmic.
Prana is not just the breath but the energy. And breathing is the process by which you apply
that energy to find out how deep that energy penetrates and percolates, how divine that
energy is, how much purification of that energy is possible. How you can really explore that
energy. We have hidden energy inside. The energy has to come up. It also serves the Purusha
in different ways. And that is what Patanjali's Yoga Sutras say - in the Vibhutu Pada- that you
can get control over the different channels of energy. They are connected with the five
elements and unless the Prana unites these five elements, the nectar from the five elements
won't come up. Each element has got its own strength, its own energy. When Prana gets
united, this energy comes upward. That is how Hanuman served Rama and Sita, Purusha
and Prakrti, through his energy, through his own potency, the ENERGY WE ALL HAVE
Lord Hanuman is immortal
In Hindu texts there is mention of eight Chiranjivis (immortal beings) and Lord Hanuman is
one of them. It is said that he will walk this earth chanting Shree Ram’s name and stories
until the end of Kaliyuga.
Lord Lakshmana
Sri Lakshmana, the son of Dasaratha by his second queen Sumitra, was the younger brother
of Sri Rama and his loyalist in the Hindu epic Ramayana. He was an Avatara of Adisesha.
He was the constant companion of Rama both in pleasure and in pain. Rama and Lakshmana
lived, dined, played and studied together. One could not bear the separation of the other.
Lakshmana was a loving servant also of Sri Rama. He carried out Sri Rama’s commands to
the very letter. He lived in perfect obedience to Sri Rama.
Lakshmana had pure and untainted brotherly love. His object of life was service to his elder
brother. Obedience to the commands of his brother was the motto of his life. He would not
do anything without getting Rama’s permission. He regarded Sri Rama as his God, Guru,
father and mother. He followed Rama as a shadow.
He was quite unselfish at heart. He abandoned all the comforts of a royal life willingly only
for the company of his brother. He served Rama’s cause in all possible ways. He made
Rama’s cause his own. He sacrificed every personal consideration on the altar of brotherly
love. Sri Rama was his all-in-all. Lakshmana could relinquish anything, his life even, for the
sake of Rama. He abandoned in a moment his mother, his wife and his royal comforts to
follow Sri Rama and Sita in exile. What a magnanimous soul! What a great Tyagi he was!
Here is an unprecedented example, in the history of the whole world, of a disinterested,
noble and devoted soul who lived only to serve his brother.
Lakshmana followed Sri Rama for the long period of fourteen years though he was perfectly
aware of the dangers of the forest. He accompanied Rama with his bow and arrow, though
his help was not required by Visvamitra. It was all due to his devotion and love towards his
brother Sri Rama.
Sri Rama also had intense love for Lakshmana. When Lakshmana fell down unconscious by
the fatal arrow of Meghanada, Rama’s heart was broken. He wept bitterly. He made a
determination not to revisit Ayodhya when he lost his dear brother. He said, “A wife like
Sita can be had, but a real devoted brother of the type of Lakshmana cannot be had again.
The world is nothing for me without my brother.”
Lakshmana was pure in thought, word and deed. He led the life of an ideal Brahmachari
during the fourteen years of exile. He never looked at the face or body of Sita. His eyes were
ever directed towards her lotus-like feet only. When Sugriva brought Sita’s cloak and jewels
–which, while she was being carried away, she had allowed to fall on the earth, seeing the
monkeys on the mountain–Rama showed them to Lakshmana and asked whether he
recognized them.
“ I do not recognise the bracelets or ear-rings; I know only the anklets, for I worshipped her
feet alone.” See how Lakshmana revered Sita as mother or Goddess.
Meghanada, the son of Ravana, had conquered even Indra, the lord of gods. By virtue of this
victory, Meghanada also came to be known as Indrajit. He had a boon of being invincible to
all except to one who could abstain from all sorts of sensual enjoyments at least for a full
fourteen years. He was unconquerable. But Lakshmana destroyed him by the power of his
purity, by the power of Brahmacharya.
It is only Lakshman, Brahmachari ( the ideal celibate) , who put down Meghanada, the man
of inestimable prowess, the conqueror of the three worlds, the son of Ravana. Even Lord
Rama could not face him. It is through the force of Brahmacharya that Lakshman was
able to defeat that invincible Meghanada.
Ramayana: The legend of Prince Rama
“ Ramayana has been one of the foundational narratives of this civilization. Rama has been
the fulcrum of the lives of millions for over 7,000 years. It is important to see that he is not
a religious figure. He cannot be claimed exclusively by any faith. Nor is there any point in
the story at which Rama ever proclaims himself a Hindu.
If Rama is a cultural and spiritual icon for this country, it is because he is an embodiment of
stability, balance, peace, truth, righteousness, compassion and justice. We revere him
because he embodies the qualities necessary to build a great civilization. If Mahatma Gandhi
drew on the Ramarajya metaphor during the Indian freedom struggle, it is because this great
founding myth is part of our DNA, deeply embedded in our collective psyches.
People worship Rama not because of the success in his life, but for the gracefulness with
which he conducted the most difficult moments.”
--Sadhguru
Lord Ram wants every body's welfare. That is why he is called 'Maryada Purushottam'
or the best of upholders of Dharma.
Maryada Purushottam
Maryada is meaning dignity, glory. He maintained the dignity in every field of human life.
Purushottam means purush plus uttam. Purush means human, uttam means the best.
Hence its meaning- the best in humans.
Though Mahatma Gandhi may have coined the term in its modern avatar, the concept of
‘Ram Rajya’ has been a part of Indian thinking for centuries.
Ram Raj meant to Gandhi Ji was the sovereignty of the people was based on pure moral
authority.
‘Ram Rajya’ envisages a society in which virtue, morality and justice are the core ideals
around which day-to-day interactions between citizen and citizen and state and citizen
occur.
A devout Hindu, Gandhi was greatly influenced by the teachings of the Ramayana.
Whether Rama of my imagination ever lived or not on this earth, the ancient ideal of
Ramarajya is undoubtedly one of true democracy in which the meanest citizen could be
sure of swift justice without an elaborate and costly procedure.
Even the dog is described by the poet to have received justice under Ramarajya.
The Ramayana, written by the sage Valmiki, narrates the extraordinary journey of Prince
Rama, his wife Sita, and their quest to overcome challenges, uphold righteousness, and
restore balance to the universe. It encompasses various facets of human nature, relationships,
and moral values.
The Ramayana is not just an ancient tale of heroism and adventure, but also a wellspring of
profound wisdom and life lessons.
Embedded within the Ramayana are timeless quotes that encapsulate profound wisdom
applicable to our everyday lives.
1. "Change Is The Law Of The Universe. You Can Be A Millionaire Or A Pauper In An Instant."
This quote reminds us of the transient nature of material wealth and possessions.
It teaches us to embrace change and not tether our happiness solely to
external circumstances.
Now that we have explored some inspiring Ramayana quotes, let's discuss how we can
incorporate their wisdom into our daily lives:
1. Practicing Detachment
As demonstrated by the quote on change, it is crucial to cultivate a mindset that is not overly
attached to external circumstances. By practicing detachment, we can find inner peace and
focus on personal growth.
2. Developing Self-Control
The quote on controlling the mind reminds us of the power and significance of self-control.
By mastering our thoughts and emotions, we can make sound decisions and overcome
challenges.
3. Prioritizing Virtue
The quote about true wealth reminds us that our character and actions define our true worth.
By prioritizing virtuous behavior and ethical choices, we can lead a fulfilling and meaningful life.
Conclusion
The Ramayana quotes offer profound insights into various aspects of life and can guide us on
our journey towards self-improvement and spiritual growth. By incorporating the wisdom
embedded in these quotes, we can navigate challenges with grace, find inner peace, and live a
purposeful life. Let us wholeheartedly embrace the wisdom of Ramayana and strive to apply it
in our daily lives.
4) Divine energy / Sexual energy transmutation
For example, sexual desire is associated with the root chakra (in your
reproductive organs) and your sacral chakra (in your kidneys).
All of the chakras are connected by the energy that runs through your entire
body, also known as kundalini. The root chakra – which, again, is tied to your
sexual energy – is the foundation of all this energy coursing through your body.
Transmutation of sexual energy was first introduced to the wider public through
Napoleon Hill, author of the book Think and Grow Rich, almost a hundred years
ago.
According to Think and Grow Rich, one of the keys to improving oneself (and
achieving all sorts of success) is tuning into your desire and transmuting sexual
energy into the rest of your life.
If you have a problem with motivation and willpower, your sexual energy is
leaking out of your root chakra instead of moving freely throughout your body.
When you transmute sexual energy, you take the energy in your root chakra and
bring it upwards into your other energy centers.
Transmuting your sexual energy, at its most potent form, involves abstaining from
all sexual activity or content, whether it is sex, masturbation or pornography and
harnessing this energy for other endeavours.
You must understand that transmuting sexual energy has nothing to do with
repressing or fighting this energy, which is unwise and not advisable. Trying to
repress this energy will only lead to frustration.
“A river may be dammed, and its water controlled for a time, but eventually it will
force an outlet. The same is true of the emotion of sex. If it is not transmuted into
some creative effort, it will find a less positive, less productive outlet.”
Channeling your sexual energy towards your goals and creative pursuits is the
key.
“The vital essence, or sexual fluid, contains a high concentration of prana. If not
dissipated, the power therein can be used to enhance physical health, mental
vitality, creativity, and spiritual development”.
- Paramahansa Yogananda
( Indian Hindu monk , yogi and guru , introduced millions to the teachings
of meditation and Kriya Yoga , Father of Yoga in the West )
The ancient Eastern cultures recognised a subtle invisible form of energy that
permeates all things in nature.
It was referred to as Prana in India, Chi by the Chinese culture and Ki by the
Japanese. In English, this is referred to as life-force energy.
Prana provides us with energy and nourishment and is present in the water we
drink, the food we eat, the air we breathe. In our body it is present in its most
concentrated form in men’s semen and women’s menstrual blood.
The Mystery Of Sex Transmutation / Sexual energy transmutation
In Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich, he talks about how “the mystery of sexual
transmutation” is an important step toward wealth. This may sound confusing at
first, because it's not obvious why sex – or even sexual energy – should have any
connection with manifestation potential. Let's break this idea down.
The central aim of sexual transmutation is to take your sexual energy and redirect
it towards whatever you want to manifest – your dream job, money, love, or
something else entirely.
When you feel like you have high levels of sexual energy, you can take that
sensitivity, that vibrancy, and channel it towards your goals instead of simply
releasing it into the world with no direction.
Think about how you feel when you're highly sexually motivated. Then compare it
to how you feel when you're inspired or highly creative, you'll notice the
similarities. Both states encourage you to vibrate on a frequency of abundance,
energizing you. It makes sense, then, that you would be able to move back and
forth between them with ease. With this idea in mind, we can now turn to look at
the practical steps you need to take to use sexual energy to manifest.
Each one of us has the power to cultivate sexual energy into creative energy
by using sexual transmutation techniques
We all make mistakes , focus on present and not on the past mistakes.

Unfailing power
1) Redirect your sexual desires, indulgence, and lust into your dream goals
10) Not only does conserving helps, but qualitative usage of it will help
Productivity or else it ( sex energy ) will release in unwanted forms like
anger or any other unwanted ways.
11 ) The maturity factor – the purpose must be either use it or lose it.
Motivation for Semen retention and Sexual energy transmutation
“ The greatest pleasure I've had is trying to do something, everybody says ‘could
not be done ”
- Ratan Tata
( Indian industrialist, investor, philanthropist, and former
chairman of Tata Sons - well-known industrialist who is
praised for his business ethics and philanthropy )
Just remember one thing “ Whatever gives instant reward has a cost in
the upcoming future and whatever doesn’t give instant reward will
benefit you in the long run.
Those who succumb to pressures and do what ’s immediately satisfying miss out
on later satisfication.
Ex : the people who did semen retention for years are living their dreams
and those who wasted are living a unsatisfying lives
Those who succumb to pressures and do what’s imediately satisfying miss out on
later satisfication i.e massive success in terms of health, wealth, relationships,
abundance and prosperity
Once you have learned, refined, and practiced sexual transmutation, you can
achieve incredible benefits, including:
Healing chronic fatigue and other illnesses associated with low physical
energy levels
As you can clearly see, the benefits of sex transmutation are not to be
underestimated. If you can master this art, the world is truly your oyster
5) DON’T be a LIMITED person ( don’t value negative people )
Unable to dream big and think big is the main cause behind youth failure.
If you are not able to think Big , DREAM BIG and you CAN’T have faith ,
That means you can’t ACHIEVE BIG .
Then it's finished. No one in this world will help you fulfill your desires and
lead the successful and prosperous lives you aspire to be.
“ Anything the human mind can believe, the human mind can achieve.
That is the Supreme Secret.... This is the secret known in bygone times;
this is the secret which governs present-day accomplishment; this is
the secret which will follow man to the stars. This is the secret of the ages.”
Nothing is impossible – most of the things worth doing in the world has
been declared IMPOSSIBLE before they were done.
will occur.”
-- Elon Musk
“Once you start a working on something, don’t be afraid of failure and don’t
abandon it. People who work sincerely are the happiest“. If we keep getting afraid
of failure, we will never progress in life. Our success lies beyond the comfort zone.
- CHANAKYA
( Ancient Indian polymath who was active as a teacher, author,
strategist, philosopher, economist, jurist, and royal advisor )
"FEAR is the tool of a man-made devil. Self-confident and faith in one's self
is both the man-made weapon which defeats this devil and the man-made
tool which builds a triumphant life. And it is more than that. It is a link to
the irresistible forces of the universe which stand behind a man who does
not believe in failure and defeat as being anything but temporary
experiences."
When you start something – things will not always go your way. You will have
challenges, limitations constantly bothering you.
Dream Big: Don’t let your fears compromise the ability to dream big. It is a waste
of time to play a mediocre game and limiting your dreams to protect your
emotions. Keep an open mind, say bring it on and fight for your passions.
Fear has killed many dreams, don’t let yours succumb to fear.
At every outcome, you are faced with a decision. A decision can be about what to
focus on, or it can be about whether to continue what you are doing
You can be afraid of failure and keep worrying about it day in and day out.
Or
you can accept that as an outcome, be aware of it and start trying to think of
avoiding it.
At each point, the single question is very important – What do I want? Is there an
alternative way of getting it?
There are many other ways to focus your direction and thoughts to make them
work for you. Step out of your stories, justifications and focus on failure. You
often get what you focus on! Make sure that you focus on your dreams rather
than fear and only challenges. They’re there for a reason – not to prevent you
from achieving your goals.
Think about what you can do about your fears
The choice can be debilitating questions like – why does this happen to me? Is my
luck so bad? Have I not prayed to the right gods?
Or, you can ask empowering questions – What can I do about this? How can I
make this better? What is this feedback trying to tell me?
After all, you are dealt with an outcome. You can decide to be afraid of failure and
stop everything you do.
OR
You can get up, dust yourself off and find ways to get to your goal. The choice is
ultimately yours. ”
“ One individual may die for an idea, but that idea will, after his death, incarnate
itself in a thousand lives.”
“ I have to fulfill a certain goal in life. I was born for that. I do not want to fall
in the stream of moral thoughts.”
“ Life loses half its interest if there is no struggle-if there are no risks to be
taken.”
“ Progress in life means that doubts keep arising and the process of trying to
solve them continues.”
“ Remember the eternal rule -: If you want to get something, you have to give
something.”
“ To be successful, you have to walk alone. People come with you when you
are successful.”
“ Whatever you do, it is your karma. There is no division of any kind in it. You
also have to bear the fruits of this.”
" We must have the courage to dare and endure."
" Victory or defeat is not important, but the fight itself is everything."
“ No real change in history has ever been achieved by discussions.”

Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose (23 January 1897 – 18 August 1945) is one of the most
celebrated freedom fighters of India.
Bose is credited with the very famous slogan, “Give me blood, and I shall give you
freedom!” as well as “Jai Hind”.
He is also credited to be the first man to call Mahatma Gandhi “Father of the Nation”, in
his address from Singapore.
Father of the Nation is an honorific title given to a man considered the driving force behind
the establishment of a nation.
Despite his strong differences with Mahatma Gandhi, Subhas Chandra Bose accepted the
supremacy of Gandhian political philosophy, programme and leadership
Despite a successful career in the Administrative Service, Bose quit his job to dedicate
himself to the freedom struggle.
THE BRAVEST OF THE BRAVE
In inspiring the masses, Netaji said, “It is only on the basis of undiluted Nationalism and of
perfect justice and impartiality that the Indian Army of Liberation can be built up.”
Azad Hind Fauz, as the INA was called, was a great example to Netaji’s strong leadership
qualities and organization abilities. While infusing courage into the hearts of his army men,
Netaji once said, “When we stand, the Azad Hind Fauz has to be like a wall of granite; when we
march, the Azad Hind Fauz has to be like a steamroller.”
Motivating the soldiers with the message of sacrifice, Netaji said, “Soldiers who always remain
faithful to their nation, who are always prepared to sacrifice their lives, are invincible.”
In all his messages, Netaji infused the importance of adhering to Truth and Justice. He always
believed that the means should also justify the end. For him, there is no point in adopting
untruthful and unjust routes even if the end is achieving a noble and worthy cause.
He said, “Reality is, after all, too big for our frail understanding to fully comprehend.
Nevertheless, we have to build our life on the theory which contains the maximum truth.”
Stressing on the importance of honesty and adherence to virtues, Netaji said, “Forget not that
the grossest crime is to compromise with injustice and wrong. Remember the eternal law: You
must give, if you want to get.”
In 1919, Bose headed to London to give the Indian Civil Services (ICS) examination and he
was selected. Bose, however, resigned from Civil Services as he believed he could not side
with the British.
Subhash Chandra Bose had revived the Indian National Army in 1943 after his daring trip to
Japan from India with the help of Rash Behari Bose. He had also established a provincial
government and was the commander-in-chief of the INA.
In 1942, he earned the title ‘Netaji’, in Germany by the Indian soldiers of the Azad Hind Fauj.
He was a very great and brave leader of the country, who was famous for his stringent struggle
in the name of Netaji. He worked very hard to make his country free. He was a fearless and
bold leader of our nation. To his soldiers, he gave the slogan “March to Delhi”.
Title Of 'Netaji'
In addition to "Netaji", Bose is also known as "Desh Nayak", a title given to him by
Rabindranath Tagore. It is said that Tagore bestowed this title upon him as a recognition of
his leadership and contributions to the Indian independence movement.
Netaji, who gave all his sweat and blood towards India’s freedom struggle.
We will honour him always.

Our thoughts make things beautiful , our thoughts make things ugly
There are things within your control and things outside your control. When
people or circumstances are outside of your control, it is important to not hold
them too tightly. Imbalanced responsibilities will make you unhappy. Accepting
the right level of responsibility will help you function within your limits.

"There is so much adventure that only a youth can experience. Youth is not the
time to languish in pleasure – youth is the time for exploration and adventure."
“The power of youth is the common wealth for the entire world.
Empowered youth can prove to be the greatest force that drives a nation
towards success and prosperity.
The power of the youth of any nation is an index that will define the
know-how of the future of that country. The skilled and the enthused
young people have the power to re-write the history, describe the future
references and make the best of the upcoming opportunities on
their way.
Young people are our leaders of tomorrow and will drive forward efforts to
create a more resilient future .
The youth is the present which will lead the future of country.
Youth is the golden time for every individual, it’s a time of passion, it’s the time
of energy, and it’s the time full of life-changing opportunities.
In this golden time, we don’t just hold the energy, we also hold the power to
transform all our dreams into reality. The ones who realize this have created
history at a very young age.
The power of youth is not about just doing something great. It is about showing
the potential that a person needs to achieve something. It is about doing the
things which are important and showing courage.
Swami Vivekananda once said,
“Whatever you think, that you will be. If you think yourselves weak, weak you will be;
if you think yourselves strong, strong you will be.”
Freedom can never be reached by the weak. Throw away all weakness.
Tell your body that it is strong, tell your mind that it is strong, and have unbounded
faith and hope in yourself.
He also said, “See for the highest, aim at that highest, and you shall reach the highest.”
He believed that youth is the foundation of a country and they are a great asset to any
nation as they are full of energy, enthusiasm and innovative ideas.
He called for channelising their energy in the right direction so that they can drive
the country on the path of progress.
“Everything is easy when you are busy. But nothing is easy when you are lazy.”
“ Take up an idea devote yourself, struggle in patience, and the sun will rise ”

do not believe that you are weak; do not believe that you are half-crazy lunatics,
as most of us do nowadays. You can do any thing and everything, without even

Online pornography may not have harmful effects by itself, only when it has
become an addiction it brings various mental issues. The key idea is that
anticipating and receiving gratification has to stop in bringing a foundation of

Having sex with a woman is one thing and jacking off is another. Not just by
how it actually looks and feels but how it affects our brain. Oxytocin is a
hormone that helps in building up the intimacy between two people. It is also
called “love hormone” or “cuddle hormone”.
It is believed that oxytocin is released in the body during hugging, skin contact
and having an orgasm. The brain views oxytocin as a reactive hormone that is
in response to social recognition and bonding. It helps to create trust between
people. Oxytocin is released almost four times as much when you’re having
sex as compared to a masturbation session.
That is not all. Masturbation lights up all the parts of the brain as drugs do. The
addictions are similar in nature and it affects the workings of the brain.

1 ) Eliminate distractions
2 ) Reduce multitasking
9 ) Exercise
10 ) Listen to music
11 ) Eat well
14 ) Use a timer
15 ) Switch tasks
It’s difficult for people to remain focused on one task for a variety of reasons. For one,
we live in a world where we are constantly bombarded with TV, radio, cell phones,
Internet social media, as well as a much larger population that lives closer together
than ever before.
Getting completely away from all these distractions can be challenging. One way is to
go to a room where you can shut your door and turn off your phone and email
notifications.
When you focus on a single task, avoiding distractions, your brain becomes
focused on that task alone. This lets you complete that task much more quickly
than if you are trying to complete two or more tasks at once. For instance, let’s
say you need to write a blog post, do your bookkeeping for the week and
research information for an upcoming speech. The best thing to do is to set aside
all but one task. So, for this example, you want to give all your attention writing
your blog post. That means turning off the TV, cell phones, social media pings,
closing your door and putting all your attention on writing.
By giving all your attention to the task without distraction, you can get it done
much more quickly and with fewer mistakes. Your work will be higher quality as
well. Another benefit to being focused is that your creativity will kick in too.
You’ll come up with new ideas associated with the task at hand.
This is great if you are someone who creates in some way. This includes traditional
creative types like artists, writers, photographers, designers and musicians, as well as
people who create products or services, teachers, researchers, stay-at-home parents,
executives, bloggers, and anyone who needs ideas. This means just about everyone can
benefit.
Being constantly connected to others and having many distractions that take
away your focus can affect your stress levels as well as your productivity. When
you aren’t focused, you don’t get as much done as you could if you were truly
focused on the task you’re doing.
Focusing on one thing for a certain period of time helps you think better. Having
your mind scattered over several tasks at once keeps you from thinking about
what you are actually doing. You only have time to complete a task quickly
before you must move on to the next one. All the while you are trying to
remember everything that has to be done. When you focus, you are able to think
about only one thing for that period of time
Focusing allows your subconscious to do the work. Think about when you
learned to ride a bike or drive a car. It was difficult in the beginning, but when
you began focusing on what you were doing, your subconscious took over and
helped you learn. The same is true in your everyday tasks. Once you begin
focusing solely on one task, your subconscious helps you do them quicker and
easier.
3. Prioritize your list - Break down your tasks from most important to least
important.
5. Set your goals - Break down big or long-term goals into smaller weekly or daily
goals to make them easier to focus on.
6. Set aside a specific amount of time each day for checking/answering email and
social media
7. Do away with multitasking - It takes a while to learn how to focus on one project
at a time, but stick with it and it will become a habit. Finish one project/task
before moving on to the next one. Become laser-focused on one task at a time.
This can really increase your productivity.
9. Learn to say NO - If you already have full day’s task list, don’t feel like you have
to take on another project for someone else.

A lot of people think to make a donation and they do it. Many think what will I get in return
if I help others. You might also wonder what the benefits of helping the poor are. Well, it is
all about helping someone in living a better life and achieving his/her dreams. You can be like
a god for somebody by offering a very little fraction of your wealth.
You can play a very important role in someone’s life if you help that person in getting better
education. This world needs more and more good people who can do good deeds to support
others in improving their lifestyle. You do not need to spend millions of dollars; a few
hundred bucks can also work to bring smile on many kids’ faces .
Many patients lose their life because they cannot afford to pay for expensive medical bills.
Even though people are not suffering from life-threatening diseases, they fail to pay hospital
bills and their situation get worse because of lack of money. These financially disabled
people need help so that they can get a chance to survive. You can work with an agency
that works to help poor people. You do not need to travel too far because you can find a
great organization online. It is obvious that many other people are now coming forward to
help poor individuals. Their problems will be solved more quickly if you also join the initiative
of helping poor.
There are many benefits of helping the poor. Some people do it because they want to spread
smiles, some people do it because they are really worried about helpless people, and some
do it to ensure everyone is happy and satisfied with what he has got.
Whatever the reason is, you should do good deeds to be a better person. The amount you
donate does not matter because you can try whatever you can do in your capacity.

16) Wildlife Conservation : Reasons Why We Need to Save Wildlife
From the dog sitting on your couch to the near-mythical narwhal in the depths of the
Arctic ocean, animals play a key role in environmental protection and human
wellness.
Let’s take a look at some of the miraculous ways animals help us
Wildlife and forests are measure of the biodiversity. By conserving the wildlife
and forest we are ensuring that all diverse species in an area survive, breed and
flourish.
Conservation of wildlife and forests is vital for ecological stability.
Forests are the habitat for wildlife and they are an important constituent of the
various food chains and food webs. Forests are needed for smooth functioning
of biogeochemical cycles, prevention of floods and soil erosion.
Forest and life therein is essential for survival of villagers and tribal people who
live in or around forests.
Many industries depend on the forest and the natural resources obtained from
there, such as timber, rubber and paper
Wildlife is very important to people who love nature and want to experience
nature in its most pristine form and forests make excellent retreats away from
the hustle and bustle of city life.
Forests give shelter, more oxygen, prevent global warming, make climate
friendly and more suitable, prevent soil erosion and landslides and help in flood
control.
Most of the today’s food crops have evolved from wild tropical plants; if they
were not saved we should be deprived of many crops in future times.
Pollination and seed dispersal by birds, insects and animals is essential to
increase diversity of genetic recombination, as variation has been a basis of
evolution.
Survival of humans and other species is dependent on producers, if the
ecosystem is disturbed and plants are affected we and other consumers will be
adversely affected.
Wildlife serves as gene library; pre mature extinction of species leads to
irreversible loss of genetic information that influences the future evolution of life
on earth.
Bio and ecological diversities are essential to all life in earth and should not be
disturbed by human actions. This blue planet, on which we live, is beautiful
flowers, green trees and animals. To save the enchanting natural world,
ecosystem as a whole has to be saved for our future generations to enjoy. Unless
the entire ecosystem is preserved, the individual species will not be able to
survive for long.
Our planet earth must be conserved for our future generations to see and enjoy.
The nature must be conserved to make the future generations more prosperous
and wealthy.
17) Do your best and leave the rest to the GOD / DIVINE / UNIVERSE
Every person in the world does their best, so there's no need to worry about whether
you achieved big or not.
In the end, what matters most is whether you did your best or not.
Leave the rest to God and be happy with what you have achieved, because there are
many people who are less fortunate than you have been able to experience life.
GOD
one god Who can come in many forms !! theists believe that god had created
everything that exists!!
The concept of God in Hinduism is very simple as well as complex. According to the
Puranas, there are 330 million gods but in practice, Hindus do not worship or
Even know the names of all gods. It is a general misconception that it is
a polytheistic religion, but actually, it is a pluralistic religion. Hinduism believes in
only one God but allows its followers to worship the God in many forms such as
nature (including trees, sun, idols, animals, etc.) and divine beings (Lord Krishna,
Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu, etc.) because the world that we see is the
manifestation of Him only.
In most religions god is believed to be immortal (cannot die) and to have powers to
control the nature... far beyond the powers of humans...
In some religion there are many gods..called as polythesim and we the humans
Believe in god!!!
god is the best listener because he hears even the very silent prayers of sincere
heart...
1) God only helps those who are always ready to help themselves.
8) God never helps people who run away from doing effort.
Successful people work hard and pray to god that they get the energy to
face difficult challenges in life.
No religion will tell you to not work hard and blindly believe in god.
God will love people who work hard than the ones who blindly believe in him,
doing nothing in life
God is meant to give us spiritual and mental power not magical powers.
The spiritual power that we get from our belief in God will give us the energy
to fight our problems.
Man is the only creature who has a feeling and that has made him/her into a
social being.
Even the unimaginable things have been created by man.
All this would be great if he creates everything for the welfare of human beings
and not for destructive purposes.
That would really make a man 'the wonderful being of God's creation’.
God is attainable. There are many paths, but the most favored is the path of devotion,
or the heartfelt love and worship of God. God recognizes and accepts the worship of
those who worship the gods (7.23; 9.20-25, 10.15). Chapter 17 tells of three attitudes
of worship (on service, see 17.20-22, 18.44). "Enriched by sacrifice, the gods will give
you the delights you desire" (3.12; 7.22). Nevertheless, true worship is not done for
personal benefit.
